Mid-Day, two days before the Capture the Flag event

Ghost, Supernova, Dynectro

It was just after classes at the academy, and many of the students were still buzzing around the campus. Most of them were eating, meeting up with friends, or using one of the many facilities the academy had to offer. Even more people were signing up for the Capture the Flag tournament, hoping that the would be chosen to compete in front of the thousands fans. Kane and Meleena had already signed up, using Kane's powers to sneak to the front of the line so they didn't have to wait. Although, it seemed like Angel had no interest in joining, and he never went to sign his name up. It certainly wasn't for everyone, but such an opportunity didn't come up often. What did come up often, however, were emergencies.

The three students felt their phone vibrating and ringing, almost like an alarm as a large notification plastered the screen. The notification read "EMERGENCY: A rank mission, report to the transportation depot ASAP. Your suit and weapons have already been accounted for, you must immediately drop whatever you're doing and head to the depot for transportation and debriefing."

It only tool the three students a mere few minutes to get their, however, Kane was the first, followed by Angel and Meleena. They were quickly huddled into a jet, strapping on their suits and equipment within a moment's notice before the jet suddenly took off in a blink of an eye. After a few moments the three superheroes huddled around the cockpit, while a staff member stood at the head of a holographic table. Images of a city were displayed, but it looked like people were running. There were small fires, broken building, and what seemed like a decent amount of robots. This city was being run down.

"It is believed that a powered individual like yourselves with the power over machinery has started terrorizing the town. He's not well known in our data books, but it's suspected that he is working for somebody bigger than himself, based on some data we've gathered over the last few days. We called you three at last minute because you guys were available and had the talents and skills necessary for this mission. Ghost will lead your three man squad. Your mission is to fight of the robots terrorizing the town, save and protect the civilians, and capture the culprit alive. We need to investigate him to get to the bottom of this investigation. Saving people is your number one priority, and kill him if you absolutely have to, but do not let him get away. This is a matter of life and death."

After the debriefing, the back of the jet opened a few hundred feet over the town. "Good luck, This is your drop." Kane didn't even bother grabbing a parachute, standing at the edge. He turned around and gave a salute. "See you down there guys." as he immediately fell out of the jet, quickly falling to the earth. "God dammit Kane." Supernova muttered, flipping her hood over her head. She gracefully dove out of the jet, making a bee line for where Ghost was landing.

"You might want to get a move on." the instructor laughed, slapping Angel's back. "This is an emergency situation, but try not to be so nervous. This is what you train for. Just go out there and do your best."

Angel made the mistake of having his gaze follow his teammates as they leaped off the jet. It was bad down there, really bad. At the instructor's words, he only nodded before jumping after them. Upon the heroes' arrival, a horde of nearby seemingly-sentient machines turned its attention towards them and lunged at them. Landing beside the other two, Dynectro immediately shed his parachute and instinctively struck their first group of attackers with multiple lightning bolts at once, causing them to crumple to the ground either from overload or the external damage taken. He involuntarily flinched at the racket his opening attack had made.

"Sorry, should have warned you to cover your ears," he remarked to his team.

The angular humanoid machines seemed to pick up on sound, and even more were scrambling towards the team of heroes. Well, at least they were drawing them away from civilians. Dynectro drew his silver long sword and flicked a switch as he swung it, allowing it to expand into a ten-foot whip which cut another mob of robots to pieces. As the three moved along the street of the town taking the aggressive machines out, it nearly slipped Dynectro's mind that they were there to identify the source of the attack and apprehend him. He figured that the robots were moving away from their source, and the fact that they were going against the flow meant that they were heading in the right direction.

Sure enough, a figure in a blue circuit-patterned suit of armor was soon spotted zipping over low-rise buildings. It moved with the fluidity of a real human being, and it was therefore safe to assume that there was actually one in there.

Dynectro quickly brought it to his teammates' attention. "Over there, in that direction!"

Upon entering the city, Ghost had managed to land first, using his phasing ability to not take the brutal force of landing without a parachute. He surveyed the area, seeing as multiple armed robots has taken a liking to destroying buildings. Just a few moments later, a loud whistling sound could be heard as a bright streak of red descended from the sky. Supernova landed in typical superhero fashion, causing a red shock wave that cleared out about a dozen of them.

"Alright, let's wait for Dynectro before we..." and Ghost was cut off as Nova was having a great time making heaps of scrap metal. Just then, Dynectro came down and was suddenly shooting lightning bolts at the nearest robots. This caused him to instinctual phase, so that his ear drums wouldn't bleed and he wouldn't be half blind from all the nonsense.

"God dammit you two... just clear them out and try to apprehend the target. Please don't kill anybody while you're at it? We're supposed to be saving them." he said, just as Nova sent a larger robot careening into the distance and exploding. while the fight went on, Nova was wildly breaking machine after machine like a blender, while Ghost went around getting civilians out of danger and saving people. Between Dynectro and Nova, it was a matter of time before the majority of the robots were cut down, and the culprit had been spotted.

"I'm on it." Supernova shouted, and she sent a shockwave at her feet to propel her into the air. The man in the blue circuit suit had little time to react before a young woman in a black and red suit dropped kicked him in the ribs at high speeds. The man was sent rolling across the rooftop, groaning as his body skidded across the rooftop and flew out across the street. Supernova caught up to the man in mid-air, using her powers to shoot her into the sky right above him. She took both her hands, lacing her fingers and putting them high above her head before slamming them into the culprit's chest. A bright flash of red and a large shock wave erupted. sending him into the street and creating a sizable crater with a sickening BOOM.

Supernova landed next to the man, brushing off her suit as Ghost unphased right next to her. Dynectro was just coming over and finishing the last of the robots. "It's over, just give up and come with us. We can do this the easy way or the hard way." Ghost said, bringing out a pair of state-of-the-art handcuffs. Without any robots, beaten badly, and surrounded, he was as good as done.

"Oh I feel the same way." the villain said, half of his suit torn to shreds, and probably having some broken bones. However, his suit seemed to shield him enough from the blows as he waved his hand in a weird motion. Suddenly screams could be heard, as multiple robots sprang up from the ground and started attacking the civilians. One in particular dug up a hole underneath the two heroes, sending them falling several feet. The villain started to run away, and it seemed like Dynectro was the only one close enough to get him.

"We're fine, just grab the robot guy. We'll save the civilians. Don't let him get away" Dynectro could hear over his earpiece, as Ghost and Supernova appeared to phase through the ground next to the new swarm of robots.

Dynectro jumped back, startled as the ground right next to him caved in, taking his teammates with it. He immediately rushed over to the pit to check on them and was relieved to hear Ghost telling him that they were alright. At the older boy’s instruction, he nodded and dashed after the technopath, leaping over debris and wrecked vehicles. However, they were quickly approaching a massive cloud of smoke that had engulfed the street ahead – a product of the destruction of a nearby establishment. It would provide the perpetrator cover, and Dynectro could not have that. He swung his metallic weapon forward, successful coiling it around the technopath and proceeded to pull him back towards himself. It was common for captives to resist only slightly, with the pain inflicted by the blades of the whip discouraging them to do so.

The thought of sending a current down the whip to stun him did cross Dynectro’s mind. It would definitely make things easier for him and his team, but no, he could not risk killing this man when there was still a chance to bring him in alive. He did not have much time to ponder over it, however, for the sight of neon red snapped him back into action. It happened way too fast. The compact laser weapon that the technopath had suddenly produced from the cuff of his sleeve sliced cleanly through the metal restraining him, right after which its beam shifted towards the electrokinetic who ducked out of its way just in time. Using Dynectro’s momentary shift of focus as an opportunity to escape, he then darted into the smoke. Without thinking, Dynectro bolted right in after him, but such an action was unavailing, as one was basically blind once they entered the cloud of dust and ash. Once the smoke cleared, the villain was nowhere to be seen, and it seemed pretty clear by then that Dynectro had lost him.

The words of Ghost and their instructor specifically saying not to let the perpetrator get away started to creep into his mind. Unbelievable. They were counting on him to do this one thing, and he screwed it up big time. If only he had attempted that stun, even killing him would have been better than letting him escape, but it was too late for that. Dynectro thought that he had him, but who was to know what the man literally had up his sleeve? There was no way he would have known, was there?

It was not long before he could hear Ghost and Nova coming up from behind. Taking a deep breath, he mentally prepared himself for the onslaught his own teammates were about to unleash on him as he turned to face them.

“I’m sorry. H- He got away…”
Can confirm, I've bugged them with many questions.
A warm welcome, and I’m allowed to drive the GM crazy with questions? Marvelous. As I have an obligation at the current moment, I will begin crafting my CS in the near future. I have some spare time tomorrow, so I’ll make sure to put careful thought into my work, as always. I’ll be looking forward to it.
The nature and complexity of such a roleplay intrigues me, and it seems that you are well prepared and invested. I stamp my interest in filling your opening for a male
Cole Anderson

Penthouse suite, top floor. Morning.

God my aching head

The night before was quite the event. There was everybody from rich business men, college girls, NFL players, musicians there, and there was way too much alcohol and drugs. Cole told himself that this was bad for his health, but he could afford to have some cheat days. Besides, he had just won the middle weight champion of the world last week, and this was his way of celebrating. An up and rising star in both boxing and MMA, he was proud that he was starting to make a name for himself. That also meant a bit of cash that allowed him to have such a nice place, which he didn't mind at all. He didn't do it for the money, but it surely helped.

Although this hangover did not, and he grabbed his head as he sat up in his king sized bed. Looking around, it seemed like he had half ass drunk wandered into his room and somehow made it into his bed. Maybe he didn't end up here himself. There were a lot of women he talked to last night, but there seemed to be quite the commotion. Lots of deranged drunk people snarling and fighting each other. There was a terrible amount of cocaine going around it seemed. Pity.

After sipping some water he could hear a faint siren echoing outside of his room, and he raised an eyebrow. Was there some kind of fire alarm going on? Or maybe there was just some really loud music. He wasn't sure, but just in case, he decided to dress himself and stuff some shit in a backpack. His attire consisted of a white tanktop, black leather jacket, ripped jeans, combat boots, and some dark shades. His backpack consisted of his sparing gloves, a t shirt and shorts, a water bottle, a few snacks, and a first aid kit. Also his wallet, keys, and other personal items. He also kept brass knuckles on himself for safety, considering he would be a prime target to get mugged. He was planning on going to the gym to practice, so even if there was a fire drill, he'd have his shit together.

Finally he ran a comb through his thick hair, putting on his dog tags and looking himself in the mirror. Bright blue green eyes stared back at him, and he rubbed the five o'clock shadow on his face. He'd have to shave that later. After inspecting himself he opened the door to his penthouse suite and gave a low whistle.

The place was absolutely trashed. Furniture was torn apart, shit thrown everyone, broken glass. Food and alcohol littered the floor, there was a pile of trash in the corner, and it seemed like a tornado hit the place. "Wow, I must have had quite the party." Cole said, looking around. Upon further inspection however, it looked like there was pools of dried blood in several spots. What the hell? It was almost like a murder scene in here. He didn't see any dead bodies, but it seemed like glass near the balcony was smashed, almost as if people launched themselves off the top floor. What the fuck happened? He made a mental note to invite less people to the after party.

The sirens were getting louder, and it sounded like there was an evacuation going on for the building. It was recorded however, and it seemed like some emergency was happening. It wasn't a fire alarm, or maybe it was. Why were we suddenly evacuating? The people here are utter maniacs apparently. Quickly grabbing an apple, he chomped it down before opening his hotel door, taking a peak outside. Holy fuck. It seemed like the entire hotel got trashed. Luggage littered the floors, paintings were smashed and plants were littering the floors. The more he thought about it the more he got confused. He just needed to get the hell out and worry about that later.

After jogging down the hallway a bit he heard a loud scream coming from one of the hotel rooms. Two screams actually, one almost yelling and the other a high pitched shriek. His brain told him nope nope nope nope nope but his legs moved him over to the ajar door. This couldn't be anything good. He threw open the door, looking inside.

"What the hell is going on in here?"

Alinda Williams

”Get the fuck of me!” Alinda screamed. She was in her hotel room, where she had woken up from the night before. Brought from her deep sleep by the wailing of an emergency siren, Alinda had awoken to find her room with no power and some mysterious person lurking in her open doorway.

Startled of course by this, Alinda had scrambled up and ordered the stranger out, threatening to call security. Instead, the stranger surged forward into her room, arms raised. Alinda had grabbed a chair from the nearby table and thrown it at the intruding man. The chair had ricocheted off his thick form and he continued forward like it had been nothing.

Alinda had tried to run past but had tripped on the rug, and in seconds her asailant was on top of her. She lay on her back, kicking and flailing her arms wildly. In the vague darkness she could still see the man gnashing his teeth at her like a rabid dog and grumbling as they struggled on the floor. Convinced this was a madman on drugs, Alinda began screaming for help, ”Help! Someone help! Get this lunatic off of me!”

Cole noticed a larger man on top of a young woman, maybe a little younger than himself. It definitely seemed like the non consensual things were going on, the woman screaming for help. The man grumbled and gnashed his teeth like a dog. Damn crack heads.

"What the fuck man, got off of her!" He yelled, rushing over to help her. He grabbed the man around his waist, throwing him to the side with surprising force. "What the hell is wrong with you mate? That's no way to get with a woman." he sighed, looking at the man.

But the monstrosity didn't even seem to understand what he was saying, and he charged at Cole head on. Cole was pushed onto the bed, holding the monster back as it tried to bite him. Cole one hand on his throat, the other on it's chest, keeping it inches away from him. It looked like it was going off of pure instinct and aggression, trying to kill him as it attempting to start to beat the shit out of Cole now with it's arms.

"Why you motherfucker..." Cole whispered, and he planted his feet on the ground. He pushed the man off of him, keeping his left hand on it's throat as he careened it's head firmly into the dry wall. It seemed like the man was still trying to fight him, and Cole was since done with this crackhead's shit. He let go of the man, winding back and delivering a clean right hook to it's jaw. A wicked snap was heard, something breaking from the force of the impact as the man slumped to the ground.

Cole breathed heavily, not expecting that at all. What's with these people? He almost never threw punches at civilians, his fists technically being legal weapons, and he could get in a lot of trouble for straight up decking someone. But this was an exception he was willing to live with.

Turning over to the woman who was attacked, which he almost completely forgot was there, he offered his hand to help her up. "It's safe now, don't worry. I won't hurt you. Are you okay?" he asked, bringing her to her feet and making sure she wasn't seriously hurt.

Alinda braced herself as the man helped her stand, the feelings of shock still careening through her mind and body. She stepped back from him steadily as she tried to compose herself, her breathing was rapid though was beginning to slow.
She looked to her rescuer, looking him in the face, ”T-Thank you,” she forced herself to swallow, hoping it would help her breathing ”wha-... what the hell was that? I had just woke up, and that psycho came into my room and attacked me.”

”And that alarm...” she said, as the faint emergency message could still be heard repeating itself. She reached up and pulled her tussled hair back, she wiped her forehead which was coated in sweat. Alinda looked the man in the face again Who-what are you-“ her words were cut short as a heavy grumble came from her collapsed attacker. He shifted around on the floor, looking up at the two. His jaw hung open loose, broken from the punch he had received. He growled, a spray of blood squirting from his mouth onto the floor as he began to rise up. Another vicious snarling could be heard out in the hallway, deeper.

"Look, you're preaching to the choir. I couldn't tell you either." Cole said, looking just as confused as she was in the matter. She looked unharmed, which was great, but the situation was slowly piecing itself in his head. His place was trashed, and blood and broken glass everywhere. The strange rumors and behavior from last night, followed by this monstrosity attacking this woman. Not to mention, when he was going down the hallway, it seemed like the stairwell was barricaded. That could either mean it was trying to keep something from getting in... or to keep something from getting out. The more the siren blared, the more he realized that whatever was causing this guy to freak out was happening to others most likely, and that's why the evacuation was going on. But what the hell was up with these people? Drugs?

Turning towards the man, he blinked in disbelief as he slowly started to stir and get up. You could see blood pouring out of his mouth, his jaw clearly broken and unhinged like some sort of snake. Any normal person would be out cold from a punch like that, let alone the pain from his jaw being broken. That professionally thrown punch even hurt the boxer a little, his hand a little red from the incident. This was no ordinary drug or illness. These people didn't feel pain, didn't have any intelligent thought, and only wanted to kill.

"I don't know who or what the hell you are, but if you're going to attack us like that, I'm not going to have a choice." Cole said, as hands grabbed at his jeans, trying to grab him. Cole reared his leg back, delivering a swift and powerful kick to it's temple. It's neck snapped back, eyes rolling to the back of it's head as it finally crumpled into a heap on the ground for good. It was most certainly dead. Was murdering him right? He didn't know, but in situations like these, you had to survive.

"I have a bad feeling that those sirens are for that." he says, pointing to the dead body. He drags it into the hallway, tossing it to the side as he sees another figure groan loudly in the hallway. It was a woman, maybe 20, in the hallway with a bright yellow bikini. But she had the same dead stare and posture of the man he had just killed, and upon eye contact she started screaming and running toward him. "Something tells me that there's a lot more like him, and that they're really sick and want to kill us."

Cole waited for the woman to come, getting into a firm and strong fighting stance. He spun around, his leg twirling as he did as a round house kick hit the woman square in the chest. There was a loud groan and a snap, the woman slamming into the wall next to her. Yup, she was definitely just like the man, as even some cracked ribs from a combat boot barely phased her. This wasn't even human.

Reaching into his jacket pocket, he slowly slipped the brass knuckles into his right hand as she angrily charged him. There was no talking or reasoning with her at this point, as his hand came out of his pocket, wound back, and popped her right in between her eyes. A sickening crunch sound could be heard as the front part of her skull caved in, and like a tree she fell down backwards. Wiping off the blood from his knuckles, he could still hear a little groaning coming from the woman before he decided to curb stomp her head in. Anything that could take a hit like that and still move around should be dead.

Alinda had watched her rescuer kill her attacker, and could hear him now in the hallway, fighting presumably another of these...psychos. The site of the dead man, the sound of breaking and crumbling bones, it was too much. Alinda bent over and emptied the contents of her stomach on the floor, which was mostly bile and finger foods from the night before.

She coughed and spit at the taste in her mouth, though after a minute stood, composing herself. Right, just be calm. Keep calm, and everything will be fine. Gotta’ keep a clear head here. Can’t fall apart. The first thing she needed was a change in clothes, her current green shorts and black bikini top wouldn’t exactly be the best right now. She crossed the room to where her luggage sat against the wall, and pulled from her suitcase a green jacket and jeans, and then reached for her sneakers.

She paused, looking around her room, wondering if she had anything else they would need. We? she thought to herself. After all, she didn’t even know this man she had just met. But, he had saved her life from that deranged guest who was trying to rip her face off. And he appeared aside from her to be the only other “sane” human being in a yells’ distance. ”In times of crisis...” as she reached for her cell phone from the night stand.

"The phone line is dead." Cole said, leaning against the door frame. He showed his iPhone, noting that it said "no service" on the top corner. "Apparently while we were sleeping something hit the phone lines. Hell, when I looked outside I didn't even see any hotel staff or policemen. There were a lot of abandoned cars, but nobody around them. Whatever this is, it's not just us."

Cole closed the door, looking out it just to make sure nothing had spotted them. He locked the door, opening his backpack up. He grabbed his MMA sparring gloves, putting them on before putting his brass knuckles back in his pockets. He only wanted to use the knuckles if he absolutely had to. He closed up his backpack and peaked out the window, surveying the scene below.

"Grab whatever shit you need that'll be useful, and then we're getting the hell out of here. I have no idea where, but here definitely isn't safe. Not with those... things running around. Then we'll find some place safe. However, we have a bit of an issue. We're on the top floor, and the stairwell is blocked off and the elevator crashed down the shaft. Our options of getting out are a little bit tougher. Either we climb down the elevator shaft, try to unbarricade the stairs and hope the rest of the way down is fine... or we start balcony hopping. One thing is for certain. We need to grab our shit and go."
Venture Academy, Mid-Day

Interactions: Everybody

At the end of the first morning class, an announcement was made over the loud speaker. It could be heard all throughout campus, in every dorm, and even outside of it, so that everybody could hear it. "Attention students. After school today there will be sign ups for a school sponsored capture the flag game. This is purely optional, but students are encouraged to participate and compete. For those of you who want to get noticed, this is a great way to show off your skills to the world, as it will be broadcast live all around the world! A true test of might, skill, and teamwork. Please sign up at the main gymnasium before this weekend, as it will be all weekend long! Have a wonderful day." The speakers cut off, and suddenly hundreds of students started to chatter. There were already details going around from some of the students who were involved, but the event went like this. There were two teams, randomly assigned and split up, and with officers chosen to lead those teams. However, only a handful of students out of those who applied will be chosen. The two teams will meet Friday and plan out their weekend before competing. The arena is in the process of being made, and will be a secret until the day starts.

All equipment and powers are allowed, and there will be staff and medical teams standing by, as well as the entire battlefield being televised. After that, there's not much details left, being a surprise. Sign ups merely consisted of your name, and you would be notified of what team you were on Friday morning, team red, or team blue. Apparently, the winners of the capture the flag tournament would win a prize. Dozens of students started flocking to the gymnasium, excited for what was to come. It wasn't odd for the school to hold events like these, but this one was totally new to the school. Not to mention, these things were never shown to the public. It seemed like people really wanted to see their heroes in action, and you can only imagine how many agencies are desperate to find some star quality heroes to endorse. Even if you aren't into all that, what could be more fun than beating the shit out of your classmates legally? There was something for everybody, and there were very few students who weren't signing up it seemed.
I wouldn't mind doing a collab post with someone about each other's chars finding each other and working together
Meleena Steele

Morning, Training room 1A

"Hostage damaged. Simulation failed"

A cry of anger and a loud slam echoed through the now empty white room, projections and holograms fading into the background as the blonde haired bombshell took a few deep breaths. Dressed in her skin tight hero costume, her hood plastered to her back, and a few beads of sweat dripping from her brow, she had been running this simulation over and over again. When she wasn't in here practicing, she was running the scenario in her head through classes. Those robotic words and the fading of holograms was all to familiar to her, and it ripped her insides to bits thinking about it.

Meleena was no stranger to tests and exams, especially for hero work. She passed most with flying colors, an experienced and passionate hero, there were almost no obstacles that could stand in her way, no mountain she couldn't climb over. Or, in her case, bast through the walls that bogged her down. Nobody dared duel her now after the countless attempts before ending in hospital visits for the other students. As a foe, she was quite the menace. But not all missions required brute force...

One Week Earlier, Mission Briefing

Kane Anderson and Meleena Steele were assigned to take down a small criminal base located in New York, which happened to be part of a long series of investigations that Kane worked on in the future. At the time they didn't know that this would lead to something so large. It was your normal, run of the mill sting operation. Beat the bad guys, arrest them, get out of there. Simple enough, and something that Meleena was especially good in. Kane could hold his own in a fight, but having that much fire power on your team was always a good thing.

They both normally worked solo, but when a partner was necessary, they normally chose each other. While their powers contrasted greatly, they also complimented each other well. Meleena was very powerful, but sometimes unstable, and sometimes others would be caught in the cross fire if they didn't get the hell out of the way. Kane could be in the thick of the fight and easily avoid her attacks, phasing and unphasing through them. This way, Mel could go all out and not have to worry about her teammate. Likewise, Kane could appreciate her offensive power being a great distraction, so that he could easily weave through the battlefield and take out unsuspecting victims. Also, it was very common for Kane to keep her out of trouble, phasing her or others that were in harms way. It was an unlikely duo, but there was not much they couldn't do together. They weren't a famous duo, more respected and well known for individual feats, but they weren't a bad team for not working with others.

Except, this mission quickly turned sideways. New intelligence came in, and it seemed like there was an underground slave trade going on, and the place where they were about to raid had them inside. This was now a hostage situation, and they needed to extract them without putting them in harm's way. This complicated things quite a bit. There was a lot more steps and precautions involved now to assure the safety of the victims involved.

"Supernova... I'm sorry to say, but due to the nature of this mission, I'll have to ask you to step down." The mission leader said, keeping his face straight and his voice stern. He knew how this was going to go.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" the super heroine said, getting out of her chair and looking at him face to face. "I can handle this, I am one of the best heroes in the academy. Just because there's civilians at stake doesn't mean I can't handle it. I could do this entire thing by myself, no thanks to your sorry ass."

"Mel..." Kane said, putting a hand on Meleena's shoulder. She tensed up, then slowly relaxed and breathed slowly. "Look, I know it's hard for anybody to tell you no... especially me. But he's right. Sometimes it's a little bit dangerous, for everybody, when you're involved. But that's not your fault, you're still controlling your powers."

Meleena turns to him, her face going from angry to sad as she looked up at him. Her "big brother", who she looked up to all the time, now telling her that she couldn't do it either. "I can do it. I've been practicing! Just give me a chance Kane. I promise I won't let you down."

"You never let me down." Kane smiled, holding both her hands in his, looking down at her. "But sometimes people are good at different things. I'm good at spy work and hostage situations, and you're good and ass kicking. I know you want to do this, but you have to trust me that I'll do a good job too. Come on, don't you have faith in Ghost?"Kane laughed, tucking some blonde hair behind Mel's ear.

Meleena simply nodded, tears welling on her cheeks as she buried her head in his chest. The two embraced, and Kane slowly brushed her hair as she quietly sobbed into her supersuit. She was frustrated and upset, but she understood what he was saying... but that didn't mean she liked it.

She looked up, wiping away one of her tears. She smiled back too, punching his arm. "You better do a good job, or I'll use those ass kicking skills on you."

Present Day, Training facility

After a few deep breaths, Meleena sighed and cracked her knuckles. She had to do this for him. To prove to him and everybody else that she was in control. That she could save people. What good was being a superhero if you couldn't even save the people that you're sworn to protect? If she ever wanted to be a good superhero, she needed to save people. She needed to not be a danger to the people she was protecting.

"Run the hostage simulation again."

"This is the 137th time you are running this simulation. Are you sure you want to continue?"

Meleena flipped her hood, her hands glowing red with energy, sparking and crackling. Her eyes turned a blood orange color. She smirked.

"I said run the damn simulation. Don't make me tell you again or I'll scrap you for parts, you metallic excuse for a robot."

I whipped this up real quick, tell me what you think guys!
