Here's hoping that my friend ships out my birthday gifts today. I can't wait to play Red Dead Redemption 2 again.

James and his Pokèmon soon caught up Jessie and Arcanine. Poochyena was still tense, scanning the surrounding area, her ears twitching as she listened for something that would indicate where the wounded Pokèmon came from.

"Poochyena..." The basic dark type Pokèmon growled softly.

"What is it, Poochyena?" James asked, realizing that something was indeed fishy here.

"Poochy..." Poochyena growled again, this time slightly louder than before.

"Riolu!" Riolu exclaimed as he went up the injured Pokèmon, trying to ask what happened to it using Aura.
James noticed Arcanine's detection of something, and soon Poochyena started getting worked up too. Poochyena ran to the evolved fire type's side, and houndour soon followed. With the three Pokèmon clearly on edge, Riolu tried activating it's aura abilities to see if danger was coming.

"Riolu..." Riolu said softly, having no luck as his aura ability hadn't developed up enough.

"Poochy... yena... Poochyena!" Poochyena barked, not seeming to care that she e didn't look that threatening, in terms of size.

"Houndour! Houndour!" The pre-evolved fire/dark type barked, almost in sync with the other two Pokèmon.

"In my experience, my Poochyena and Houndour rarely gang up like that. Especially with another's pokemon. Something's wrong." James observed, tensing a little as the trio of Pokèmon carried on.
James soon called out his own Pokèmon. A zorua, a houndour, an Eevee, a poochyena and a litten. Zorua, however, decided that it would try it's illusion ability and seemingly changed into a Lucario.

"See? Mostly fire and dark types, with the exception of Riolu and Eevee." James said as his Pokèmon went over to greet Jessie's pokemon. It wasn't too often that his Pokèmon met other Pokèmon outside of battling, so they were happy to see another trainer's Pokèmon.

"You've got a good team. They seem to be getting along with my pokemon. All of them are still babies, but with enough training, they'll be hard to beat." James said before processing Jessie's question about teaming up.

"Well, traveling with somebody is usually easier than going it alone. So, yeah. If you're willing, I would be happy to work with you. As I always say, work smarter, not harder." James said with a nod.

Jessie nodded as she understood the situation...

Jessie: It's quite alright. I guess it should be understood on how some pokemon might get. I'm Jessie. Jessie Levinson. I'm the only one left in my family as... well. You don't want to know. So... don't pull your cork for asking about it. It'd cause you to break into sobs. Trust me. I had many a nights where i had to block out all the flashbacks that pertained to facing what it was that i'd lost.

She didn't know what more to tell as it was just the first time she saw him and spoke to someone more than just a casual "Hey", "How're you doing?", "What's up?" That's all it was.

Jessie: Want to see my pokemon? I have a few... but they're pretty sweet.

"Alright. I won't ask what happened. But, sure. I love to meet other trainers' Pokèmon. I have a total of six, a full party. I can call them out if you want to meet them. They are mostly fire and dark types, but they are easy to get along with." James said, smiling softly.

"Riolu?" Riolu asked, wondering if his trainer included him in the party of six Pokèmon.

"Of course I was including you. Just not with the fire and dark types." James responded to Riolu's question with a chuckle.
Aaron sat on the porch of a run-down house. His parents were out working the berry orchards for a snobby rich family, while he and his older sister, one of which was already evolved into a Lucario, stayed home, with the eldest daughter watching over the house and younger siblings.

Though, today was going to be interesting, and young Aaron knew that the minute he woke up. His aura abilities might not be fully developed, but he felt in his aura. He mentioned to his sister, who just shrugged it off, and told Aaron that since his aura abilities weren't at their max capabilities, and they wouldn't be until he evolved, that it was entire possible that Aaron was misunderstanding the aura he felt.

"Sister might be a Lucario now, but that doesn't mean much, if anything." Aaron sighed. He didn't dare think those words mentally, though, as his sister might be able to read his thoughts using Aura.

Jessie Looked up and noticed a Riolu...

She was not sure what to make of it and didn't know if it were friend or foe. Pidgeotto felt as if the Riolu was gonna attack her trainer and immediately launched a wing attack. Protecting Jessie...

Jessie looked to then see a man walking closeby...

Jessie: *Putting out her light and Blowing the rest of the smoke away* Who the heck are you? Just passing by? You... lost?

She didn't know if she could just lower her guard and be trusting of the young man who came within her reach. She was defensive towards alot of people as the last two years were considered to be a notifiable nightmare to her. It made her untrusting of people. But for some reason... She couldn't detect a hint of danger coming from the man. Her Arcanine came out and sniffed the scent coming from the guy and it was then where it Growled once then howled in realizing that the man was not a foe. Just another fellow trainer.

The rest of her pokemon just sat and enjoyed the nice fresh air...

"My name is James. James Jones. No, I am not lost, but my Riolu seems to want to change that." James chuckled at his own statement about Riolu wanting to get lost.

"Riolu!" Riolu exclaimed as he avoided the wing attack. Then Riolu looked as if he was about to counter with force palm, only to be stopped when his trainer noticed and spoke to Riolu.

"Riolu! No! No battles!" James called to the Pokèmon.

Riolu calmed down, but kept his senses alert for more incoming attacks from Pidgeotto.

"Riolu..." Riolu apologized.

"Sorry about that. He is easily distracted at times. I guess it is because he doesn't know how to control his aura abilities yet, like a Lucario would." James said. "May I ask who you are?"
Back in California... Just on the east side of Glendale California...

South Pasadena...

Jessie: *smoking* Pidgeotto, you need to relax. You've been on the prowl for battle for a long time. Haven't stopped since we left Burbank. I don't know what it is that you see up there while flying... However why not stick close and just rest on my shoulder and rest your wings a while. You need it more than you may realize.

It was only a moment later that she made over to where there was food and grabbed something to chow down on. Jessie went for some Pizza and as she had her pizza... She made sure that she fed her pokemon and gave them a good meal.

While eating...

Jessie: Want to listen to some music while we rest and eat?

Her pokemon nodded...

Jessie: You got it. Let's hear the radio. Listen into some music.

She turned the radio on and they began to listen...

James walked around the area, his primary Pokèmon partner at his heels. They were exploring the different shops and whatnot in the area, as Vermont didn't really have too shops. Not like this state did, anyway. Sure, Vermont has it's perks, such as the fall foilage, which Riolu loved playing with the fallen leaves, but Vermont lacked what most states took for granted.

"I always knew that Vermont was a small state, but I guess that I never realized exactly how small it really is." James chuckled to himself after he spoke. The man soon paused, realizing that Riolu wasn't closely following at his heels.

"Riolu, where did you..." James started to ask where his Riolu went, and soon caught a glimpse of his Riolu disappearing into some bushes.

"Riolu!" James called, letting out a frustrated sigh. His Pokèmon was easily distracted sometimes, and this was one of them. James started to follow Riolu, and he soon caught up to his Pokèmon.

"Riolu!" The Pokèmon exclaimed, pointing at a woman that was smoking a cigarette.

"Come on, Riolu. We just ate lunch at a restaurant. You can't possibly still be hungry. That, and I'd rather not second-hand smoke." James said.

Riolu shook his head, and pointed to the woman again. While Riolu's aura abilities weren't fully developed, they were developed enough for him to read the woman's aura. Riolu could tell that something wasn't right.

Name: James "Smarty" Jones

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Motto: "Work smarter not harder."

Birthday: April 3rd

Education: College Graduate

Description: See Picture

Biography: James is from a middle class family. His father was a sheriff, and his mother was a Pokèmon ranger. Growing up, he got mostly A grades, hence his nickname, Smarty, but school life was not really good to him otherwise. While teachers loved him as a student, his peers didn't. He was bullied in school, and even got in trouble for physically losing his cool and lashing out at others.

At his 15th birthday party, his uncle, who specialized in breeding uncommon, but not legendary, Pokemon, gave James his first Pokèmon. A male level 5 Riolu. At first, James didn't like Riolu, saying that he never wanted to be Pokèmon Trainer, as it would get in the way of his school work. He often pushed Riolu away, but Riolu was stubborn and persistent. James and Riolu eventually started to get along, and James feels like his Riolu is going to evolve into a Lucario soon.

Personality: James is intelligent, and tries to go by his motto of working smarter than harder. He is friendly and outgoing, but that is mostly thanks to Riolu, as James was much colder before he met Riolu. He, with his Pokèmon team at his side, feels like he can take on almost anything.

Name:

Aaron

Gender:

Male

Species:

Riolu

Type:

Fighting

Biography:

Aaron was named after the legendary hero, Sir Aaron, who had a Lucario as his partner. Like most Riolu, Aaron's parents were both Lucario, and not very weathly, unlike one would normally expect of a Pokèmon species that was highly valued among humans. Aaron and his family, which included his two sisters, his parents and himself just recently relocated to a different wild area, in effort to avoid the risk of being caught by Pokèmon Trainers, as his father had a bad experience being a trainer's pokemon, much to the dismay of many of the rich Pokèmon families in the area.

Personality:

Aaron, like most of his species, is fun, energetic, and extraordinarily loyal Pokémon. He is also kind-hearted and sincere, but isn't very fond of humans, especially after hearing stories about how they treated his father.
Pokèmon: Family Feud

For as long as anyone could remember, two families of Pokèmon have been in what many would call a family feud. But, this isn't a story about two rich families in a feud, nor is it about two poor families. It is about one very wealthy family, famous in wild areas of Pokèmon. Then, the second family, was "poorer than dirt," as some would say.

No Pokèmon knows exactly how the family feud started, but there are quite a few stories about what could've happened. But, those are just rumors. The rich family just hated the poor family because they "ruined" the view since they moved into the area.

This is a tale of a forbidden friendship, but it may turn into something more than just a friendship.
