I think I've developed arthritis recently. I should probably invest in a better mouse pad or something.

From what she could gather from the meeting and from snippets after the battle, sometime after she went off on her own, there was a group of individuals that arrived and fought them for Adelle. And it seemed one of the people involved happened to also be a Princess of Heart? Shortly after entering battle, Drake went berserk which complicated things and Mai arrived sometime after.

Seth seemed to be angry about something though. "Speaking of Seth...", she thought as she took a look around the room, "Where is he?" The Nobody seemed to be nowhere in sight. "He must be sulking by himself again." She notices a lack of a chair for the guy in the meeting, "His punishment doesn't start until we get back, right? I think he'll show up sooner or later." She stands up and pulls one of the chairs lying close to hers and sits it up right beside hers before sitting back down. "Well, hopefully he doesn't mind sitting here. I should ask him about what happened earlier."

For the most part, Drake's story seemed to just confuse her. She wasn't one for science, and this was no exception. What little she did understand, mostly related to something within Drake taking over him whenever he is threatened, that much was clear to her. The other technicalities flew by over her head. The girl didn't like it when he mentioned V2 being expendable though, "Yep, I don't think I like this guy that much, he seems moody", her face distorting into a bit of a frown. Shortly after, Drake seemed like he was panicking.

She lets out a soft sigh before standing up once again. She walks over to Drake's side as he was spouting his lines and gives him a light slap on the back of his head. "Calm down, Drake." Perhaps it was her naivete on the topic shining through, but for the moment, getting Drake back on his feet seemed to be a good idea. "If we wanted to use you as a weapon, then I wouldn't be here because I'd object to it." Her arms crossing over her chest as she emphasizes her statement.
"No, no, you don't look fine, Cheese." The worry on Mai's face and tone was very evident. That soon slowly dissipated as Cheese used her healing magic on herself, as well as Tocsax using his to get her back into form.

"I'm sorry, this is partly my fault. I should have stayed with you guys and not have run off on my own." The girl felt guilt and regret for her actions earlier. Her decision making skills needed work, especially in the heat of the situation. Had she stuck with everyone else, maybe things wouldn't have gone this badly.

Her thoughts were interrupted by Tocsax telling them to clean up any stray Heartless in the village before rendezvousing at a guesthouse afterwards. "Well, that's one thing I won't mess up I suppose."

Timeskip

"Phew." The girl let out a loud sigh as she dropped onto one of the chairs circled around her Nobody leader. After clearing out the Heartless, she couldn't resist not helping out a little with the repairs of the village. Lifting and transporting heavy materials weren't her forte, but they were jobs that needed to be done.

Apparently they also had two new members joining their group? Had she not been so tired, she would have been all over the humanoid who called himself V2. His name, Souji Kamiya, did catch her attention though. "Is he someone from my world too perhaps? But I don't think we've advanced that far yet to have a... robot was it?" The other one seemed to have been busy doing... something. "Was he playing with fire?" She answered his query by turning her head from side to side, indicating a no. "That looks cool though," her curiosity sparked with what the boy could do with fire.

She heard her name being called out as she was fanning herself with the collar of her kimono, and with confusion answered, "Eh? I honestly don't even know what exactly happened here, so I don't think I'm qualified."
The big guy was no joke. His blocks managed to send her recoiling backwards from the force of their weapons clashing with each other. Thanks to her injuries and fatigue, she lost her balance and fell onto the ground which disoriented her for a while.

After several seconds, she forced herself to stand and got into a defensive posture, panting hard all the while. "What can I do? I'm not strong enough to beat him right now." The big guy was strong, and it looked like the others were too busy fighting... Drake? "Is he being possessed by someone?" It looked more like him going berserk than possessed though.

Her thoughts were interrupted when Tocsax casted a healing spell on her. Her strength and focus were coming back to her. It's like her injuries and fatigue didn't exist. Everything felt normal. "This is... convenient." She silently thanked Tocsax for the moment as she focused her gaze on the big guy.

However, before she could do something, they just up and left. Their malice and aura disappeared from the area, so Mai thought the coast was clear for the moment and led her ground down. Just as tendril suddenly smacked her in the side, rudely reminding her of their presence. "Oooph." She didn't find herself flying however. Tocsax's healing spell on her earlier must have increased her... strength too? Or would it be defense in this case? Either way, she had caught the tendril that had hit her with her right arm and smacked it a few times with her Keyblade.

The tendril seemed pissed off as it shook off her grip, and a comment from one of the newcomers prompted a reply from her. "You think a snake repellant would make them calm down?" She was unsure of how to take the guy's comment. On one hand, it sounded logical, but on other, it could just make things worse.

Just then, a massive cluster of tendrils slammed down by her side. It took the girl a second to realize that someone was trying to pull themselves out of the mess. "Cheese!", the girl shouted as she helped her companion free herself. As she pulled the fairy to safety, she had only now noticed the injuries her friend had sustained. "A-are you alright?" Her hands trembling as she held them out towards Cheese, unsure of what to do. Her eyes darting all over the place as she tried to thing of something to try and help her.
I feel kind of... gypped. I tried to treat Seth's decision to threaten Nate as something that would become a big controversy among the party. But Drake's berserker episode kind of... completely overshadowed it. *shrug* Oh well, no biggie I guess.

Had I been able to post earlier, Mai definitely would have chewed him out on it. Maybe if it gets brought up afterwards, it could be a cause of tension between the two of them?
Got my post up. Hopefully I didn't miss something.

So sorry again.
"Over here! Quick!"

Mai's orders towards the civilians were short, but efficient. She was able to guide a good amount of civilians out of the village for their safety from the Heartless. The Large Bodies and Red Nocturnes proved to be a nuisance for her, as this was her first time encountering such enemy types. Even at a glance, she had sustained some injuries from said Heartless, but nonetheless kept her poise and acted as if she was unharmed to keep the civilians calm and under control, something she often did back in her home world.

Once the coast was clear, one of the last men in the crowd to join called out to her and began pointing towards central square. From what she understood, apparently there was something really big happening there.

"Oh crap!" The girl got too... comfortable in her situation, as it was something she was very used to doing a lot. Just as she was about to rush out, a sting in her right ankle momentarily paralyzed her as she regained her composure. "This is gonna be a nuisance. I'll need to be careful." It was an injury she sustained from a Large Body several minutes beforehand. It had blindsided her and caused her to land on her feet awkwardly and forcefully as she recovered from the attack.

"Did something bigger appear?" Was the first question that popped into her head. The sounds of a big battle in the square were echoing through the now empty streets, even as a few Heartless did pop up here and there, of which Mai quickly dispatched.

Once she arrived at the edges of the square, she took a moment to assess the situation. "Who the heck are all of these new guys?!" It didn't feel like she was gone for too long, but now there seemed to have been at least five more non-Heartless people she didn't recognize present and fighting. She couldn't tell friend or foe at first, but when she saw familiar faces on one side, it was clear to her that the others left weren't friendlies.

"What is going on here?" One of her supposed friendlies was getting ganged up on by figures that looked like the fat person in the farther back. "Is he behind this?" She poised herself for an offense, aiming her Keyblade at the big guy before closing her eyes to focus.

"One silent step." In a flash, the girl was just a few feet away from the fat person. "Two steps infinite." Mai pulled back her Keyblade as far as she could, "Three steps, a blade absolute!," before thrusting it forward in a piercing motion towards him. "Three stage thrust!" This move was one of her family's deadliest sword techniques. In theory, it is comprised of three thrusts that "occur and exist at the same time and place". Such a technique would normally not be blockable, and be very powerful. However, with Mai's very grounded logic and mindset, she isn't able to properly execute the technique, and instead in her state, it is just three very powerful thrusts that occur one after another.

That was the idea at least. "This is bad." She put too much pressure on her right ankle during her movement, and in her second of pain, caused her attacks to slow down and give her target some time to retaliate or block should he have noticed her arrival despite his size.
Stuff got really hectic for me, so sorry I took so long. I'll read up on everyone's posts today and hopefully I'll have something up before the end of the day (if not tomorrow morning).
Something pretty big came up, so I might not be able to guarantee a post until Monday (at worst Tuesday). So so sorry =(

If need be, I'm alright with skipping a turn to keep the story going.
Mai winced at Drake's description of his world. It sounded very gritty, very grisly. Something that would immediately make her want to shut her eyes away from, but at the same time, want to try and fix. Even if she doesn't know how.

Their little meeting was suddenly disrupted when an alarm went off. Everyone was quick to follow through, although Mai did let her comrades go through first and was the last to come out.

What she saw paralyzed her for a moment. The place was in shambles. Screams of pain and agony roared through the village, and the sight of a mother and child being closed in by a group of Heartless sprung her into action.

Brandishing her Keyblade, the girl quickly dashed forward and thrust her weapon against the Soldier that was closest to her, and shortly disappeared after her weapon went through it. The Shadows in their vicinity were quick to react to their comrade falling, and had shifted their focus towards her. As she was clearing out the Heartless that were surrounding the mother and child, she shouted, "Leave the civilians to me!", to the others. Her swift and methodical strikes making short work of the weaker Heartless.

One of the Red Nocturnes at the farther side had shot a fireball towards her, and she couldn't dodge it in time as she was busy with the other Shadows. The fireball pushed her a few inches back and left a burn on her right forearm which she used to block it. "Tch." The pain wasn't unbearable, but it stung. "These guys are new." After a moment, she took her stance and aimed her Keyblade at the Red Nocturne. "I'm just warming up!"

...

After dispatching a few more Heartless from the vicinity of the mother and child, she quickly ran up to them and held out her hand. "Come with me! I'll take you somewhere safe." She didn't exactly have a plan in mind yet, but for the moment, her biggest concern was to get as many civilians to safety as possible, even if she didn't know where that safety was right now. The other Heartless were closing in, so she hoped that they would cooperate immediately.

Keyblades come with automatic translation magic, Seth presumably knows multiple languages, and Apokaukos enchanted Drake to be able to understand Non-English languages without his knowledge.

OK, gotcha. I just assumed that everybody knew how to speak English despite their nationality differences and backgrounds.
