Johnny wipped out his handgun at the sound of the woman, though he quickly holstered it back once he realized she was amongst the living. He was helping Raven to be held up on her feet, and Ethan had come from behind the wreckage with a hung head.

"I'm fine," Raven spoke. "Just a little woozy from the crash, is all."

Ethan shook his head toward Johnny, indicating that the rest were gone. It only took him seconds to realize they were, however he took some time behind the vehicle to put Ashley down. She still was moving, though he knew she was dead. She was one of his best students, which is why sticking a switchblade into her brain topped the list of all the hard things he had to do recently.

"We can't stay here," Johnny said, not even taking the time to fully acknowledge the newcomer. "There might be more of them." He pointed to the feral beast that was crushed and split in two on the roadside. "I have friends nearby, they said something about a farm. Frank and...John? Jake? Shit what was his name? ...Ah, James. Some kid named James, I think. I don't know if you know what's going on, but..."

There was a rustling in the shrubs nearby. Johnny immediately pulled out his gun and aimed as a squirrel ran out before them.

"Fucking squirrel!" Johnny yelled, then tried to pretend like it didn't alarm him. "Lets move, I think it was this way."

He started off in the wrong direction.
Ooh witcher. My favorite games.
Ill give tk another day, then ill move it along. Im to tired to type right now lol
K, ill move the characters over with the farm characters when I get a chance. Well just assume everyone else died lol. But if he comes back he can just be there.
"Hey!" Dalious grunted at the sentinel as he lifted him and patted him off. "I can do it myself!" He gave Gortul a displeased look. Dalious would never admit to it, but he was thankful for the man's aid to an extent. "I liked you better when you were a mute! Who's Diane?"

Before the conversation could go on, the prince had approached and Dalious found himself naturally giving a slight bow. "Ah, young prince," he said as he prepared to answer him, though they were interrupted by others. A paladin brought forward what appeared to be a pupil of his. The unwilling young apprentice was to fight in the arena under the princes' name and banner, which gave Dalious an idea to pay back the favor of saving his life.

As they continued to speak before him, the pirate pulled out a coin he had pick pocketed from Gortul just moments ago, flipping it through each of his fingers in thought. He often liked to think amongst silver or gold, for no other reason then he liked the feel of it. He also began to wonder if he had any warrants of arrest in Gurata, but that subsided once he realized he had never been this far to the north. At least on land. It was when he realized Gortul was staring at him that he smiled and flicked the coin back to the large sentinel. "Sorry, pirate."

He turned and bowed again to the prince once his attention had come back to him. "No inconvenience young prince," Dalious spoke. "In fact, I see but opportunity. My name is Dalious Durendail, famed pirate and adventurer of the southern seas! Perhaps you've heard of me?" He spoke proudly but falsely, as his fame was clearly only in his own mind. He ignored his own question and continued. "I was amongst the villages attacked by H'kelans. Minding my own business, selling fish to the locals and what not." He lied as he didn't think his sentence of being hanged that day added to the story in the very least. "Ahem, then out of the forest they came in great number. It was a massacre, young prince. I barely escaped and rode to the north, where you found me and my horse...." The pirate looked around the company and had just realized the stallion that he rode out with was indeed taken along with them. He gave off a sigh, as he also owed something to the animal.

"I would but pay back the favor," he started again. "Allow me to take place of one of your men in this arena battle, allow me to pay you back for my life. Worst comes to worst, you save one of your men and but lose a meesley pirate."

so i'll let you guys vote. Should we set a certain time limit for posts? say, a week or two weeks? If no response within said time limit, should we kill off the characters or just continue on 'assuming' they died. That way if they ever come back, they can just pretend they went along with everyone? What do you guys think? I'm personally all for killing people off lol. Just to get the story moving.
Dalious awoke to the sun at his face. It was a displeasing feeling, though it was quickly covered by the shade of a massive structure. He cracked his neck forward, realizing he was saddled upon a horse with a large man tending the reins behind him. He took a moment to glance at the company he was currently and somehow within, noting the different faces and such. None of it made much sense to him until his memory had started to return. He was wounded, and somewhere along the way everything went dark. Reaching back with an aching free arm, he felt the bandages behind his shoulder. Whoever they were, they patched him up and took care of him. It was a nauseating feeling to be in one's debt, but he had always stuck to a pirate code and wasn't about to give up his morals just yet.

The man burdened with riding him along was at the rear of the company, not saying a word to him even though he must have already realized he was awake now. Dalious remained quiet for awhile as he watched them lead into this arena. Perhaps they weren't as kind as he initially thought, maybe he was their prisoner and they were about to give him up to some authority. The pirate tilted his head back and rested it on Gortul's shoulder, awkwardly staring at him direct in his eyes.

"Would it be possible to drop me off at the local tavern, mate?" he asked in a pleading manner. "I'm not so big on group meetings. Anxiety and all."

He gave off a smile, but kept his head against the man's shoulder as it was surprisingly comfortable. He had only just now realized that his head was aching more so than his shoulder wound, which currently wasn't a problem at the moment. The gaze from the large man told Dalious everything he needed to know, be silent. Either that, or this man just naturally gave off the intimidating factor. Dalious huffed and tilted his head back upright.

Being ignored, the rider brought him in at the rear of the company, where Dalious quickly realized he was not even an issue to these people. A few politicians of whatever city they were in came forward, and some words were had. 'What the hell is going on?' he wondered. Then he heard it, coming from the apparent leader of said group.

"I am Cyril Serio, the Prince of Barcea."

What would be the odds of that? Being rescued and cared for by the great prince of Barcea himself! He had never thought to come across royalty in all his days, but then again, he had never thought a dwarf could ever get the best of him either. Strange how life unfolds, but such is the way in war times.

As the company moved together into the arena, Dalious was halted by one of the guards and left to stay where he was. He gave off another huff, though he didn't much care for politics anyway. He leaned back and crossed his arms, unsure of where he stood in all of this. The only thoughts that came to his mind were that he owed these people a favor, and that the prince must of had a lot of coin. To aid a prince in war time surely could help the pirate's financial status. He turned his attention back toward Gortul.

"So, how did a man like yourself come to be a sentinel?" he asked, having already known about the famous soldiers. "Must be quite the ladies man with such a title?" He impatiently waited for a response that never came, at least not quickly enough. "Don't tell me you're a bloody mute?...I need a drink."
