There is a strong, strong difference between making a clan strong and making a clan seem strong. Within the canon Senju and Uchiha were always the top-tier, always against each other. If one side hired Senju, the other side hired Uchiha because the results were always that close. No other clan was able to compare to them back in the day. Now I'm all for creativity and exercising the freedom to express your own unique ideas in what is meant to be an enjoyable environment for everyone, but I just do not understand why with the mention of Natsumi's potential you suddenly felt it necessary to put yourself on the level of Uchiha clan wise when they had only one equal. You're not the first person I've seen try to measure self-importance through clan greatness and use the deeds of the past to lift your character up into what you want to be considered 'threatening'.
I've read a lot of templates. Everyone wants to be important. Everyone wants to be fast. Everyone wants to be noteworthy for something. I understand that need entirely. But I just do not think the deep roots of clan history need to be reworked so you feel like your character is worth more by comparing it to another clan of a more fearsome status. I understand why you're doing it, but I don't think you have to do this, and I wish you didn't do it, but if it's what you feel you need to do to bolster yourself to others, then it has to be that way I guess. I just talked to Sketch about this same issue and, Sketch I hope you're not mad I bring this up, he used his story not to present his character some sort of inner turmoil or something he had to cope with for the rest of his life, but he did it for a pursuit of power. He did it for a Mangekyou Sharingan entryway. Naruto roleplayers seem to have this deep, dark need to put power over characterization. Status over uniqueness. And I'm just telling everyone, not just you, that it doesn't have to always be this way.
So I need to ask: Why was measuring your clan up to Uchiha status really necessary when your history beforehand was perfectly fine? And why was it only after we went over Natsumi's potential that you have done it? I think it might be because of exactly what I said above, but I can't speak for you, you're the only one who can do that.
I'm not asking you to edit it (Pierce and I need to decide how important ones history is really worth to our immersion. I chewed someone else out for a history I didn't find sensible either. You know the one) but I'm asking you to be honest with me about this.
