Tadaaa. Villages are usually full to the brim, and them being within or very close to the exterior really didn't matter as long as they had a presence close by. Even then, I'm pretty sure this would go differently if the barracks was within the walls. This is their home, they'd rather not see it leveled. Kirigakure was basically the same. I believe Suna and Iwa will be different. Kumogakure's status is unknown right now for that.

Guess I'll pretend you're somewhere in the forest; no Imperials in Konoha itself right now man.

Gonna see if the people who were waiting for this exact event will post and I'll move us forward in a couple days time if they don't happen to show.

Never happened. Figured I made it clear enough that everyone was already in a shelter knowing that this was about to go down, and the key time this happened was at the time the fewest amount of Imperials would be on patrol. The small number that stayed behind would be eliminated in quick silence, which means every other soldier is flooding from the barracks towards Konoha. Like I said before, don't like asking people to edit, but I thought I made the post perfectly clear. Adjust it please.
