It'll probably always burn deep down because of its potential, but the signs of him doing anything to make it end faster and try to make it 'epic' when it was really pointless and shitty were there. Maybe I'll look the history of Haymitch's games up later on.

Well, at least the author tried. Better than some pairings he brought together because $$$, because satisfy everyone even when it doesn't make sense and isn't satisfying, because FUCK SOME AUTHORS. Whew. Anyway yeah I get that in the first movie but in the second? Eeeh less justified. You don't love him like a lover, why do you keep kissing him then Katniss? Just a dumb back and forth I'd rather not witness. I'm nearing the end of the movie so hopefully I see what you're talking about. I'd love to know Haymitch's story and what he lost in these games, maybe author will consider a prequel book or something.

Well to most authors, some good, some bad, pairing wars help sell their content and get it out there. You have die hard fans shipping things until the day they die and it helps promote their material. I would have liked seeing Haymitch in the games but his influence is outside of it. If Peeta was on the outside, I don't know if he'd be able to help them like Haymitch did Katniss unless Haymitch taught him some skills or told him who to talk to. A lot of the Katniss Peeta moments are pretty forced to me, but then again anything leading to a pairing can feel pretty forced to me. I have no bias for any pairing, but I agree that Peeta and Katniss just don't seem to fit for me. Great friends, yes, but nothing else. Maybe if I get to Mockingjay in the future I'll see what you're talking about xP

I don't mind our other discussions at all, but it's pretty clear based on your progress in BAFE that you're on a Hunger Games high right now xP My shipping bone isn't very strong for it, but I can see what you see.

Yeah a lot of authors these days seem to be making endings to books that the fanbase isn't always satisfied with, and I don't know if it's just the pairing wars being lost for people or if its just lacking satisfaction. I like them better as friends too, I didn't get the huge leap with 'Haymitch promise me Peeta lives.' and I thought I might've missed how important this was for her. Maybe because Katniss is just a good person? It just feels like a case of 'Read the books to better understand it' and I may need to do that. Movies just don't get everything.

Oh really? Mmidnight should thank me for helping you give her something amazing to read when she gets up. I'll be patient and wait for ours then, gives me more time to think.
