Sakura made a good clone play against Ino using her awesome chakra control and got a really slick punch on her, but otherwise no, Ino and Sakura were dead even. The only reason Sakura managed to tie with Ino is because Naruto was all "If you're gonna lose like this then that's really lame!" cause Ino possessed her body and was going to make her surrender. Sakura's willpower forced Ino out from there. I do agree that if Kakashi did more Sakura might have had a stronger edge, honestly Ino should have won, it's just plot that Sakura beat Ino out (and Naruto screaming). But next exams everyone's going to be talking about Sakura for sure.

WELL Kakashi will accept responsibility for that, I think his lack of care for her will be touched on either during the day or within the next few. Perhaps over lunch Sakura should voice her feelings on that and Kakashi will try to explain things from his point of view. It'll be nice.

It's a complicated one, but his confidence in her should serve as some serious encouragement. Naruto learned Rasengan in a week, he believes with Sakura's stronger chakra control and intelligence, not to mention her strong desire to improve, she can master Water Dragon Bullet in that short amount of time. I don't expect her to even come CLOSE to doing it today, especially with the conditions Kakashi is going to put her under. It's going to frustrate her, and it'll be expected, but she'll come to discover that Tsunade asked Kakashi not to take it easy on her. If she can survive Kakashi's expectations, she'll be ready for the conditions Tsunade will put her under. Yes, have Sakura do that, Tsunade will have asked Kakashi to prepare Sakura to become stronger. As it stands she's pretty unremarkable, but if Kakashi works with her she'll be very capable. It might seem mean to think of Sakura in that way, but it's true that compared to her teammates she has, at this point in time, nothing really going for her. Kakashi and Tsunade are going to work her to the bone! So yes, go with that.

Well the way I saw it, Sakura asked Tsunade and Kakashi both, but Tsunade approached Kakashi too about helping groom Sakura. She didn't put them in a room together and give them a stern talking to, haha. But a reflection on her requests and her progress thus far are good. This is just Day 1 so she's got a long way to go, but Kakashi has been supportive so there's no concern there. You can just have her be ready to move on to the next phase and call out to Kakashi. Kakashi is going to have her perform the actual jutsu now, but there will be a catch that she might be frustrated with. It may seem unfair, but in the long run she'll likely thank him for not holding her hand so much, and afterwards she'll REALLY want that break. Everything he mentioned to Pakkun is their little secret~

The training had just started half an hour ago, so I think that after a few attempts at the next phase he could take her out for lunch and praise her for her progress so far. It makes the most sense to me that way, and may make her lunch more rewarding if she's a little bit winded afterwards, since all she's done is gradually improve her hand seal speed. Is that fair? Trying not to step on your toes.
