But then my hands would smell like gloves all the time, but I guess that beats chemicals and nasty ass food bacteria on my hands. Fuck me...

I don't even remember all the factions at play right now. LEDA, that wacky group Gracie was from, etc. X.X

Lmao SOMEDAY FOR SURE. I know the feel of waiting for certain people to ask for certain roleplays, but luckily, and unluckily, I don't have much time to lurk for 'em anymore.

I will perfect the art of breasts, or die trying <3

Nuuuu, KakaSaku first, we need to get to the juicy stuff >.<
Lin had lost her awareness of everyone and everything surrounding her for the time being. Since arriving here, she had not been her usual upbeat self. The events that brought them to this location were a blur; she recalled running, inner flames being utilized to repel some people that were no doubt enemies, and then nothing more. What made things worse was that a few familiar faces were missing. Sleeping on the job was uncommon of her and she was disappointed that she was so out of it. Had she been awake with the others she may have been able to assist them. Now that stranger, Gavin, was lost as well. Her sadness at losing him to the Empire was overwhelmed by her confusion. Worse yet, no one had said anything to her about it. They had been unaware that she wasn’t able to recall everything down to the letter, even if it happened within the last hour.

She glanced upward from the table before her and looked among her comrades, paying enough attention to catch what Rika would be up to. If there was no mention of anyone else, then that meant that Gavin was the only possible casualty. All they needed to do now was endure the waiting period, giving time for Rika to locate the core and call them in to assist when needed. That normally would have brought comfort or excitement, instead she continued to feel out of place. It was time to ask, if no one would ask for her.

“Hey …um,” Lin didn’t know the best way to put it. How was she meant to explain that she had no idea what she was really doing up until this point? Hesitation would not provide an answer, and the last thing she could do now is have a seat and just meditate. After a moment’s pause she had attempted to continue, this time concluding her thoughts. “Do any of you happen to know how I got to you? I remember running, but I don’t remember waking up. I can’t even remember what I’ve said until we got here …how did we get here again?”

“Are you sure you want her to do it alone?” Alem murmured to Rika. The pair waited nearby the staircase after Asahina took to wandering off. At first Alem was going to ask her what she intended to do on her own, especially without any existing knowledge of the palace’s layout, much less the dungeons, until Rika held up a hand and smoothly pressed a finger to her mouth. He didn’t say a word from there.

“She’s gotta learn how to take some initiative sometime, it may as well be now.” The assassin said in a hushed, pleasant tone, “Besides, I can hear her, and everyone else nearby. I think I know where they’re keeping the prisoners, and Asahina can handle one guard – the only guard – by herself.”

Alem waited to see if it was true. In a short amount of time Asahina had returned holding a set of keys, keys often kept at the side of a jailer. He did not know how she managed it by herself, but judging from the expression on Rika’s face after she had heard something he could not, she had the potential to become very capable in situations like this.

“Well, we could probably slice through the bars but it was a good effort on your part. You sure you’re not part Masaki?” Rika teased before swinging the loop of keys around with her right forefinger and hustling to the location of the prisoners. With the rest of the way clear for them, Rika had guided them further into the musty, depressing dungeons.

“How can you be certain they’re down here?” Alem asked.

“Their heartbeats. When they’re all grouped together like that, it’s impossible to ignore. Not like I need to strain my ears to listen either, especially with this place so silent.” Rika explained. Disruptive noises might have had a greater hand in distracting her ability. “Did I mention how easy this has been so far?”

“You have.”

“Oh. It’s easy.”
Rika said for good measure.

The closer the group had gotten, the faster Rika seemed to move. Rounding a corner resulted in them being face-to-face with said dungeon, where ahead of the trio lied a cell. The darkness had made it difficult to see, but it was thanks to the light from nearby torches that she could manage to prove for certain that they were in the right location. Only their lower halves were exposed with a certain set of legs quite smaller than the others.

“H-hello? Is …is someone there?” Came a meek voice from within the cell. Alem had immediately tensed, something that had not gone unnoticed by Rika. The latter utilized the keys – if only to have Asahina feel more accomplished – and slid the cell doors back. Taking a nearby torch from the walls she had stepped inside the cell, illuminating several rough faces. Among them rested the Sultan, nestled between what Rika assumed were guards of various impressive sizes. Covered in dirt and closing their eyes tightly at the sudden appearance of light, what followed were small groans of pain. All were bruised except the Sultan himself who appeared perfectly unharmed.

“Not Jasmine, but just as good.” Rika moved to the shackles that bound the group together. As she did this, the guards took to asking questions as a ray of hope began to show.

“What day is it?”
“Is the Empire beaten?”
“Do you have any water?”

“Gentlemen,” Rika cut in firmly, “one thing at a time, please. Alem, you got this?”

Alem’s hardened stare had not left the Sultan. Once attention was diverted to him, the guards all examined him as closely as they could. His demeanor was not as warm or ecstatic, yet around him they were more comfortable given he was a native to this world and one they knew fairly well. A scuffle with them was rare. It was known that Alem only engaged guards who abused citizens, and all those inside the cell considered themselves very fair and honorable. The Sultan looked fearful of Alem’s gaze and tried to avert his eyes only to fail in finding some level of comfort. When this young man stared at you, you felt it sharper than any dagger.

“There is a servant here who can guide you to water, as well as weapons. Today is the day you receive your freedom and fight against this Empire. We’ve waited long enough.” Alem gestured towards the exit. “His name is Rafiq. Once he sees you, he should be able to assist you in getting on the outside.”
“B-but wait a moment,” The Sultan, now freed thanks to Rika, rubbed his wrists and nodded in thanks, “what about my daughter, Jasmine? I haven’t seen or heard from her since I was placed in here. We need to save her—“

“I assume these men stayed loyal to you, while traitors roamed upstairs. They chose to defend you over their own well-being, and I think you lack the gratitude you owe them.” Alem said harshly, “We will locate Jasmine ourselves, she is likely still in the palace in its deepest, darkest corners. Let these men get out of here and prepare to fight on the outside. They can help secure the palace if they are strong enough.”

The Sultan appeared defeated for a moment, but determination had appeared within seconds. If they had not located Jasmine yet, he’d just need to help them. There were places within the palace he could help guide them through.

“Then allow me to come with you. The guards will do as you said,” He looked among them, “and I am very thankful that you all stood by me in our darkest hour. I’ll reward you however I can once this is over.”

“A reward is often the deed itself,” Alem muttered

“Speak for yourself, handsome.” Rika winked at him and tossed the keys to one of the guards. “We’ve got a princess to save, so get going you guys.”

Offering words of thanks as they departed, the several palace guards bolted to the exit in order to locate Rafiq and find necessities; water, weapons, and information best suited to helping them beat the Empire back. This left the Sultan, Rika, Asahina, and Alem in the dungeons below.

“I remember witnessing plenty of strange beings travel through here several times, heading down much farther than this place. If Jasmine is still here, she must be farther below this place somehow.” The Sultan adjusted his pants and hat, hobbling out of the cell with the other three close behind. He still felt Alem’s eyes on him intently, but a brave face was better than a scared one. “There were times I often heard stones shift and …what I believe to be harsh yells in the dead of night. I don’t know what’s went on outside of my cell, but I do know that my daughter needs my help – our help!”

Rika cleared her throat and held up a hand. Locating a secret passage was nothing new to her, and Alem was probably capable of finding where they needed to go, too. Instead of all the easiest options available, the blonde turned to Asahina.

“Okay, you’re up again. Think you can find a way for us?”

They were surrounded by walls, yet if what the Sultan said was true then this passage could not have been far. In spite of what she suspected, this dungeon was not extraordinarily large. If this was meant to be the lowest part of the palace, then it made sense for the Empire to craft a means of getting down even lower to conceal their core.
I'll wash dishes for less money but more hours, at least the only fucked up thing at the end of the day will be my pruned hands and not my back/arms/legs xD

A MONTH on the couch? Oh my god, I feel you bae :C and I think Rachel in a position of weakness was extremely new to her, but unfortunately she was no more intriguing than the others. I hope she gets better by next season so we can see her evil self! And Mrs. S was a mystery for sure, but I never paid much attention to her. Everything she does is for Kira and that's her entire character, everyone else is proven expendable, but after Helena's freedom that may change.

I tried to get into Dragon Age multiple times but I HATE the combat system. It's like KotOR, only worse in every possible way, and I'm tired of needing to down health poultices every ten seconds. Fuck.

It doesn't help I'm an anxiety-filled nightmare, but once things calm down IRL I'll definitely try to draw some things. I will draw SO much smut, oh my god, I will draw ALL THE SMUT IN THE WORLD once I'm super good. May take me a few years though :C

Okay, looking forward to it :D
I'll leave if the pain becomes too much for me to endure, because I need money. I don't want to go into retail or anything, I can't stand faking smiles for random assholes all day but you gotta do what you gotta do, right?

Yeah, I get that, but I still don't like her much. Cosima kind of hit a low point for me too, but I think that's more because she didn't have a large chance to shine this season. Thanks for the support xD and I'm hoping this mattress is so freaking worth it in the end, because this piece of shit futon I'm sleeping on for the past week AIN'T DOING IT. I HAVE NO ROOM TO JUST ROLL AROUND! :CCCCC

I know what you mean. I need a lot of motivation to do things lately, but I want to work on that and make writing fun again, just as fun as a good video game!

I haven't been able to, no time, and no money to spend on the materials again. Sad part is that it feels like artists get way more credit than good writers =/
It's been about three weeks, I just figured my body would be used to it to the point I don't feel a thing, but I guess I'll need to try another month before I see that kind of result. Also, yeah, I'm SUPER scared I'm gonna fuck my body up and it'll never heal from an injury :C

Alison didn't really show much haste in telling him to back off. Her desire to tell him, straight up, that she was happily married with Donnie and wasn't interested in screwing around was almost nonexistent. Donnie stood up for himself though where Alison wouldn't, so I'm happy that he won the war, even if he lost the battle. Helena is also my favorite character! "Did you threaten babies? You should not have threatened babies." she says, forcing Donnie out and GETTING READY TO KILL SOME MOTHERFUCKERS. Woo! As far as your plate goes, I'm sorry to hear you're losing a good roleplay =/ my plate IRL is pretty big as of late. I've got school related shit I need to work out. I have an eye exam I need to get done in a couple weeks because they can't get me in any sooner, and I can't take my drivers test until I fix that because I don't want to drive with only one eye being good. Not to mention I need to buy a mattress and a new computer chair. This is all before I can even buy things I really want with my money. I haven't had $200 dollars in the bank since I started this job X.X

I was writing a fic too, but its Naruto related. I lost my drive to write and haven't touched it in a couple months, probably sad for the fans I managed to get. I think you should continue writing some fanfiction, too!
Classic Bonnie and Clyde it is. Haha, but yeah, I'll look for something easier, I'm not getting strong fast enough. And FUCK PEOPLE who order 120 pound packages and shit, dude. Next time you order something heavy just remember someone worked hard to get that out of a dirty ass truck xD

Oh dude I was SO nervous when Helena said she was going to look for him. I was scared he wouldn't want her anymore, but he totally came back for her and I was like d'awwww. It kinda ruins the idea of Donnie and Helena having this little 'fling' like Alison did with that asshole but she'll be happy and I'll be happy too. Art's cool but his role was so minimal this season, it was somewhat disappointing. I didn't care much for Gracie, maybe it's her face or the fact she's nothing but someone's pawn but I just don't care for what fate she has. Paul went out like a BAMF, gonna miss him. Also, that one guy who clubbed his 'guard' so eccentrically was great xD
Well for now it's all I can secure. It's a physically stressful job, and I can't see myself ever going full time there, not until I'm a lot more physically active and stronger. If I get the chance at another job I'll be taking it.

Yeah Delphine and Cosima were extremely boring this season and I did not care for either. Alison was MEHHHH. Cal was missed, but I do prefer less focus on Kira anyway. And Felix, boy, I felt like he wasn't used a lot either. It's very hard to explain. I don't know about Leekie other than he was a good actor. Rachel was also pretty MIA and did not contribute to very much as things went on, but I think next season will make her a player again.
Posting later tonight.

Also, if we manage to get to Twilight Town, and I have my doubts, I'm reserving a public figure -- the mayor -- for said world.
Well, the job is ...painful. I mean, the hours are painful ...the work can be painful ...it's painful, man. I drown in Icy Hot sometimes because I just ache. Stay in fucking school dude, I don't want to do that all my life, nor should anyone. It's been a while, but trust me, once you get hired to a job as physical as mine you probably won't have time for the joys of writing as much as you'd like. I know I haven't been able to, depressingly enough.

I caught Orphan Black's entire season, and boy was Helena/Donnie my favorite pair during the season, those two are gold. Alison was really boring in contrast and had just about nothing to do with anything the entire season, but that twerk session with Donnie on the bed was definitely one of her finest moments in the show xD
"Hm?" Kakashi mumbled in response to her behind-the-scenes lunch preparation. Sakura taking initiative not only in training but in preparing a meal was both surprising and, in a strange way, cute. Until he had begun to work with her, Sakura was one of the last people on his mind when it had come to taking initiative. Bringing that up would not serve any purpose. Instead, the Copy Ninja listened closely to her, particularly when she mentioned her thanks. Confidence could carry her a long way, but without the hard work she would remain stagnate and average in her field. He joined beside her as she moved to her pack, opening it and examining the contents. Her meal preparation was spot-on; everything inside was well prepared, and the presentation, while simple, was still effective in making him want to eat it. Taking a seat at the base of the tree, Kakashi pressed his back against it. Without a word he had accepted her offering of lunch.

"Sakura," Kakashi began, "I need you to continue believing in yourself, even when I'm not around to tell you that you can accomplish anything. You have talent, and you know you have it. Validation is important, but you won't always get it when you want it most. Ninja can operate without it. It's going to be something you'll have to get used to in the future."

Sakura had been very responsive to compliments and gestures of approval. It was going to be her job to slowly overcome that need and become more independent as time went on. Kakashi took the chopsticks in hand and separated them before poking at his meal, wondering what to try first.

"I believe that even without me you can become strong, but working with me you could become even stronger. And as long as you're with me, I can become a better mentor. I'd say we need one another, wouldn't you?" He turned to her, a pleasant look only made evident by his closed eye. There might have still been resentment inside her about his lack of singling her out like Sasuke. Kakashi was ready to change that, as long as she was willing to accept that he was here to help her here and now.

The immediate concern Sakura would need to have is that they were not in the village. Kakashi was training her to be aware at all times, and she was in an environment where anything goes. Although he was eating in peace, he was already planning the next step of her training. In place of his own warnings he had set up an ambush to occur as they headed to lunch, but her initiative of prepping one for them had been unexpected. Kakashi had forgotten about said ambush, only made aware by feeling the earth beneath him being subtly disturbed. Years of experience with Earth-style ninjutsu would offer him that advantage, but Sakura's affinity for water at this time would not serve useful here. Instead she would need to rely on her instincts; her teacher was beside her, but she was still being trained. Even at a time like this he could get the jump on her in any form. His precious book was in no immediate danger, meaning he was perfectly at ease beside her.

A burrowed ninken was creeping up behind her at a slow, deliberate pace. It would emerge and take hold of her arm or leg if it could, resulting in an assumed injury. This was her teacher's favorite tactic: attacking when one least expected it.

"We still need to find your strengths, don't we?" Chakra control and book smarts could get her somewhere, but actual tactics in the field would need to be fostered through actual training together. Kunoichi had a specific role in the world, but Kakashi could not teach Sakura about seduction, and he knew very little about poison crafting. Her role as a woman was not going to limit her, nor should it limit anyone. In his hands she'd become a versatile weapon, and within the next month she would be unrecognizable to those who saw her match in the Chuunin Exams.

Having completed his meal, Kakashi let out a sigh of satisfaction and sat up from his rested position, glancing over to her just as the ninken rose from the ground and attempted to grasp at her arm.
