Oh you know for a fact there are writers out there who self-insert the shit out of themselves in a character. It's not ALWAYS bad... but it's ALMOST ALWAYS bad, lol. Oh dude we WILL have that problem, because Kurama is a sick character on his own, and is the one guy Hiei admitted he'd rather never fight. Mako's a dweeb so we won't need to worry about that. Joffrey's like... ten years away before even becoming close to a real man, since he comes from a family of sneaky little cunts, so maybe he'll be paying debts in person, rather than setting up people in weddings.

I think it's just because everyone wants to be the 'bad ass' anime character that shits gold and pisses holy water, so they refuse to let them feel any sense of danger. And every hit they take was 'a part of the plan' or some shit. I don't care how strong a character is because it's easy to overload a character's kit. I like characters with limited abilities who can overcome an obstacle, on TOP of being a great character I can root for and find interest in. Some people just don't find the balance.

That's funny, because the assholes I'm talking about were basically just trying to be bad asses. You need someone not afraid to lose. No one likes to lose. Period. One of these days you and I will have a fight in the arena, maybe, or in one of these rp's.

Gotta find balance. Are you telling too much and overloading the imagination, or are you saying too little and making the fight a little too dull and lacking in mechanical skill? Some people try way too hard. Used to write with a couple dudes on another forum that didn't stop jerking themselves off to their 'fighting skill' when it was largely a share of asspulls and overpowered characters that won a fight before it began anyway.

They need to help each other with a LOT of things. I miss them :C

You say fighting scenes are your weakness. We'll work on that, since both our 1x1's--and maybe WAY DOWN THE LINE, GoT--will involve some heavy action after we handle all the sensitive bits.

Sounds about right. If you'd like, she CAN miss and get a minor wound as a result, but I think Botan can at least hit a dumb little imp if she tries her best. It's not like she's trying to hit Hiei x3

My next response will be manageable. I'll deal with the first two imps and let Botan handle the one that's going for her. Smaller posts, but progress is progress.

Yeah, a puppet master of the imps, who is a puppet for another puppet master. A pawn using pawns.

Kurama was going to capture the last one remaining and it was going to explode before it could rat its master out. We can work it out so Kurama destroys the first two, they explode, and that's enough to distract both of them for the moment so one flanked and leaped towards Botan, pressuring her into action.

I was actually thinking it was the student under control, and that was his minor power. Just control over lesser demons and detonating them while concealing his presence from Kurama as he is.

Kurama wouldn't let her get hurt if he can help it. So I'm taking that as you wanting her to be wounded?

I have my response in mind, so expect a reply here before Spirits. I was thinking that Kurama was going to attempt to capture one and get it to talk, but it detonates similar to how Karasu manifested things and made them explode remotely. Obviously Karasu is dead, but just the fact an imp can explode without Kurama even being able to sense who detonated the blast speaks volumes for who they're dealing with.

Was going to let Botan's Spirit Gun stun one of the imps that melded away. Did you want her to fail and have Kurama take a scratch as a result? He's going to be between her and those imps at all times.
