Ah, and now we're at a point where we're conflicted on what comes next.

The altercation happens when Goshikuro is fully recovered. Kurama's rage only speeds it up, that does not mean that it is complete. It is complete when we need it to be. The fight between them is meant to be on a scale as large as Yusuke fighting Elder Toguro, so it's definitely a 'final boss' thing. Kurama still has to make certain that the demons within his school aren't still manipulating people into suicide.

It's a risky choice, but if he cannot find an alternative then he'll have to use that power to disintegrate whatever hold her possessor had on her. It'll be a brief transformation, nothing super dramatic. There are things in that form he cannot accomplish in his base form, and were it not for a couple perverts he wouldn't have found Botan in time to save her life.

We can do two henchmen. Kurama does not want to act unless he can corner the demon in question, because they could just leave the body that Kurama beats. So they'd need to find some way to entrap them. They put Botan in danger. Shiori isn't safe either. So yeah, they may need Genkai's aid to help secure his household and the school for the time being, at least until those two demons are dealt with.
You can wind it down from here. There's very little he can do now except go home and talk to Bolin in the morning, since the poor guy's probably crying himself to sleep :C by poor guy, I mean Bolin.
HAHAAAHAHAHAHAHA IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE IT'S NOT TRUE HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA... >:C

Hinata and Sasuke becoming antagonists, lmfao, boy that would be a shocking turn of events. I won't shy away from these two forming a connection while ShikaSaku and NaruIno are going to occur, but making Hinata a villain would take some freaking work.

Much, much later, yes. I think before a timeskip large enough to bring Naruto back to the village--and trust me, he'll actually LEARN shit from Jiraiya than bigger rasengans and basic tactics-- Shikamaru and Sakura have got to reach a really good point themselves.

I don't think so. Shikamaru took his lighter and trench knives, but in my headcanon, after he avenged Asuma by stopping his killer, he passed them on to Konohamaru, his nephew. Kid is the only Sarutobi left now, besides the child Asuma left behind with Kurenai.

I don't think he's interested in a dramatic smut series but I think it might cross his mind.
Goshikuro feeds off of negative energy, but at this point neither Kurama, nor Yoko, fully realizes that these demons are just the subordinates of another, more powerful entity they faced in the past. So by knowing that Botan was attacked and placed in danger, Kurama is unknowingly exuding a dangerous amount of anger that would in turn strengthen Goshikuro. I think sadness contributes a lot to his recovery, but the rage of someone like Kurama is double that, so that was why Botan was moved on. I don't know the true level of how it will work, but let's say Kurama being angered for even a moment is enough to put Goshikuro's recovery a week ahead, etc etc. It's a work in progress.

I'm thinking Kurama enters his Yoko form and overwhelms the invisible hold of demon energy within Botan--after resuscitating her, of course-- but that does leave the demon that put her at risk in the first place. I think that's a plan they decide on once he makes sure Botan is freed and safe. The demon will have exposed themselves to Kurama, but it could also probably change bodies, and I think only in Yoko form Kurama is sensitive enough to demon energy to sniff them out. Thoughts?

That is the face I would make if someone sat there and told me they hated Hermione and loved Ginny. Why do we glorify someone who was just a fangirl? Naruto did the same fucking thing... ugh...

It's also a shame she didn't become a stronger person on her own and continued clinging after the same guy, but maybe Sasuke's independence could help her finally let that guy go. Ah well.

Naruto's got the baggage for sure. Maybe Ino has some insecurities deep down that she's never shown before. Through the wonders of roleplaying, anything is possible~

Asuma bagged the hottest Jonin in the village. Dude must have MAD tips. Watch it be like, "Be yourself." xDDD

We never settled on how the possession worked, only that it was strongly invisible to people with respectable amounts of power like Kurama, so it wouldn't be any sort of stretch to say that Kurama's energy and Shiori's plea helped Botan break out momentarily. Though, the part where she breaks out after drowning herself, what exactly is it that allows Botan and Kurama to finally give her back control? It can't be too flashy, because Kurama running down those halls to the pool is going to attract attention, and eventually people will find them. Did Yoko use some of his demon energy to overwhelm the possessor, so Kurama transformed and tested that theory?

I was actually going to search, but only after my next turn. I wasn't sure if it was a boy or girl that was behind the possession, so I held back.
I don't get that. I respect their enjoyment of the ships, but... Ron is an unappreciative cockwaffle and Hermione is an underappreciated genius nearly unrivaled in intelligence and hard work. Meanwhile, Harry is, well, Harry, and Ginny is... freaking BORING. Did Ginny have anything in common with Harry?

Sasuke and Hinata have never crossed paths directly, though they did know of each other. The only point without making it AU where they could connect is after the War that occurred in Shippuden, and that would take you reading up on how that shitshow ended and I don't want to put you through that. For my sake, we can IMPLY it, by Hinata being gone a lot more under the ruse of 'training', and for some reason or another Sasuke is helping her because maybe he sees a little of his younger, naive self in her. SasuHina is one of the more slower romances out there. I wouldn't worry about it for now.

The ending DOES suck. I won't get into it again, but Kishimoto dropped the ball big time and a significant amount of people think the man can eat a dick now. I'm on that train. NaruIno are much more alive and bouncy compared to Shikamaru and Sakura, who would be of the calmer, more relaxing variety.

Hmm, speaking of Ino confronting them, what time do you want those two to get off of training? I was thinking maybe a little before mid afternoon, around 3 or 4 pm? I wanted to know how long Shikamaru immersed himself in books before he headed home and Sakura can be the one to catch HIM just entering the Nara compound this time.
Honestly, as I wrote that, I thought to myself, "Wow I bet this is going to make Gen feel even worse about it." What Shiori said in my post was so simple, but I felt like you would feel the pain of what Botan said to her, as I did.

The following sentence, "We could use some fluff after she tries to drown herself," is hilarious to me. xDDD You don't have to have her relapse here but I'm also not against it. It may be more of an emotional thing if she does it after her little scare, which prompts Shiori to embrace Botan and cry, because she felt so powerless to help Botan. And here she finds out she was drowning herself. Tears, tears all over Botan.

You can lead us to the end of the day if you'd like and I can continue us off in the next one. Gonna make the possessed student a girl, probably.
Thank you. I don't know what got into me, but it felt incredible.

It's nice, isn't it? And he's just stoked she held his hand now, even if it was just to confirm the flames weren't in his head. He just wants to spin her around and make her smile again, damn it >:c
I mean we say one-shot but we get attached and can't let it go lmfao. It's been too long and I'm not as immersed in the HP world as I was as a teen. I don't think I'd do Harry justice for you, but, like Shikamaru, I'd do my best for you ^_^~

Okay, whew, I'm trying to get into the exact amount of carelessness while still caring enough to have our plot move. It would suck if Sakura's efforts alone were driving us anywhere, and I think you've mentioned once before that someone had Shikamaru do very little in a past ShikaSaku project. Oooh, you'd do SasuHina for me? Aww~~ It would be hard, admittedly, since none of the areas you know Shippuden help leave room for Sasuke and Hinata to build a meaningful relationship. I think NaruIno would be easier and more relatable for the both of us, so I don't mind having that happen should we get farther.

I like your plan. Let's go with it!

And great post as expected. I'll have Shikamaru hit up the bookstore before going home, try to find some published advice for it, since I think he's too embarrassed to go to his dad about women at the moment. Maybe later though? Who knows~ Ino can catch Sakura quickly telling Shikamaru she volunteers and they can get right into the acting.
