Name: Big Game

Identity: Domonic Arvii

City of Operation: What city your character is based out of- this should match up with your nemesis: Cleveland, Ohio.

Appearance: 

Domonic is the archetypal Russian stereotype. Tall, built, with buzzcut hair and a thick goatee joined with an equally thick, black mustache, and a granite scowl. His green eyes are rather like Daniel Webster's, often shadowed by his forehead and unforgiving eyebrows but still glistening out from underneath them.

Age: 46

Gender: Male

Superpowers: Although his superiors in the militiary tried their best, he doesn't have any obvious powers... However, whatever they did to him all those years ago did become a somewhat super power three years ago. While his skin may have aged, his physicality hasn't degraded in the least since he was 18 (and shows no signs of ever slowing) and he has developed a highly regenerative body. No, he isn't going to be regrowing limbs or any of that bulsch, but he is difficult to kill, and can make quick and full recoveries from injuries that would have been deadly or permanently debilitating to any normal person. Again, he isn't going to patch up in the middle of a battle. I'm thinking more the kind of regeneration that would have conceivably allowed the Joker to be skewered in the belly by a bunch of rebars during Issue 1, then come back perfectly fine and ready to play presumably weeks later without too much medical attention. His superpower is stalwart tenacity and the stubborn refusal to bleed out. Of course, there's definitely a cost to being able to survive things like this. When your body thinks it can't die, it stops knocking you unconscious for the painful parts. And when your body heals so unnaturally quickly, healing can be just as painful as getting the wound in the first place. There are days when he gets up and sits down like an old man despite having a teenage bodybuilder's physique, and he is an avid consumer of Tylenol and Aspirin.

Skills/ Talents: Arvii was trained to kill and maim with his bare hands. He was hardened through painful hard-body processes and taught to defend against all manner of forms and weapons, and also trained to turn pencils, laptops, furniture, kitchen appliances, and silverware into deadly weapons. Then there was the part where he was trained to use guns. Though a crack shot at the range and positively lethal in an alleyway, where he really shines is in the garage. Domonic is a master of the technical, taught to Macguyver traps and bombs together with a toolbox, a gun, and some chemicals when he can get his hands on them, he is the master of jury-rigging instruments of destruction, and becomes almost exponentially more deadly the more resources he has. He's also Bi-lingual, of course.

Equipment: He usually brings his big survival knife with him, hidden on his person, (usually one of his boots) wherever he goes, wearing a trench coat, A-shirt and cargo pants. His clothing is, of course, all in fashionable urban camoflage slash-resistant material, and padded to resist heavy blows and light gunfire. Except his shirt, of course. Who's ever heard of an armored bro-tank!? His identity is concealed with goggles and a gas mask that covers his mouth and nose. The real deadly parts of his arsenal are his two ballistic knives, his bear traps, his scoped hunting rifle, and homebrew tear gas cannisters. He only carries deadly explosives if he has a specific use or strategy in mind for them. After all, the last thing you want is to be carrying explodey bits on your person when your enemy has a plan for them and you don't. Stand-up Guy has probably pulled that kind of Batman Gambit on him before when he was less experienced...

Weaknesses: Arvii is a man almost constantly in physical or emotional pain. While he has learned to push through it, a sharp, heavy blow (physical or verbal) that forces him to pay attention to it will either send him into a frenzied rage or otherwise rob him of concentration. This can be particularly dangerous if he happens to be building something at the time... He's also very paranoid, due to his history, and if something tips him off, he can become increasingly difficult to work with until he cools down again. When he has any use for henchmen, the ones that can't walk on eggshells don't stay employed for long. He may think it's made him vigilant, but he often makes mistakes in this state, which have been his downfall at least 3 times. And if the heroes have any insiders in the local Bratva, it's likely they consider him a traitor and an enemy. On the other side of the pond, it's likely they consider him to be up past his scalp in debt. Either way, he has enemies there.

There's also the fact that he is deathly afraid of being discovered as Domonic Arvii, and will protect his secret at any cost.

Psyche: Arvii is stingy, paranoid, and prickly. He hordes money obsessively for his own ends and strives for perfection in every detail of his work. This perfection is not achievable of course, but what he ends up with is usually enough to keep a decent crime success rate up until that meddling detective comes along.

History: Big Game's secret identity has a secret identity. To anyone who can get him to say it, he would have you know his real name is Ibor Sichev, the rich, eccentric, reclusive Russian-American mob lieutenant who fell overboard on a cruise ship one day and woke up on the shores of New York with no money and a thirst to pursue his old aristocratic hobbies. So he traversed across the states and robbed banks (or any business with cash involved) and hunted the most dangerous prey of all: Man! Finally, he ended up in the cityscapes of Ohio, where he met the trophy that got away. He's been hunting Stand-Up Guy ever since.

While he may play the part of the lunatic fairly well, Ibor's story is more complex than that. He's never had an "aristocratic hobby" in his life. The dusty medieval vintage he drinks from was bought for $2 at a gas station and stored in a warehouse until it was cobwebby enough to look authentic, and his knowledge of Tolstoy and Shakespeare comes from numerous free PDFs he got from a library. In fact, the real Ibor was strangled to death by a man who stole his identity and went deep inland to avoid any pursuers from overseas. Ibor's story may beat the box and give him cushier prison terms in the Asylum for the Criminally Insane, but anyone who can trace all the actions of his Swiss bank account down to a T, and perhaps took a trip overseas, they would perhaps learn the true story of a Russian man named Domonic Arvii, who was on the receiving end of a few bad deals by the Mafiya, drowning in ill-gotten debt, and who joined the military as soon as he could to provide money for his family.

He had joined the naval infantry under a particularly sketchy and probably insane general in 1988, who sent him to Afganistan full of experimental adrenaline serums, Frog DNA, and the like. Luckily, these super-soldier projects didn't seem to do anything to him... But the war did. He was shipped home in 1989 and was unable to find work. Unable to pay off his perceived debt, he found his sister beaten in an alleyway: a warning. Forced to work for the Mob doing questionable things for large sums of money, he one day caught a break, stowed away on the cruise ship one of their associates decided to visit on, and became the new Ibor. (Who he bore a moderate resemblance to.) He's been shipping money anonymously back to the home country ever since, hoping to keep his family safe, and maybe, one day, bring them to America and take them away from those horrible circumstances.

Figured a struggling working figure posing as an aristocratic type would make an interesting and deeply conflicting ideological antithesis for a hero like Mr. Guy... Also, it sounded badass in my head. Certainly better than a chair-themed villainess.
