Game of Life [Apocalyptic, Fungus zombie, RP]

Welcome to the Game of Life.

Five years ago, a terrorist organization calling itself “Chimera” unleashed a weaponized fungus engineered from [Ophiocordyceps unilateralis](http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ophiocordyceps_unilateralis]Ophiocordyceps unilateralis) .What started as a containable infection rapidly adapted and evolved into a lethal organism stopped only by fire or cold. What cities are left are run akin to military dictatorships… but it’s better than being outside the community walls.

Rules

1- All RPG rules apply. That being said, this RPG will be rated T to M for violence, gore, language, and the like. 2- Please be respectful to all of your fellow RP members. If two RPers start arguing, I will have to ask them to take it to PM. 3- No godmodding. This includes controlling/injuring/killing another player’s character without explicit permission, killing two hundred zombies with your thumb, or surviving a fall from 3+ stories. In a nutshell, keep it as realistic as possible. 4- All profiles must be approved by me before posting. 5- I have a final say in major game changing plot decisions. No arguing 6- In this RP we will abide by a three-strike rule. If rules are broken, there will be consistent punishments: 1- Warning to player via PM and thread; 2- Injury of one or more characters, and a one-week ban from the RP; 3- All characters killed in the most gruesome manner possible, and perma-ban from the RP. 7- Do not let your load excepd your carrying weight unless your want to become fungus food. 8- Have fun!

The Infection:

Fungus spores are spread through the air, as well as through bites. Once the fungus has entered the host’s system, it rapidly multiplies until it takes control of the host’s nervous system. Fungal growths begin appearing on the body in a matter of hours, notably around the chest, spine, neck, and head; one can tell long a victim has been infected by the amount and size of growths on its body. Once the fungus has taken control of a host, the victim is used to spread spores further, actively seeking new hosts. Spores are regularly emitted as the body moves, and even when the body can no longer function, the fungus feeds off of it, creating more spores until there aren’t even bones left. The easiest way to avoid infection is by wearing a mask. Gas masks and medical masks work best. Spores can only survive on a object for 10-12 hours though not much research has been done on the subject.

Basic map of town

the main road into the town; West Walbrok, leads out into a long stretch of highway that used to conect the town with other places. You would pass a gas station a few miles back and see what seems to be the remenites of a wall or what seemed to be the start of one. Passing into town their is a old degraded sign on your right saying 'Welcome to Brokvile' In big letters. From hear you will see to your sides broken down shops with boards over the windows. the sidewalks covered in new plant life and decaying corpses. From hear you will find a large apartment complex with outside doors on the right and the entrance to the forest path across from it. Take a left on the cross road and you will find yourself going down more boarded up shops and offices, & few houses hear and there. Take a right and find yourself in a housing district. Each of the houses are boarded up with broken windows and plant life everywhere. at the end of this road their is a semi short road with the elementary school, middle school, and highschool on one long street. Around them are over grown sport fields and a murky swimming pool know used as a artificial lake for animals. Keep going straight off the cross road, you find your self the police station on your left and a firestation on your right. This road contuines down into over grown fields where passive heards of animals make a living of the mutated plants that spread over the area. Down the road some more is the abandoned hospital and research lab. A lot of the infected swarm the hospital so it is wise to avoid it.

Everyone knew that a new civilization was going to start soon. They didn't know that civilization was on their own brinks.
