I'm not worrying about Tiers, whatever those are.
I'm worrying about potential future enemies.
The chances are much lower if you decide to burn the connections to your past life and scatter them to the wind.
Heck, Dead Rev was a temporary name that no longer exists, the plan kills me like any other person, and all my current connections only know of the entity called Flicker, with my past ones only knowing my dead names.

If this were at the scale of what I consider normal, yea.
But the last thing I want is to have one tiny connection that someone finds and uses against me by dragging them into it.
After all, I'm at a point where they wouldn't be able to deal with what I previously knew and I'm unlikely to be capable of dealing with what I now know.

They don't deserve it, but I'd rather they think I'm dead so that they have a smaller chance of getting caught up in my problems when they should be living their lives as peacefully as reality will allow them to.
I have no plans to go back and visit them.

It's a bit pointless for me to try and turn around now.
After all, the plan was made to continue on regardless of if it was a false alarm. I may not be in a situation where the call was necessary yet, but I am at a point where that might happen at any time onwords.
Either way, I'd rather put them through it once and be done.
