She was the spirit of a ferret, apparently. But I believe that was more intentional on Miyazaki's behalf to make the attachment between Chihiro and Lin more pronounced, and to make Lin stand out a bit more. The same way they give the protagonist of an anime green hair whilst everyone else has brown or black, you know?
Well, curiously enough, the term "Yuna" doesn't only mean "Bathhouse workers" anymore...due to questionable activities in Japanese bathhouses, Yuna also means "bathhouse prostitutes" (But I'm sure as hell not going to even let that get NEAR The Third Bathhouse) so perhaps they were women to fit that sort of 'greed' theme they have going around?

And I dunno about you, but they look a fair bit unshapely to me...

Aye, Ma'am! It shouldn't be a problem \oIt appears Blake is the only boy at the moment too xD

You know the best part?

Since they're a bunch of smelly humans, all the children have to sleep with the Yuna (the women workers) so Blake is going to feel outnumbered!

Worst part is that Yuna are primarily slug spirits. How tasteful!

Time for a CS! If anything needs tweaking that'll happen tomorrow... since its 5AM here. Heh

Never stay up late at night to complete a CS! Your sleep is more important than this RP, in order to keep a healthy lifestyle!

Otherwise, accepted; I wondered which one you were going to choose, and I look forward to interactions between Mai and Mato. Mai's got a very protective streak, see, especially for people with a disadvantage. On top of that, whilst the other children will be forgetting their names slowly...Mato's notepad might have "Mae Toussaint" written on the cover...*/plot!*

2 more spots (3 extra slots) left!

Once all of the spots are filled, I'll start on the IC. Thanks for waiting, people!

Ahhh I've come back sdufbsdfQuestion, is the image required for the initial CS or can I throw one in later? Honestly Internet-fished images for RPs are one of my pet peeves and I'd prefer sketching something to running around on pixiv or something, but I don't know how fast I can whip something up before all the slots are taken.EDIT: Ah, sorry, another question: Does the new name HAVE to sound anything like the real name? Sen and Chihiro sound pretty different.

1) Images are not required to be accepted, so long as you do eventually acquire an image. (I drew that crappy one of Mai which honestly looked better as a sketch, because I suck at lineart xD)

2) Blake and Makoto sound different. The only guideline is that you use letters/syllables from your actual name,so that the Third Witch can do a Yubaba and pull away the rest of your name and steal it when you sign the contract.

I look forward to your CS! Remember, any more questions, just ask. \o/
ACCEPTED CHARACTERS
ReaptheMusic: Moka (Morgan Kipple)

NAME: Morgan Kipple
NEW NAME: Moka
NATIONALITY: German
GENDER: Female
AGE: 12
APPEARANCE: Dyed dark pink hair, bright green eyes, and fair skin. Morgan often wears a thick coat over her private school uniform to keep out the cold. Not one to go with the crowd and favoring japanese fashions, she likes to wear brightly colored knee socks, wearing headphones around her neck, and carries a stylish if impractical bookbag. She has a small birth mark on her chest not really in the shape of anything, and tends to cover up the blemish, finding it embarrassing.

PERSONALITY: Morgan is an optimistic and joyful girl. She has a big heart and likes to give to others frequently, if not to cover up a sense of loneliness that has increased with age. She has little respect for authority and would rather take a walk through the town than to visit the principals office for misconduct, and has on many occasions done so. She has begun to resent her parents, silently crying out for attention by doing things such as dying her hair or stealing her dads money to buy a book bag. Among friends however, she is often the loud one that dares to venture into the wilds in search of seven mysteries or to find some sort of monster. In three words, Morgan is sweet, brash, and lonely.

HISTORY: For as long as she can remember, Morgan has lived with her parents in a large mansion which rests in a fancy neighborhood full of perfectly cut grass and white picket fences. With her father a successful CEO and her Mother a bridal consultant, Morgan for the most part is left to her own devices under the watchful eyes of servants. Some of whom she has taken the time to befriend and treat as family. With their wealth, its no surprise that Morgan was put into a private school beside children of her own class.
But rather than become spoiled and reveling in her wealth, Morgan found herself watching the public school children walk past her school every day, see how carefreely they acted... and decided she had to join them. Private school was no home for her, and lessons about where to set the fork were a bore. It wasn't long after a meek introduction to a group of public school children that she became included. They introduced her to the the most popular bands at the time, the coolest fashions [or so the guy who always talked about something called 'Anime' told her], and themselves as the best friends shes ever had.
Such best friends in fact, that her father, fearing they were merely a bad influence, sentenced her to a life without them. Defying them, she began to steal money to take the bus to see them [as the servants would no longer drive her], and to buy the things she wanted to wear. She remains bitter towards her father but he has yet to find she has been stealing from him.
Hovelmeier: Makoto (Blake Hawthorne)

Name: Blake Hawthorne
New Name: Makoto
Nationality: English
Gender: Male
Age: 13

Appearance:

Blake Hawthorne's long, dark brown hair reaches down towards his shoulders, barely contained inside his bright red hat due to its wild nature. Blake's eyes are of the colour blue, much like his jacket, and are spaced equally apart from each other, with a small pointy nose separating them. If it weren't for his mischievous smile, which displays three missing teeth, this boy would appear to be completely innocent.

Personality:

Blake is a shy young boy who often hides from others. However, once Blake warms up to someone, they become as thick as thieves, and will be much more open in their presence having grown used to their company. Although, his shyness has never stopped him from being rather mischievous, often getting himself into troubling situations which result in severe punishment from his father and mother. Yet as many times as they punish him, the message never seems to sink in. It's pretty much like beating a dead horse according to his beloved parents. Otherwise, Blake is considered adventurous by his peers and loves exploring. Especially the forests near his home despite the fact he has gotten lost on several occasions in the dense heavily forested area near his home. It's what one gets with a poor sense of direction apparently.

Background:

Blake Hawthorne is the only son of Nathaniel and Elizabeth Hawthorne who lived out in the relative safety of the country. While Nathaniel worked in the city, Elizabeth stayed at home and tutored her son, having decided home schooling was the best option for him. It’s because of this initial isolation from everyone his age that he is a shy boy, often retreating back into his “shell” upon meeting new people his age. Nathaniel managed to partially fix this problem by introducing him to his friend’s daughter. While it was hard for him, in time he grew comfortable around her and they became best friends with each other, often exploring the beautiful and mysterious forests near their home, and occasionally, if not frequently, getting lost within them. Blake also started developing a mischievous mindset once he started getting older, despite his apparent shyness. It got so bad that his parents had to ground him for it, sometimes for weeks and weeks upon end. Although he did sometimes sneak out at the dead of night to spend time with his best friend, being rather rebellious against grounding itself.
Noel: Mato (Mae Toussaint)

NAME: Mae Toussaint
NEW NAME: Mato
NATIONALITY: French
GENDER: Female
AGE: 14
APPEARANCE: Mae is a girl with short cut brown hair which usually appears a bit messy with no particular style, rather simply being left to fall naturally after a morning shower. Her eyes are a greenish blue color, her face often showing something of a neutral-grumpy expression. Her skin is a bit rough around the hands, elbows and knees and ever so slightly tanned. On her left leg is a decently visible scar stretching from a bit below her knee to just above her ankle earned from a nasty fall from a tree when she was 11. The girls favored clothing are loose fitting comfortable pieces such as hoodies and track jackets. She always wears pants regardless of the weather. She always carries a messenger bag hung across her shoulder containing a note pad and pens.

PERSONALITY: Mae is a fairly tomboyish girl with a rather aggressive streak to her who can easily be described as touchy and stubborn. She is one who is easily annoyed or frustrated leading to a commonly grumpy demeanor. While she is not purposely mean her fussy nature combined with an aggressive streak has often lead her to fights and arguments with others. Her lack of a voice only serves to exacerbate this by making her actions much more pronounced to compensate.

These issues have also made it difficult for her to get close to others her age, finding boys to often be irritating while at the same time being too boyish herself to get along well with other girls. Though she is not particularly shy she is not especially outgoing either. However despite general attitude the girl is noticeably more relaxed, even rather playful when around she feels comfortable with and is more forgiving of things which would ordinarily irritate her.

HISTORY: Mae is a city girl and only child born and raised in France by her single mother. With a below average family income much of her life has been spent between the family's small apartment and your average neighborhood schools. However one thing would ultimately serve to throw a wrench into the entirely average life. Due to a series of physical defects relating to her vocal cords and throat Mae was born mute without the ability to ever speak. This naturally would serve to cause various difficulties and hardships the growing girl would need to learn to deal with.

Despite learning sign language she would be resorted to carrying note pads and pens with her at all times as her primary form of communication, often making it a challenge to converse with other students and her teachers. In her school life her condition would lead her to be placed in special education classes where communication would be easier but outside such environments she would continue to have difficulties. Lacking a voice of her own the girl would become an easy target for bullying and teasing by other students. Responding to the various stresses she dealt with it would not take long for her to develop the somewhat aggressive nature she currently holds.

Throughout her brief years Mae has been something of a troublesome child. Being almost entirely unable to use words to solve her problems she would commonly take the physical approach to deal with the childish teasing and bullying, often ending herself in school yard scraps. While these scuffles were fairly frequently none of them had amounted to any sort of serious fights, with both parties receiving little more than a few bumps and bruises.

With both her peers and herself becoming a bit older these fights have started to become a bit less frequent within the last year or so. Mae has started to keep to herself a bit more since her 13th birthday in effort to try and avoid the annoying little scraps.
Nuttyjigs: Tomo (Tori Skye)

NAME: Tori Skye
NEW NAME: Tomo
NATIONALITY: Canadian
GENDER: Female
AGE: 11
APPEARANCE:
A little bit tall for her age, Tori is a child seemingly bursting with energy, with middle build and ruddy cheeks. She has short light brown hair pinned down by colorful assorted clips in a seemingly arbitiary fashion, hardly stopping the thin strands from getting in her face anyway. Most notable on her round face are her large green eyes and her wide, bright grin. She dresses for comfort, and as long as the color pleases her, she'll wear it. Oftentimes, a band-aid on her elbows, knees, or face can be seen from her various adventurous pursuits. Her manner itself is quite explosive, and she comes off as someone who is hasty and clumsy but otherwise loveable.

PERSONALITY:
Bright and cheerful, Tori is the type of child who seems to spread happiness just with her presence. She is bubbly and optimistic, if not loud and boisterous, and her seemingly limitless energy and curiosity tends to send her into troublesome situations, although she means well. She tries hard to be honest, though sometimes it comes off as tactless instead, in which case she's willing to put down her pride and apologize. Despite her bursting actions, Tori is not particularly careless aside from the most common trip-up from running too fast.

When it comes to negative traits, Tori is reckless, impatient, and possibly short-tempered, especially when bored. She always wants to be doing something; nothing irritates her more than being idle, and being idle irritates her a lot. Being the type of girl who always rushes around, Tori tends to be a little bit harsher towards slow people or people who lag around. She doesn't mean to snap, but when she does, it's usually because something can't be done quickly enough for her tastes.

Despite her flaws, Tori is still generally pleasant to be around, especially because of her sunny aura that tends to dispel negativity all of its own accord.

HISTORY:
Tori was born into an ordinary middle-class Canadian family of three, having two brothers, one older and one younger. Her parents are ordinary people of the working class, the type of people who work in offices; specifically, they are accountants, having met in college. Their family is the close-knit type, going out on Sundays for family outings, having meals together, and the like.

Growing up, Tori had always been the most energetic one, more energetic than her brothers, much to her relatives' amusement. Although she tends to crash into trouble often, her family and friends are happy to have her around, as she serves as their little light, cheering them up whenever they happen to feel down. As for her, she respects her parents, idolizes her older brother (who is going to graduate high school in a year), and tries her best to be a good sister to their youngest and a friend to her classmates. The only fights she gets into are probably due to her throwing fits out of boredom, which her parents and older brother try to remedy by keeping her busy with summer activities and the like.

All in all, Tori has had an ordinary childhood in a good, loving family environment.
Jessikka: Ame (Daniel Amera)

NAME: Daniel Amera

NEW NAME: Ame (Ah-May)

NATIONALITY: English

GENDER:

AGE: 14 years old.

APPEARANCE: Ame has medium-length choppy white hair and sea-green/blue eyes (a vibrant cyan colour I guess?). He's slim and tall and not very muscular due to lack of hard work. He likes to wear vests or low-cut tops with a jacket and always carries his headphones and Iphone for music. (Perhaps his name could be lost in a list of contacts) He has a mischievous grin and an imp-like way of holding himself that makes people not trust him to do the right things, contrary to his personality.

PERSONALITY: Ame is a mischievous boy who will be the one who wants to "Check out the old abandoned house" or "Cross the old withering bridge!" just to get some kicks. He's upbeat and jokey and likes to keep a bright and light-hearted attitude either around himself or as a general feel with everyone. Despite this, being the eldest boy he will act brotherly towards those less able than he. He'll sympathise with the younger children and has given himself the idea to attempt to protect everyone.

HISTORY: Ame can only really remember moving house constantly. The first place he re-called living in was an apartment. He'd lived there until he was four then moved. Next he lived in a terraced house with limited space. Being so close to the neighbours means he made friends with a girl next-door to him, he'd climb over the fence to play with her in her back garden and they'd play hide and seek and loud boisterous games.

Shortly after they'd become really close he ended up moving. A semi-detached house when he was seven, a new, fancy private school and no friends. He listened to music and made friends with the twins that lived next to him. Similar to the girl-next-door he'd climb through a hole in the fence and played on their play instruments and they even walked to school together! The twins became his closest friend and his guide to school life and general life. As soon as he reached ten years old they were allowed to play outside the gardens and he remembers on hot summer days they'd go down to the shop and buy ice-creams with their two pound pocket money. Around eleven he became aware of what he wore and decided to make himself look presentable, though not going through as much trouble as girls may. On his eleventh birthday the twins introduced him to bands he was interested in now and on his fourteenth birthday they gave him a pair of copper and black headphones with his name on one side and the twins names on the other side, in scripted in gold.

Done, I hope ^.^ If there is anything wrong and in need of editing, let me know! Otherwise I think this is record breaking time for me in completing a character sheet! Now I demand cake.

Hmn....Accepted, but make sure to keep to the writing limit, which is at least 3 decently-sized paragraphs per post. But I know that you'll have very little difficulty keeping to that limit (and perhaps exceeding it) since I've seen your RP before.

Liriia said
Ya now what, screw it. I'm in five roleplays already but this looks like fun anyway. I'll have a CS finished today or tomorrow uwu

I'm glad you've come to join us! Worry not, I want to make sure we've got enough people before we start so that may take a while. So long a you finish your CS, you'll have a bit more time on the other roleplays too and if I accept it then I will give you a PM to say when the IC is up. (The same applies to other accepted members, by the way!)

Whilst things are a bit slow to start, worry not; I'd prefer we had quality over quantity in this case, since it's such a careful subject to RP as. Some people, I'm aware, can take offence if children are doing certain things, so I have to be wary of who I accept, which is why it's taking a while.

3 more spots (and 3 extra slots) left!

(I'll be adding the Accepted into the OOC and updating the rules to add the writing limit so that everyone can see it. If anyone has anything else they want to add to the OOC, do tell me whenever you can.)
From upstairs, the sound of cloth being flapped in the air shortly followed Dianna and Seranie's exit from the upstairs, along with the click an thud of a window being opened. Diligently, Igfrid had gotten to work on cleaning up for those who left the rooms in such a state - but only, it seemed, to the point of trying to get the smell out. Most people would assume it's just Igfrid being Igfrid - she's always gone that extra two steps to help around the Odd Jobs, mainly in cleaning - but the real reason behind it was the abominable headache she was getting from the fumes. The buzz of her recent trip into the wonders of lycanthropy left her still hearing J'zhid's voice downstairs as clear as day, being able to smell and be slightly repulsed by both stray cats downstairs, and still really fancying raw meat.

Of course, Igfrid would never speak this aloud. It was more likely the folk she's come to call 'alright' who resided in this building would have her sliced up by a silver blade instead of accepting what she was. Not that Igfrid minded, of course. This was her burden.

She gathered her damp hair behind her head into a ponytail, but only on the top - the rest of her hair tumbled beneath it. After a while, she returned into the main room downstairs wearing once more a woolen shirt that was clearly far too big for her, and some warm furry trousers along with small leather shoes made for sneaking. But Igfrid was no sneak, and she always used them as slippers and for wandering around Whiterun, usually between the small Odd Jobs building and Jorrvaskr. "Evenin' kitties", she called out cheerily as she passed J'zhid and the stray cat. She simply nodded to Seranie because Igfrid knew that Seranie was too high to acknowledge her existence, or laugh at any witty comments she might try to put out. In a softer and more polite tone, she also said "Good Evening" to Dianna, since she didn't want to startle her or make her feel forced into conversation. Igfrid's seen the quiet ones, and she understands their boundaries quite well.

Of course, Igfrid was barely settled in the room before she left again! After idly checking over a few of the creates in the main room she just headed out of the door, shutting it quietly behind her. From outside of the window one could see her heading straight for Jorrvaskr again; another habit that's become more apparent ever since her little evening trips to the river. The moment she entered the warm halls of Jorrvaskr, her calm and friendly demeanour melted in the heat as she called out urgently, "Kodlak? Aela?! Anyone still awake; I need a hand!"

She won't be back for a couple of hours.
Recently, there's been a fair bit of noise from White River. Every few evenings or so, farmers report the noise of wolves attacking a woman, or a woman yelling and screaming in agony, but when they move to the source of the noise...there's nothing there. Most have pinned it down to angry spirits of some drowned lady, whose corpse was ravaged by wolves. Farmers tend to do that, see; the commonfolk exaggerate things. The wisened old men with their calloused hands would push back their sweat-soaked greying hair and grunt "There goes th'noise again, get the sheep in Ulred, Jacom grab the horse..." and report it to a guard. The guard would trot off in the direction of the horrific yells, as he usually does, and finds nothing, and has to go back again because that's his job. After a few nights, the guards grew complacent, started rationalizing the issue.

Igfrid shrieked again, raking her nails across her flesh and armour, fumbling with buckles and convulsing with pain. Dark, muddy blonde hair like filthy straw pushes against every pore, her nose pushing outwards, bones cracking and sinew shifting...only to go into reverse again - hair retreating into the skin like a thousand needles, whole skeletal and organ systems clicking into place again, muscles shrinking. Her laboured breathing and heightened hearing parted through the cold night air to hear the chainmail boots clinking as a guard approaches the corner of the river to which she had confined herself to this evening.

A gasp of air forced its way through Igfrid's lungs and she rolled into the river again, her senses dulled, cold shooting through her aching body and soothing the pain somewhat. The cold usually stopped the transformation - no beast likes getting wet. And like every other evening, Igfrid waited until her lungs were fit to burst, her heavy armour pinning her to the silt and the river-weed covering her form like camouflage. Then she'd slowly raise her head out of the water and check for the guard, and yes, there he was down the road over there. Igfrid exhaled loudly, dragging herself onto the bank again and lying there pathetically for a while longer.

Igfrid was no stealthy cat, like a certain person she vaguely recalled. She strolled nonchalantly through the cold night air of Whiterun, through the well-lit street, sopping wet and shivering. "Evenin' Igfrid, that horse again eh?" called out a cheery guard. Igfrid managed to control her chattering teeth enough to give a friendly grin and a wave.

"Aye! Keeps throwing me into the river, see. Better than the ground, though I worry for the currents!" yelled Igfrid back jovially, squelching her way into the Odd Jobs hut. The moment the door shut behind her, Igfrid took off her massive boots and left them by the door, undressing to everything but a baggy and soaking under-shirt and leather britches which squeaked with movement, and were held up by a cord. She noded politely to Aria and made a beeline for the upstairs room where she kept some of her belongings - incredibly small, but Igfrid doesn't complain - and shut the door rather swiftly.

It's curious, though, that ever since the noises started, Igfrid got that new horse and keeps coming back stinking of river water after falling in every time.
Thank you very much!

Also, the factions list needs updated for the newer characters. Mainly in the Odd Jobs. I'll post now!
