haha, I read over the Walkers character sheets and my main thought was 'So much red hair.'Good job though on making them all. Also, added some new pic's to Soren's CS in case anyone was interested.

Don't forget the green eyes! And I like those pictures.
Be sure to take a look at the badassery that are the Walkers, when you've got the chance guys. We've all been reading your character sheets, really fun to take a look at them!

Noble Clockface, be sure to post the accepted sheets onto the OP when you've got the chance, so we can see the hero to villain ratio. Until then, on with the IC! \o/ (and the CS checking. Whichever comes first.)
GMT, and I agree with jangel...it's taking a while for the IC to pop up. Hope everything is okay.
Nice, a Quidditch jock!
Name: Jackalyn Walker ('Affectionately' called "the Jackal" by her siblings.)

Concept: The Sulky Telekinetic

Role: Hero

Age: 17

Sex and Orientation: Heterosexual Female

Appearance:

Personality: Ah, Jackalyn Walker. As sour as a lemon and as blunt as a teaspoon, this charming bundle of sarcasm and scathing remarks keeps a thick, cold exterior to strangers and friends alike that is about as easy to break into as caked-on grease in a Mcdonald's fryer from the '80s. She doesn't get mad, like big brother Brooksy; hers is a simmering loathing, a coldness and hatred that permeates the air around her like a terrible odour. Intimidating, aloof and (worst of all) quiet, Jackalyn is obsessively protective over her family and almost constantly wary of anyone and everyone ever.

However, once (if) you manage to push and claw your way into the heart of a person who is very clearly content with what she's got already, and would rather you stuck your face into a blender than become friends with her, you'll find that Jackalyn isn't as bad as she looks. Her family in particular are honoured with the presence of a caring, gentle Jackalyn. Surprisingly, under all of that hatred is a brain; Jackalyn is very intelligent, and likes to teach her younger siblings and older brother about anything and everything that they have to come up against. She's a girl they can turn to for advice, battle-plans or homework help without being shoved away. When it comes to family, Jackalyn's a big softie over them and believes that they're all she ever needs. Aww!

Background:

Skills: Physical strength is a talent passed on to each an every Walker, Jackalyn included. She's also very good at the housework, and generally intelligent. She's also a telekinetic, but doesn't know how to control it. Due to her staff-like weapon, she's also pretty agile and fast since she's had to dodge her own blade more often than her enemies'.

Equipment: Simple leather armour (dark greys, neutral colours) and a curious weapon - a bit like a staff, with a sword blade on one end and a spearhead on the other, made out of an unknown, tough, and lightweight metal. She also carries a kitchen knife on her person, at all times. Always. Usually in the most unpredictable of locations.

Parent:
-Mom: Florence Walker, short tempered and not afraid to give the children a good harsh punishment, however she's not cruel - she's actually loving and caring. (BIG MOMMA FLO)

-Dad: Phareon Walker, (PAPA PHAR) was actually super-strong and an adrenaline junkie. A massive wall of meat, plate and witty one-liners, Phareon looked after his little ones well but didn't step in when Mommy got mad at us.

Inheritance: Books. She got books from both her parents, her physical weapon from her father (a trophy from some far-off land and now extinct tribe of natives) and, most recently, discovered her telekinetic gift from her mommy.

Notes: Jackalyn is called "The Jackal" because she snaps at people who aren't her family, and also because she's a very fast runner.

Jackalyn's hydrophobic, and can't swim.

Since the RP seems to be headed in a more 'fantasy' 'caves and farms' sort of setting, I've decided to change my character's picture. It's realistic and doesn't look like she's from some 2014 japanese anime setting. So yeah. Might just be my personal preference, but if there's any problem with that, I can change it back. ~

haha, YES. Another red-headed person in the RP.

(Spoiler: The ENTIRE family of heroes we've got as our characters are red-headed with green eyes. because that's what true badassery looks like.)

I'm around, just working slowly. Lots of stuff going on, and I apparently have something happening over the next two weeks. Looks like I chose a terrible time to start this. Gonna look over more of the character sheets tonight though, and hopefully have stuff ready for you guys (while giving some important info to a friend of mine who joined this RP) and I can possibly drop in later?

Never ever start an RP when you're busy - I learnt that the hard way. :< The best way though is to devote maybe an hour or two and just get EVERYTHING done in terms of the RP (accept character sheets, decline some, give them feedback, write the opening IC post in a manner that means the RP isn't dependent on your posts to progress in any way) and then leave it for a bit and work on what you need to do. From personal experience, I tend to find that leaving the RP on the backburner before the IC's arrived means that people lose interest and leave without telling you, making the whole RP flop before it's even started.

But hell, who am I to tell you what to do. It's -a- plan of action but you're an individual and I don't even know what kind of work it is. I just wish you the best of luck and hope you'll be able to pull through the stress.

Clockface said As for the characters knowing each other and starting situations, it's required for the villains to all be together (as a group, I mean. They can physically start in other places) because they're building their dungeon. I can think of a number of scenarios for the villains, possibly some of them are on a mission to recruit some group of 'evil' creatures or trying to acquire more resources for their dungeon or otherwise working on villainous things

That makes sense. I'm assuming this is a very stereotypical fantasy setting, a bit like an RPG-style with castles and kingdoms and ogres and trolls etc etc. for the villains to go and start recruiting into an army of minions, and work on constructing the dungeon deep in the bowels of mount hellfire or whatever. Hopefully I'm right in assuming such a thing.

Clockface said I meant for the groups to be both be together, but I could see multiple groups of heroes working separately, but still aware of each other. One thing to keep in mind is that your parents all knew each other. I'm not sure if I made it totally clear, but they all knew each other at least by reputation and they fought together in this big epic battle, and that sort of brings the separate sides together.

Mhm, that's -one- thing to keep in mind. The parents knew each other. But I see a lot of Character Sheets saying that the only interaction with the parent's friends in terms of backstory is their children hearing about them in stories of their amazing-ness. At most, the heroes might know some of them had kids like them (actually, I think they do know that) but I doubt they met too often, unless they lived close to each other.

Still, we'll find a way around that. We'll bump into each other because we're working for the same goal.

awesome! cant wait to put my character into action!just as a general question where are we all starting from? like are we all in the same area or do we reveal our backstories and say why we ended up in this particular town?

Mhm, Clockface hasn't made it clear where we're starting or how long we've been training for as of late. He also hasn't accepted any Character sheets yet...Generally not a good sign. :< I hope everything's alright.
Yeah, we're all excited over here too. All the sheets are done but I just need to redo an appearance picture and we'll be finished.
Ah, see - I knew I was on the right lines! \o\ Our character sheets are almost done, any idea when the IC will be up?
