Maybe the slave who is at auction? And as we agreed, Estermere isn't too keen on the idea of slavery so...

There are multiple at auction. I guess I could be -a- slave for a noble house but it depends on how said slave is treated...anything too cruel/sexual is -a very solid- no for me to RP as.

Plus, slave character development is limited. So I guess the first thing to ask is, who would take on a female slave (probably not good-looking or particularly young) and what would they do to her?
Haha, it was! I was talking about the wealth class 'wretched', there isn't anyone that low.

Perhaps an escaped slave? would any character here take pity on an escaped slave?
As in the social class wretched. There's nobody down there at the moment.

Perhaps an escaped slave or something similar will suit the conditions?
Is this still open? I want to make a Wretched character, however I don't know whether or not I can use a new race, if it's open enough to use...

PM me for more details, but try to make a valid reason the LEADER OF THE LARGEST REBELLION IN THIS WORLD would want to talk to you. Pretty sure the Ostrich group is ex'd in this sense, but the Airbending masters aren't. This is also to address the different types of rebels.

Prince said Also, Ostrich group, you guys are going to be given a relatively large sum of money and some equipment, so one of you need to PM me as to why. I'm giving you a slightly different task.

Jian probably 'borrowed it' under the premise that she'll give it back when (not if) she wins the rebellion.

On a more serious note, I'll PM you about it now, Prince.
Biscuits said Name: Xiao Xi Kwan

Age: 28

Gender: Male

Nationality: Earthkingdom

Traits:
-Strength. Not only has he gained a substantial amount of muscle much like his other siblings due to hard farm work, but has gone as far out to personally expand it by constant physical training whenever he had the chance.

-Unarmed combat. Learnt after discovering his earthbending skills never seemed to get stronger then allowing him to be only move a pebble, he began leaning towards other forms of fighting. One that didn't rely on bending. Knowing his chances were low in a fight with a bender unless his skills exceeded more then the ordinary he devoted all his training into unarmed combat.

Appearance: Xi is a rather burly looking man, spotting a seemingly well kept contour cut on his head and a scruff of a beard that's he regularly trims and keeps in a clean condition. Clearly very proud of both. He reaches up to about 6.3 feet making him the tallest, even if by a little, of his siblings.

History: Xian being the eldest of the Kwan siblings meant he instantly felt a great amount of responsibility over them. He joyfully welcomed each new individual as they kept popping into the family year after year. The instinct of acting as the role of protector over his younger siblings caused him to began training his all round frame from an early age, causing him to be bulky even in his teen years which he perfected over the years.

As much as Xian seemed to be the loving and caring type around his siblings, he couldn't help but mistreat most strangers. Since his youth he's had a very Fiery temper, having made raising him from childhood very difficult for his parents. He was very soon branded as the nearby villages bully. Picking on all weaker and even just as strong as him. To allow this he always tried keeping his physical strength more advanced then the one of the other kids. Him and his siblings hard working on the farm helping him succeed with this. Constant reports of him being involved in and even being the cause of scruffs and fights in the nearby village by not being able to control his temper put a lot of stress on his parents, mainly his mother who was often in labor. This resulted in often deserved, tough loving, beatings brought down on him by his mother.

The arrival of the earthbending teacher that was instructed to teach him and his siblings bending spiked his curiosity, being able to earthebend surely would make him stronger then the others? Sadly his lack of control over most of his actions, feelings, and mainly temper made it very difficult for him to learn much from the teacher. The only earthebending he learnt from
Shing Mu was only being able to move a simple pebble. Frustrated he gave up on learning bending at that point, refusing to take apart in any more teachings the "Stupid old man" had to offer. Soon however his lack of earthbending began taking notice, watching his younger siblings and even afew kids from the nearby village be able to earthbend envoked jealousy in him, he began getting bested by the kids in the village that could earthbend. He no longer felt powerful and strong both things he wanted to be... -needed- to be.

He lost his cheery, over-energetic, easily excited attitude. There would be no way he'd be able to best any sort of bender if he couldn't bend himself. His change of mood was certainly noticeable. Anytime anyone attempted to speak to him about this matter he'd dismiss it and get angered. However soon he had the self-realization that he couldn't let the fact he was incapable of earthbending infact didn't mean the end. Infact it meant if he were to somehow overpower and overcome someone, it would be much more admirable. So from then on after regaining his old self he devoted all the spare time for training he had into unarmed combat.

Our final member's CS. I'll have him post it himself when he's online again and I'll edit it out of this post, but you'll be able to see the CS beforehand.

In my next post (after Biscuits has made any changes that need to be done to his app and has been accepted AND posted himself) I'll be picking up the sleeping jun, continuing our trek and happening upon the cave system, where TEAM OSTRICH will become hopelessly lost and, sooner-or-later, bump into the Rising.

I fully expect them to be apprehended or something, walking in without recruitment could mean phoenix kingdom spies. We'll find a way out of that, somehow; after all, they all really want to help in the Rising.
So...we have to introduce ourselves to the rising by this evening, Prince? Because with one of my characters on holiday, and one of them still working on the CS, it's hard to pull it off.

Alternatively, I don't mind waiting until the Rising are on the move to bump into them if that's another option. It'll make the difference between the Kwan Family finding the outskirts of Omashu, or some sort of small, oppressed farming village in the vastness of the Earth Kingdom.
If we could have a post about what happened to the tournament, I would get on this RP like THAT.

*shifting uncomfortably in seat*

Also,l how's Pachid looking? Perhaps a collab is in order?

The Kwan Family
Location: Middle of Nowhere in the Earth Kingdom
Open? No

The hot white disk of a sun bore down upon the dry and dusty plains of the Earth Kingdom. Whilst too hot to be actively supporting much wildlife, the sands of the desert have not encroached upon this endless stretch of flat, hard dirt, leaving the surface with deep wrinkles and cracks with the odd shrivelled plant desperately poking from the red earth - an echo from the rainy seasons. A thin pale beaten path split the red landscape in two, and it was this self-same path that a group of people would be traversing across at that very moment in time.

Admittedly, the Kwan Family didn't -really- mull over the lack of water and money as they left their home around a week ago and thus supplies were starting to encroach dangerously low levels. With about half a water barrel left for all three of them -and- the Ostrich Horse which was plodding along with them, supplies were reaching a dangerously low level and there hasn't been a signpost in ages.

"It's a straight path," Jian would repeat monotonously, in time with the beat of her sandals on the hard dirt. "We're going to find a town sooner or later."

Should anyone at this point believe that Jian was being surprisingly level-headed, they would be sorely mistaken. Jian was not someone to throw a temper tantrum, but she can writhe in her own sour temper for weeks on end - and has been doing so for the past 7 days in a row. She was one of those 'quietly mad' people - her footfalls were stomps, her body swayed with the thumping of her heart and she would've ground her teeth into indistinguishable stumps if she wasn't too tired to do so in the first place.

However, Jian was resolute. She knew they'd find a town sooner or later because it was impossible for them to -not- find a town on this road. She gazed down at the dusty path ahead of them and saw the clues. Cart tracks. Footprints. Some travelling party has been across this road and recently, and they were bigger than our team, much bigger...but only one cart. And the tracks aren't too heavy either. All signs, to her, pointed towards a lightly-packed team of people headed across this road and she'll either find a town, or a bunch of dehydrated corpses and an old cart.

...She really hoped it was the former.
