I'm definitely looking to start this either sometime Tuesday or sometime Wednesday. How does that sound for everyone? If there's any complications with that schedule tell meh beforehand and I'll push the date back a bit.

Don't worry if your character isn't finished by then, you should still have quite a bit of time during the intro phase before things start picking up. (Honestly, I think you have till the end of the first part before it gets harder to introduce a character)

So does anyone want to set up a fight or go against someone else? Because I don't want this RP to be paused for too much longer.

Also unless someone else wants the spot more I'm just going to go ahead and make the water manipulator character myself to fill in for Cinderella Man who is pretty much MIA now.

Looks 26 but is possibly millennia old (although the majority of that time until coming through the rift was spent within the ring)

Unclear - The majority of Amara's existence has been spent within a magical ring and sexuality was (and still is) a thing that she never really considered. She has only very recently begun interacting with humans on any real level and has never really had any sexual interest in anyone one.

Magic

Yes but Amara was never really a very magically powerful Genie anyway. At the very most she was capable of teleporting her master from place to place but that was about it. Today, she still uses magic from time to time but not on any great scale.

Job/Position

Artist and laundry ninja - Tired of her sitting around doing nothing, Alden gave Amara an easel and some paints and told her to paint something. She proved surprisingly good at it and even likes it. She does still spend a lot of time at home cleaning up after Alden though.

Appearance

Amara stands about 5ft 8 tall with dark hair and eyes that seem to shift in colour. Her skin is almost completely free of blemishes but for a small scar at the base of her neck. She has a tendency to dress in some rather revealing, low cut outfits. She has a very long, lean body that some would say reminds them of a dancer's frame.

Personality

Having never really spent much time interacting with mortals other than her previous masters, Amara's social skills are greatly lacking. She is brutally honest and weirdly literal at times. If everyone else is avoiding saying something, Amara will likely be the one to say it. She doesn't mean any harm by what she says, she simply doesn't understand that her comments are inappropriate. Her lack of social skills often leads her to want to be alone and she tends to be kind of moody.

She is often confused by humans and the things they do. Mortal life in general confuses her and she often mocks people for the stupid things they do.

Despite her lack of social skills, Amara has redeeming qualities. She is fiercely loyal to those she considers friends and will go to the ends of the earth to help them. She is also a very caring person and has a marked fondness for those she considers down on their luck. Which may explain why she likes Alden so much.

In recent years, Amara has developed something of a taste for power. Something that she never really had before. She has learned that she likes to have some kind of control over others and has become shockingly good at manipulating people to her own ends.

History

The genie of the ring has lived a long life. She has mentioned a life before the ring, among other genies/djinn but it's obviously something she's not comfortable discussing. All Aladdin has been able to determine is that she went through some great trauma before being magically bound to serve whoever possesses her ring. She has served many masters, some good and some bad. Throughout her time in servitude, she would complete the task given to her and then return to the ring with no fuss. She seemed to care very little for life outside the ring and even less for her masters. That was of course until she came into the possession of a young boy named Aladdin.

Aladdin was really the first of her masters to really show any interest in her as a person rather than just some magical thing. He treated her kindly, like a person rather than property. She was hardly the most powerful djinn or even the most sociable, unlike that blowhard in the lamp, but Aladdin was always nice to her and even tried to set her free from the ring after that messy business with her former master. Sadly, she was not a wish granting djinn and only some seriously powerful magic could ever hope to free her. But she was fine with that. She was happy to stay with Aladdin. Servitude was all she knew. So she stayed with Aladdin as his friend and confidant through thick and thin. Even after the exile through the rift.

The rift changed Amara. It freed her from the confines of the ring and gave her a human body. Anyone else would likely have been ecstatic to be free after an eternity of servitude but Amara was lost. She didn't know what to do with herself. For years afterwards, Amara clung to Aladdin's side and would rarely venture outside unless it was absolutely necessary. The time they spent living on the streets was particularly difficult for Amara but Aladdin (Alden, as he became known) helped her a lot and showed her how to survive.

Today, Amara and Alden have secured a small apartment but Amara still prefers to spend the majority of her time indoor. Alden will often drag her out into the world though and force her to interact with others. Alden pushing her to interact has helped her and she has made a few friends but she has also learned that she doesn't always have to be the subservient one. She learned that she liked having the power.

Maybe if she's aware of it but it really depends on who that genie is. I'm not sure she'd be all that bothered about it if it was an evil genie and by the looks of Ali's history it was.

The Lonely Tavern

At the sudden and unexpected noise, Ember yelped and flew into the air before quickly vanishing from sight. There was a silent pause before she reappeared almost as quickly as she had disappeared with her mouth hanging open. With eyes wide and clasped hands slowly raising to her heart, the pixie made a long, slow sound like she was inhaling air until she was suddenly completely silent as she watched the wolf in the doorway.

Then, suddenly, she shot at the creature. She didn't attack though. Before Kitten would even have time to react, Ember had clutched onto his head and was hugging him as tightly as she could. "You're adorable!" she proclaimed in a squeaky tone. She seemed to care very little that this creature was a complete stranger, let alone that it could eat her with very little effort.
