A reboot might be healthy.

In particular, my situation with Aftermaths current running has left me totally and completely burnt out on it, to the point where I was about to step down as GM and perhaps even leave entirely before Ellri announced Hiatus. The reasons for that are complicated and entirely my fault (so don't anyone go feeling bad or anything).

Suffice to say, if we redo this, I will not be controlling named NPCs. I would likely keep Nyiss around and play Jewel as my PC, and that would be it. That would mean Viera, Thalia and any of the other myriad of characters I was responsible for writing would not return under my auspices, if at all.
I don't think there is a specific age on which Quarians depart. They begin training for it very early, and depart when their parents and captain deem them to be 'ready.' That could be as young as 15 or 16, or as old as 20. I'd say most depart the fleet around 17-19 range though.

Remember it can (and often does) take several years for them to complete their pilgrimage.
Sovi3t, while we enjoy helping, you cannot simply ask us to improve your history in such a general manor. As Derv said, I am running other games and cannot do everything for everyone. My suggestion is that you go and do some research (aka go for a wikiwalk on the Mass Effect Wiki), as well as look over your sheet carefully for inconsistencies and edit accordingly.
I am still quite happy to answer questions of a more specific nature though, as time permits me to!

For those asking for sheet reviews, I'm afraid I'll not be doing anything too in depth for anyone as reading sheets and replying with feedback can take quite a while, and I still have my own sheet to finish (Salarian Hitman). That said, I'll try and at least do a brief review as I'm gonig to end up reading them all at some point anyway. Might as well be now.
Well, I should make it clear that I am not a GM for this first and foremost... Simply a lore buff and friend of Dervish. I'm doing GM type things while he's away to keep peoples enthusiasm up and make sure he's not bombarded when he does get back.

That being said, I can give my opinion on characters. Unfortunately though Makatsume (and anyone else wanting me to answer questions and such) you'll have to wait three hours or so for my opinion as I'm going out very shortly.

Keep questions coming though and I'll do my best to answer when I get back.
Personally, I think that anything a Quarian could do to get exiled should be an integral part of their character. Exile is the single worst thing that can happen to a Quarian in their society, and is only done for the most horrific of transgressions against the entire Migrant Fleet. You can still run the idea past me if you like of course, but if you have any other ideas then they are probably better in terms of a method to have a Quarian off the fleet.
Raindash - I was refering to Vandy's idea with the bareface thing. I would say there is in fact face paint for Citadel-born Turians as quite a few live there.

Sixsmith - there are many reasons for leaving the Flotilla. While I want say its impossible to be an exile, I will say that every Quarian submission that has tried to use that device to join Nova in the past has been rejected. I suggest that if you go with it, you should research everything there is on it beforehand.

Some other suggestions if you're set on a Vas instead of a Nar - while the Flotilla uses Quarians on pilgrimage for its hands outside the fleet for the most part, such is not always the case. They conduct missions with Quarian marines and scientists fairly regularly, not in Citadel space but everywhere else is free. They send scout ships both ahead of the Flotilla and roaming across the galaxy in search of a new world that suits them. Individual Quarians are sometimes sent to gather particular vital supplies.

Granted none of these reasons are on their own enough to join up with the group, but if for example something were to happen to a scout ship, like if it were attacked on suspician of piracy (by Siame industries) and your character was one of those who survived, then you have a reason both to be away from the Migrant Fleet and join up with us specifically, and still not be against the Flotilla in any way.

Her shell couldn't withstand the radiation. I think I'll add more about that, but it's already put in the sheet twice. Her mother was an engineer, a pretty dedicated one. Since Turians are public minded, I'd imagine it wouldn't be difficult to imagine her working on engines as much as possible even while close to her due date. (I'll specify this in the history, just in case.)And, she grew up with a fairly well off Asari on the Citadel. She wasn't exposed to Cabal since day one. I figured that sending a child to fight with a high stake group might be pushing it.

This is acceptable, and makes sense. Incidentally, does this mean that she would currently react to Palaven like a human or other soft skinned race when living there for a long time?

Vandy - Thats a possibility. Such things have been known to occur. Incidentally I believe that'd make your Turian a bareface.

Archangel, if you really don't like the idea of being just a vanguard, make up a subclass (or even copy Thanes). Crya already did so for Daryna, the Drell Adept. No reason you cant do so for your character as well.

The reason I'm asking is that Traja was predicted to be a Biotic due to her exposure to Element Zero while in vitro. However, he parents were military and had to return to Palaven, but Traja had to stay behind in the hands of the Cabal because her weakened exoskeleton and was put into foster care until she was old enough to start the usual Turian boot camp, although mostly under another Cabal.

This is also mostly under the table, again because the Cabal and a shadow organization.

My question with this is: Why was she not moved back to Palaven when she was old enough to make the trip?

Biotics don't actually manifest for the first few years of life, so there would likely be easily enough time to take her back there and keep an eye on her just in case she became biotic, rather than exposing a potentially normal Turian girl to the Cabal from day one, especially as any Cabal groups on the Citadel are likely ever changing and only there for a mission.
Well the thing with biotic characters, is that its quite possible to have a wide variety of mentalities and approaches to combat and still have a class that would not be considered fitting for them.

Thane is case in point. He is technically an Adept, but he acts like an infiltrator most of the time. Don't get too hung up on what class your character is, as for the most part the class system is not so much a lore thing as it is a power selection thing. Just because you're a Vanguard doesn't mean you have to charge into battle and be a melee brute. Just think of it as meaning that you are a close quarters trained biotic instead.

By the same token, other classes should not limit a character. When I make characters for Mass Effect, I prefer to make the character first, and then apply what class I think their style best, as this is all more about who your character is than what combat niche they may fill.
Depends. The Turian Cabals operate largely as spec ops groups and rarely get assigned to one place for any length of time. Given how much Turian Biotics are considered pariahs in their society, the Hierachy tend not to want to show them off at all, in fact doing their best to give the impression that there are no Turian biotics.

Dervish knows more about the Cabals than I do, but as he is not here I shall answer to say, I don't think its impossible, but there would need to be a rather good reason. Its far more likely they'll just have a mission or two there than be assigned there on a permanent basis.
