Well... If thats true, then I just cant help but feel that England is just so much better than Scotland...
The ship once again shook around Ariadne as a more powerful shot struck the shields. The battle was fierce outside the Langford, but she was entirely ignoring it. Her host was paying attention to that aspect of the battle, making full use of their shared memories to comprehend a type of battle she had experienced very little of for herself, and would warn Ariadne if there was anything she needed to intervene with. Ariadne herself was focused on the groundside aspects of the operation. Though commanding from on high was generally not her style, she did recognise the necessity here, not to mention she would hardly be an effective leader of a small squad - she was more used to inspiring armies with the presence of their god.

She wasted no time ordering the Langarans into the offensive when Kayle’s signal came through. All across the district the Men of Langara mobilised to charge into battle to fight, and most likely die, for their world. Ariadne hardly cared that there would be casualties, as long as the battle was won and her permanent assets, the SG team, were kept relatively intact it would be a victory. From what she could see of the positions from the orbital view, the SG team would only hear the battle - such as it would be. The Langarans first wave would be slaughtered. Apparently they were bringing forward some weapons called ‘tanks,’ that would apparently neutralise the Alliance defences. That would be useful, if the Langarans could break through they could reinforce the SG team.

With the Langaran assault under way, Ariadne waited a few moments before contacting the ground team. She spoke with Idalia’s voice to avoid any undue distortion caused by the primitive Tau’ri communications technology. “The distraction has begun, enter the structure and carry out your task. Make every attempt to remain undetected, but once you are detected move with haste to the objective.”
*Eyes twitch in barely contained rage*
You did that on purpose didn't ya.... :P
My time zone is utc +12, I live in NZ.
We could probably collab RogerD, since I'm sure our captains will have a fair bit to discuss, probably starting with the fact Rhea has bone blades growing out of her forearms....
Indeed you do. The price of owning territory on that lovely, law abiding station.....

Of course they only abide the law if you enforce it on them.
And the news post is up!

Finances and events all getting interesting now, but no public news on the artifact...

Have at it folks.
---Unknown Planet, Unknown Star System, Rosetta Nebula---

Jaelan, of Jaelan industries, was busy overseeing the latest reports about the route out of the Nebula, into Citadel space where he could sell the artifact. His artifact. It didn’t look good. Pirates were gathering en masse at the Mass Relay, no doubt just waiting for a slow, heavy transport ship to show up carrying the artifact. The one consolation Jaelan could find was that they hadn’t found his planet yet. It was just a matter of time though, he had no doubt that someone knew where he was, and that information probably had a high price tag on it right now.

He put down the datapad that had just informed him of bad news and turned to the massive window that made up one of the walls of his office. It gave an excellent view of the large shielded plaza in the middle of Jaelan industries mining complex - and the colossal form of the artifact being kept there. It was beautiful, this marvel of ancient technology. Sharp, angular lines of greenish metal, broken by the occasional inactive power conduit and scarred by signs of ancient weapons fire.

When they had found it, Jaelan had instructed his men to dig the object and all the surrounding rock out of the ground, lifting the whole conglomerate clear. Since then, about half the rock had been stripped away, but the rest was still attached and would end up being moved with the object. Only Jaelan had been inside the artifact so far. Once he emerged, he had ordered the artifacts airlock sealed and no-one else be allowed inside. Only he deserved to know the Artifacts secrets….
Omega News
...And finally in Terminus Sector news today, the Rosetta Nebula has become highly volatile as multiple mercenary and private military groups gather at the Mass Relay. Our sources say that the situation could ignite into an all out battle at any moment. Local Blue Suns leader Tarak had this to say:
“Anyone crazy or stupid enough to get involved with this foolish artifact hunt deserves whatever come to them when the situation falls apart. The Blue Suns will just sit back and enjoy the show.”
And now for the weather.
The Talons gang has lost territory to the Blue Suns in the Tetsu district, and residents can expect district stability and an increase in policing. In the industrial districts, Aria’s forces have seized control of several area’s near the Eezo refineries, further solidifying the Queens control over this most important of Omega’s resources. Finally, territory long held by the Red Phoenix mercenary company has been enveloped in a sudden and bloody revolt, as local gangs bring chaos to the streets in a bid to make a name for themselves. Only time will tell if the citizens of this district will stand with their erstwhile protectors, or side with the invaders to cast down the oppressor.
Once again, I’m Toruk, and this has been Omega News.

Been feeling really mentally exhausted here as well....

News is up presently, as well as a brief post for the man who presently owns the artifact. Zhar post will be a Derv collab.
This entire area was in chaos. Ships were still just popping in out of nowhere. It was a wonder that it hadn’t all just devolved into a big free for all firefight already. Still, that was a good thing. The rather blunt crew of the massive metallic megalith had transmitted, with their primitive radios, their intention to assist in the Intent’s humanitarian activities, once they’d sent a team to make sure they weren’t ‘Cylons’ whatever they were. Rhea transmitted back, again only on audio as they likely wouldn’t be able to receive any more complex signals.

“I assure you, I am one hundred percent pure Nietzschean. I am fairly certain we have no ‘Cylons’ aboard, though not knowing what a Cylon is, I honestly couldn’t say.”

Cutting the comms, she then addressed the next message.

RogerD said “This is Captain Weston of the USS Aurora, I am sorry for not replying sooner, but it seems the arrival of another ship, who were suitably worried by the seemingly large build up of unfamiliar vessels, and rightly so. However – I would like to invite you, or if you would prefer I could come aboard your vessel so that we may meet.”

“That is a very gracious offer Captain Weston. My ship lacks small craft and I will not break formation with the Andromeda while my people are aboard, so you will have to meet me on my ship. I will make sure the dorsal bay has space to land a small craft.”

Of course, she also wanted to meet this Captain Weston on familiar territory, where she would have the advantage. The idea of seeing his ship up close was somewhat appealing, but largely useless, as unlike her AI, she could only infer vulnerabilities, not scan the area down to the last bolt and weld.

As co-ordinates came in from the Aurora, she also had them forwarded to the Andromeda with an explanation of what they were for. They seemed like a reliable ally, and Rhea could always use more of those.
