Indeed, my character creation method is quite detail oriented, and my characters are at their best when I have a good working knowledge of the world I'm putting them in. I tend to tie them quite closely to existing events as well as creating my own, and a good deal of their personality is determined by this.

A side-effect is that they are not transferable between settings - to do so would usually break so many of the defining events in the history that I'd effectively be making a new character.

Random introspective ramble aside, I'm doing most of the new writing for Cerria now. It is a total rework of the sheet, hopefully without any major errors this time round.
I am editing in the new sections as I complete them. Because finding the sheet again is tedious.
Heres another question.

Has it been the angels duty to protect humans from the moment humans came into being, or did that only start once the angels came to live among humans?
You're a lucky woman then! I haven't met any INTJs in person (that I know of), and given the lopsided gender ratio we have among our already small population, I've pretty much given up on the idea of finding an INTJ woman for me irl...
Why must we love to point out flaws so much?

Anyway.

So, people were suggesting it was possible to be an Angel that had survived the fall... This is still possible right?

My current plan is to have Cerria survive the fall and almost to the present day, but have been recently killed and reincarnated. Thus, the current reincarnation would be only one removed from an Archangel (making any remembering both incredibly effective and dangerous).
I also had the picture in mind that the Councils membership was somewhat transient in nature, that while there were a few that were stable members, the membership changed around a bit over the many many years. Is this right?

As it happens, I don't really need her to officially be part of the council though, as there was no official council for the events around Lucien and the later stuff can have her opposing it (politically, not with force) without technically being one of 'the seven.'
The collab with RogerD is proceeding...
I know! We're so rare! Coming across another of us is always a pleasure XD

I was wondering if Cerria could perhaps have been on the council at one point in her life?

Perhaps even among those involved in the events surrounding Luciens daughter but as one who argued against the plan?
Following the fall of heaven she would have agreed with protecting humans but been against the idea of setting up the Council in the way it was (casting them as demigods).
I think she would've left the Council not all that long after the fall of heaven though.

Just a note, the original story is gonig to be quite different - though the end result will not be too dissimilar.
< INTJ

Well, that doesn't help me all that much...

Honestly, I'm veering towards reincarnated Cerria, for several reasons:
- She'd be less harsh and angry, though more unstable, but overall more likely to get along with people.
- She wouldn't have the vast knowledge of an Archangel, and this is good as it more accurately reflects my own knowledge of the world.
- Less explaining to do about why she won't use other abilities.
- Lets me jump straight into certain aspects like the degredation of her physical form...
Well, thats an answer far deeper than I expected...

If it were unequivocally true that properly playing an insane character made the person themself insane, then I would already be in an asylum...
Of course none of the insanities my characters have featured in the past have been to quite the level you use as an example here, but they have, nonetheless, been insanity.

While I cant speak for others, I know that for me RP is a medium to explore (among other things) actions that I would personally never do, or sometimes even find abhorrent in the extreme and actively oppose.

Philisophical discussion aside...

I am now presented with the choice....
Do I play Cerria, or do I play Cerria reincarnate?
Any idea how long the plot will go for on an in-world basis? If it goes long enough I could do both...
You all talk like insanity and physical instability are bad things... ;)
So I'm still here. I've got a barrage of questions to be answered...

What kind of timeframe does angelic reincarnation happen in? Does the spirit immediately find a new human host or is there a downtime? Is there a difference between the time it takes for a recently killed Archangel to reincarnate and a recently killed standard angel?

If an arch was killed recently and reincarnated, how apparent would it be to the angelic community that the reincarnation was an arch in their previous life?

Would an Archangel be likely to understand the technical aspects of how a weather angels abilities work? (the void rupture thing)

When an Angel remembers a past life, do they remember the whole life in one go or does it come in parts?

How resilient are an Angels wings and how much to they regrow? (for both standard and Arch)

If I've interpreted correctly, remembering all of ones previous lives makes you an archangel yes (even if you were a 'normal' angel before)? What exactly occurs at that point? Do they suddenly regain every aspect of an Archangels power? Is there a physical change at all? Basically how does this work?

Would a weather Angel remembering her way into being an Archangel allow her to carry her void rift with her or would she still be stuck with the fixed one?

Remembering lives gets progressively more difficult as you go back more - is this on a per life basis or more related to the amount of time you go back? (if ones previous life was that of an archangel - aka thousands of years - would it be the same effort as remembering a previous life that was only 100 long spent as a 'normal' angel?)
Post is started, will finish it off and post tomorrow.
