A feeling of confusion filled Ariadne when the call came in for her to report to the morgue. The only reason she might be called there at this time was if, perhaps, the humans had overestimated the capabilities of her healing device. There was nothing it could do for someone already dead. Only a sarcophagus had that power, and even that was limited. Nonetheless, she made her way there as quickly as possible. At this moment, the captains orders were paramount, more so than usual.

She was not entirely prepared for the sight that greeted her when she entered the morgue however. A human cut open, innards on display in a grotesque but strangely clinical way, entirely unlike even the most horrific of Goa’uld torture sessions she had witnessed. Perhaps worse was her hosts reaction to the sight. Idalia had never witnessed such things, having avoided any particularly horrifying scenes in Ariadne’s memory. The feeling of shock and revulsion that washed over her was horrible, and the intensity of it stopped her from entirely restricting the reactions of Idalia’s body. She managed to at least stop them from losing the contents of their stomach, but she could feel the blood drain from her face.

Somehow the Tau’ri doctors were unaffected by the grisly display, having caused it themselves by the looks of it. In an effort to not appear meek, Ariadne spoke with the symbiote voice in as strong a tone as she could manage. “You wanted to see me.” She said more as a statement than a question.

“Actually Joseph wanted your second opinion on the body.” Niven broke in, his eyes jerked up the corpse while Joseph had dissected organ pieces into smear slide then arranged them on a rack.

Likely the smell didn’t help the situation but Joseph had become jaded to such trivial matters he overlooked the details that others might not be as adapted. It took several tries and on the fourth mention of his name, the doctor’s head whipped back to Niven. “Joseph, Ms. Idalia is here. The second opinion?” “Yes, of course. Ms, Idalia, I need you to see this area and verify what I suspect it is. Namely since I’ve never this before outside research and I rather be thorough.” Came Joseph’s words, in the same even and solid tone, his hand reached out to point out splayed area where there seemed to be a sac near the spine.

Ariadne. Idalia is not accustomed to such sights.” Whether the distinction registered with the man was not really a concern of hers right now, as things were starting to come together. She stepped closer to the body, and despite how Idalia protested, she leaned close to get a good look at the spot Joseph was indicating. As she got close, she detected the faint hint of Naquadah from the body, and all her suspicions were confirmed. The body had, until very recently, been the host to a symbiote. Quite probably Vanja, as the possibility that there was yet another symbiote onboard was approaching preposterous.

Her immediate instinct was to lie, conceal the facts behind the body, but that was pointless as the Tau’ri would discover soon enough. Instead, she stood, put her hand on Josephs shoulder to make him look up at her and looked pointedly at him for a long moment before speaking. “I need to speak to the captain. Immediately.” She spoke to convey the importance of the matter, and with just a hint of threat, as if to say the information should not leave the room. This situation was rapidly spiralling out of control and she would now have to take a leap of faith, lest she find herself at odds with all sides involved.

“If you’re going to inform of what I already know, its a little late.” Joseph admitted when he looked into Ariadne’s direction. Her skin had paled, though he partly suspected it was because of her host’s discomfort over the dead body, and it seemed very edgy even for her usual calm demeanor. “I’ve already notified the Captain what was odd with the body and while I’ve kept my suspicions confidential, your reaction confirms my original guess. Ms. Ylva Falk was originally a host to a symbiote. Now the question is this: was it Goa’uld or a Tok’ra?”

Joseph made it clear he had done his homework and did it well, namely when it came to the biology reports on both subjects. “Evidence would suggest it was a Tok’ra since Goa’uld hosts aren’t often willing.”

I cannot give you a final answer for that question Joseph. What I can tell you, is that the symbiote, whoever or whatever they are, was not the traitor. Be they Goa’uld or Tok’ra, no symbiote would willing sacrifice itself for the destruction of an enemy. We are, by nature, a self centered race, and survival is our most basic and important concern.” Ariadne was quite pleased he had not yet moved onto the real question: Where is the symbiote now? It clearly did not die with the host after all. She knew it would not be long before that question was asked however, which is why she had to get to the captain and answer it for her as quickly as possible.

For your own safety, I suggest you do not investigate this matter without orders to do so. If a symbiote has infiltrated this far, they will know when they are found out, and they may do anything to ensure they are not compromised.

“Well they aren’t alone in that behavior. Humans can be just as bad sometimes.” Joseph chipped in then continued, his body twisted about to fully face. Mostly a defensive habit when he felt shit about to hit the fan and he had brace against it. “Currently, I wouldn’t be surprised if it found another host already. It’s self preservation instincts would’ve kicked in and entered the nearest body. If I wanted panic and chaos, I would’ve mentioned all my concerns. It’s not hard to put two and two together when I see something that concerns me. Though most is simply theories and no evidence to support them.”

He eyed her with a firm stare, his sight steadied for any indications he was right. Then he pulled away and set the rack on the counter. He leaned over it, his voice calmer and steady compared to his earlier displeasure. “It’s not my safety which matters. I’ve lived a longer life, both good and bad, but if this secret hurts my patients then I hold you responsible. Don’t make me regret trusting you against my gut, Ariadne.”

You have my thanks.” was all Ariadne said in reply. She would not make promises she could not keep, and promising the safety of the crew was definitely not something she could do. With that, she turned and left the unpleasant room, reaching for her radio. “Captain, I must speak with you at once about a matter of great urgency.”
Or if you fancy talking to one of the pilots, Kytra is available, as long as you come to the hangar.
That will depend entirely on whether Alessia is still a viable character in the end product.
I am personally not overly fond of a reboot, for several reasons, the main one being that the event based manner in which I craft my characters gives them a very low reboot survival rate, and I hate losing characters to such things.

On the other hand, I know that a reboot would be extremely beneficial for the RP overall...

As for GMs, while it is a proven fact that I compliment Ellri very well as a GM, I am not sufficiently invested in this to offer myself as a GM, nor do I believe I need to with the other competant individuals already putting themselves forward for the task.

As for content and lore....

I'm not a great one to come to for new ideas, i'm far better at picking through inconsistencies in things others put forward.
Noooo..... come join the Rebellion! We need more people to make up for the massive logistics and equipment issues we will no doubt be having very early on.
That and I don't want to have the only female character on the Rebellion side of things.

As an interesting side note, is was not, in fact, Palpatine that was responsible for the Empires xenophobia and male dominated military. He didn't really care either way, measuring people more by potential and competance than race or gender. It was largely the fault of his immediate inferiors, Sate Pestage, Grand Moff Tarkin and a couple of others that such laws and prejudices came so strongly into effect.
You were dreaming it Sep.

Free, I have started that collab. It took a little longer than expected, sorry about that.
Name: Kytra Alde
Species: Human
Gender: Female
Affiliation: Rebel Alliance
Appearance:

The girl, not the Rodian. She generally avoids the bright orange rebel pilot suit, favouring more muted colours and a more versatile suit in case she needs to go without her ship on a moments notice. She can often be found with mechanics gear (such as goggles) while off duty. While familiar with many of the exotic hairstyles that Alderaanian women of noble houses often wear, she does not usually take the time to do anything with her hair, excepting special occasions.
Equipment:

R2-S8 - ‘Gizka’ an R2 series astromech droid.
Assorted mechanics tools - stored on Y-Wing
Slicing tools
Background:
Born in 30 BBY on Alderaan to the House of Alde, Kytra is one of the latest scions of this noble house, and also one of those least likely to inherit anything at all. Kytra’s life has been marked by this low familial standing, not so much in a negative way as simply having very few expectations assigned to her, a state that grew even more pronounced when, despite the Alde lines tendency to produce Force wielders, she failed to show any signs of affinity for the Force. Thus, her early life was spent largely between either the excellent education the house provided or wandering through Alde libraries, reading about the many heroes that have come from the House in times long past. A youth spent daydreaming of heroes and heroism left her an idealist from a young age.

Kytra was eleven when the Galactic Republic became the Galactic Empire - just old enough to understand the distinction, and while her elders certainly did not encourage interest in politics at such a young age, her Alderaanian education ensured that she could understand some of why they all felt such foreboding at the idea. While she did not change her behaviour based on the knowledge that the Republic was no more, the seeds that would lead her to later join the Rebellion were sowed at this time.

Kytra’s adolescent years saw her become more adventurous, sometimes even being described as thrill-seeking. She learnt to pilot and service landspeeder at a fairly young age, and later even learning to ride the majestic Thranta. As her schooling came to an end, she briefly took up sport hunting, though quickly decided that the killing of largely defenceless animals with blasters was not nearly as fun as it had seemed. Even while all this was going on, she never lost interest in the wealth of information in the grand Alde libraries, though in later years she did not simply read the stories, but tended to search the computer networks of the library for information not generally available, picking up some slicing skills along the way, though this got her in trouble more than once.

Throughout this time, she heard a great deal about the political situation in the galaxy from her family and many others on Alderaan, generally sharing in the views that many on the planet were taking on, the view that the Galactic Empire was oppressive and certainly not a good thing for the galaxy. Her thrill seeking, restlessness and desire for heroics reached a head in ten BBY, shortly after her twentieth birthday. As far as she was concerned, there was a definite enemy in the Galactic Empire, and in fighting them she could go down in Alde history as a hero - perhaps even one of the heroes that restored the glorious Republic. Lacking the Jedi skills that would make her a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield, and lacking any real command or infiltration skills, she chose to exploit one of her few real combat applicable skills - piloting. Using the entirety of the pitiful inheritance she had, she purchased a BTL-A4 Y-Wing Starfighter and an Astromech to assist in piloting it.

From there, it was not hard for Kytra to join the Rebel Alliance, as the anti-empire sentiment on Alderaan was strong. Many Alderaanians had been part of the Alliance since its beginning, and using her familial contacts, it did not prove hard for her to find the right people to talk to about signing up. The Alliance recruiters were, as always, overjoyed to receive a new fighter pilot, however lacking in experience she may be, especially since she was supplying her own ship.

It has been five years since she signed up, and since then she has only honed her existing skills to even greater levels. In particular both her piloting and slicing skills have increased, and her usual role in any ground operation she participates in is as the squad slicer. As well, she has learned a great deal from the Rebel mechanics about her craft, and enjoys servicing it herself during her spare time, a fact for which the Rebel mechanics are infinitely thankful for, as Y-Wings are responsible for a huge amount of their workload, and it is not often that the pilots themselves will take the time to keep their ships in good condition.

Reason for joining the Alliance: Wishes to be immortalised as a hero of House Alde, as one who fought the tyranny of the Galactic Empire and prevailed in restoring the Republic.

You needn't worry about dominating the air (or lacking oponents in the air), I am bringing a Y-Wing pilot along. Which I shall finish the sheet for later, after I have slept.

You may know this already, if so apologies at repeating it, but one important thing for Imperial pilots is that they very rarely fly the same craft twice - every TIE is designed to be identical and no pilot customisation/attachement is permitted, enforced by rotating the craft through after every deployment - an Imperial attempt to foster thinking more as a collective and having a less individualistic approach.
Just a random semi-important tidbit of knowledge and certainly not worthy of sheet alterations for.
She's at the command post right now (which as said earlier is a fair way away, and unspecified as to in a building or no.

Dread Omen will continue to be active until I post about her deactivating it, and no the effect is uniform across the the entire area it covers.

I have actually thought of a reason for her to move since then though, so if you want to collab something we can, though not right this minute as I am ridiculously tired and cannot write like this...
I'll send you something after I get up tomorrow.
On further analysis, I have decided to close this RP, there are several key mistakes I made in planning it that are making it incredibly difficult for me to move it forward adequately, and this has reduced the fun for me considerably.

Once again thanks to those still here, your efforts are much appreciated.

I may reboot this in the future, after a redesign or two of some key aspects, but don't expect such a thing to happen particularly soon.
