Hmm, Auriel trying to show herself off to Althalus?...I don't think she can really compete with Mar in that department.

The diffrence is, Auriel is just flirting with him for fun. She wont be at all torn up about him and Mar, and she doesn't expect anything to come of it. Even if Althalus did choose her, the most that'd happen would be that they made out a few times and then she got bored of him.
Short Auriel post for what probably best completed as a Collab....
Auriel had wondered how long it would be before someone decided to chat to her other than the Demon. She’d usually caught the attention of the men in the places she normally stayed by now, though she had to admit that with the various and obscure beings that seemed to have arrived she probably seemed quite plain to look at. Shoving a flame into a demons face and getting away unscathed though, that had drawn the attention she was used too. Even now a roguishly handsome human man in black armour approached her. She turned to face him as he spoke, idly stabbing tip of her dagger into the hard wood of the table, embedding it sufficiently for it to remain upright yet still easily retrievable.

“Crazy and lucky? Sounds like me.” She replied cheerfully as the man, Althalus, finished speaking. “Auriel.” She said, holding her hand out in one of the more universal greetings. “Zaad and I have our differences, but we’re great friends. Really.” She said with equal parts sarcasm and innocence. She didn’t really hold anything against him, even if he had just about attacked her. She suspected he might be holding something against her now though, given the turn of events. “The moment was just too perfect for me to pass up poking his ugly face with the candlestick. I’m sure he’ll get over it... Or get me back soon enough.” She said slightly more seriously this time, the grin still not having fallen from her face.

She noticed quite quickly that he had a rather scary looking metal mask at his waist that matched the armour he wearing. “Nice mask.” She said, leaning down as if to examine it, leaving a significant amount of cleavage in plain view for Althalus. “I think I’ve heard of it once or twice actually.” Rumours had passed through the Eanian capital a few times about a masked killer, some said he was an Assassin, some a Thief and she couldn’t resist the chance to bait this man out and see what he was really made of.

This place was too much fun. How she’d not realised that the people here might just be a cut above the common thuggery that usually accosted her in the inns and taverns she frequented was beyond her. Now she was here though, and she was going to have as much fun as possible while the chance was there.
Tabletop GM of Rouge Trader here, I'd probably be interested if you were to start something up, though I am a bit full up with RPs at the moment.

I do wonder precisely how much you'd incorporate the rules, since they can make for some very one-sided combats, particularly in space combat.
Not really.

Zaad was harrassing Auriel, as Zaad does, but he has left the room now, and if he shows up again he'll get punished by Khan, his master.

On that note, Haklo would have had a great view of that little event, since it happened right across the table from him.

Otherwise, there are a few people doing minor displays of their presently very weak powers, but everything is just fairly calm chatter in a massive room filled with students (our PCs aren't the only students at the college).
Woo! Yay! Gold Star!
XD
I think she meant Gif....
:p
XD
Its alright EliteCommander. You're in the clear, no-ones upset at you. You've done nothing wrong.
However, while Ocean Naga coils aren't adapted for constriction, Xyden is a darn sight bigger than Mar and has heightened strength because of the Myrmidon mutation. They are roughly equal on coil strength, but Xydens arms are stronger than the majority of the cast. He will be up there in the top braket of the arm wrestling contest...
Xyden had decided he liked the strange river-fish. He rapidly finished the previous dish and was about to reach across the table for more when someone nearby seemed to start choking. He whipped his head around to find the source of this strange noise and was greeted with the sight of a very pale human who seemed to be having trouble breathing the air. He could relate somewhat on that count, breathing above water was certainly not a pleasant thing to do, but even he had so far managed to avoid actually choking on it. For a moment he wondered whether he should help the human out by dunking his head underwater where he'd find breathing much easier. Right as he decided he should, however, the human seemed to recover. A few moments later, Xyden remembered that Surface Dwellers generally couldn't breath at all underwater anyway. With that, his fins rustled a little as if to say 'how strange' and he turned back to his food.

Moments later, he suddenly heard the same human asking if it could sit next to him. It seemed his slightly disastrous display had attracted some attention after all. He looked down at the human for a moment, but before he could reply, a shout rang out across the room and there was a minor commotion that quickly ended. Xyden swung his head about quickly looking for signs of danger. When he found none, he turned back to the human and spoke. “You may sit... where you wish... Land Strider.”

He then picked some more of the fish and put it on his plate, tongue flicking out to savour the smell of it before once more turning to the human and asking a question of it. “Do you control the water, Land Strider?”
