Furthermore, he'd fragmented it, giving away four pieces of it, which combined were of more-less equal strength with Those of Nito and the Bed of Chaos. So assuming he was twice as strong as Nito, he'd still be weaker in the end.
That is why he is weak when the player fights him, being one of the weaker bosses.

Me: ..... hold on..... *I portal away and back holding a small sugar cube* it's still in it's prototype phase as far as I'm concerned, but it should be able to purify souls. I tried it on a sloth with a completely tainted soul. I plan on bringing her back. She'll be a great ally.
