Honestly, apart from being a little busy with work and school, I'm trying to think of how to post. There isn't really much to build on at the moment, so most of it will end up being reactionary.
Avery watched the fiasco between Marc and the food trays, quite honestly surprised at how he had managed to kick the tray that had been heading for his face like he had. He must have some pretty amazing reflexes to be able to react so quickly. All the attention on him appeared to make him uncomfortable, however, as he hurriedly left the area he had been in, head sweeping from side to side as if he was looking for someone. To help him out, Avery waved her hand a bit.

Before too long, he found the table she was sitting at and took the seat next to her, setting down his tray and offering a simple greeting. “What was that that you did there?” Avery asked, too curious to want to avoid the subject. While it was probably nothing, the feat has seemed almost... inhuman. No one she had ever seen had been able to move like that, and, though it was beyond foolish, Avery couldn't help but wonder if he was like her. The relief that knowledge would bring would be beyond her imagination. At the very least, it would mean that she wasn't alone, and at the most, she would have someone to talk to about it. But again, that was probably just a silly fantasy that she had dreamed up.
Avery was rather glad that Marc didn't sound like he was angry over having to wait for her to catch up, though he did seem a tad bit surprised by her appearance so soon. “That sounds good to me,” Avery said, nodding along. While she wasn't hungry at the moment, she was a little thirsty, so it would be a great opportunity to get a drink.

“I haven't done anything with gymnastics for about two years,” Avery said, leaving it at that. He certainly didn't need to know the reason why. “So I'm in the same boat as you, I guess.” Honestly, it would be kind of nice to get back into gymnastics. At least, it would be as long as she didn't get found out for being a freak of nature.

In a few moments, the two of them were entering the cafeteria, which had quite few more students in it now that it had earlier that day. The sound of general conversations between friends filled the air and would definitely make it a little harder to hear one another, but it wasn't too bad. “I'm going to go get a drink,” Avery said, heading towards one of the vending machines and leaving Marc to get some food. In a few moments, she was sitting at one of the tables with a Vanilla Coke, waiting for him to get finished ordering his food.
"No, nobody has said anything really interesting," Runa said, shrugging. They were all to busy gossiping about one another to really find anything interesting whatsoever. She stood then, leaving her plate and silverware for the staff who were bustling around to take care of. From there, she and Sharphorn walked around looking for Jorvan, asking people if they had seen him every once in a while. Eventually, they found him talking with several other high-ranking officers discussing matters in hushed tones. Whatever it was, it seemed pretty important, and Runa was hesitant to intrude. "What do you think we should do?"
Finding out that others had been approached by the white ferret-like creature named Qubus had been a bit of a surprise to Hotaru. And not so much because it was improbable as it was the fact that she knew of them from school, though she had never really personally interacted with any of them. Regardless, there wasn't much conversation on the way up the staircase to the roof of the building; everyone seemed to be focused on having their wish granted and what it would all entail.

When the group stepped onto the roof, the first thing each of them noticed was the girl with long black hair and wearing a strange school uniform sitting on the edge of the roof, apparently having been staring out over the city before she turned to the group. The purple gem in her hand glittered softly in the light, which made it rather easy to notice. The blue-haired girl with them asked if she was Qubus, which, while Hotaru doubted it, could theoretically be possible. If the ferret could grant wishes, who was to say that he couldn't shapeshift as well?

Any possibility of the girl being Qubus in a different form was struck down as she called them all fools, causing Hotaru to frown. The girl with the green hair, Nora if Hotaru remembered correctly, seemed to find it rather amusing, falling to her knees in a fit of laughter before turning the comment back onto the girl wearing the purple clothes. Kaede, the other girl in their group, seemed to take courage from Nora's response, adding onto it before asking where Qubus was. Yami, the only boy in their group, had so far remained quiet, which honestly wasn't all that unusual of him according to what Hotaru had heard of him.

While Hotaru didn't support the comments or reactions of the taller girls in the group, she also understood that they weren't unwarranted. The girl in purple had started it after all, with her less than friendly demeanor and calling them fools. “Are you going to explain why we're fools, or are you just going to leave us wondering?” she asked, stepping forward so as to draw the girl's attention. “If not, then you might as well leave. There's no point in trying to convince us to give up our wishes when you have no reason for us to do so.”
I'll be getting my post up sometime tomorrow. I was rather busy the past three days.
I will tomorrow. I've been busy the past few days. And I'm sorry to hear about Thorgili
