@Apokalipse: I like your character! :D Could I just ask you to add in a limit to her power that prevents her from affecting molecules in a living body (except her own)? The only reason I'm asking is because it would make me feel a lot more comfortable about allowing the power. You could even describe it as the energy of the body or the brain preventing interaction or something. :3
The moment of silence before Marc's reply was rather nerve-wracking, mainly because he didn't give any real indication as to whether or not he believed her until he spoke. When he did, and it became apparent that he did accept her tale, the anxiety that had been building up vanished. It was a wonderful feeling to experience. However, Marc quickly took things to a level that she didn't understand. Hormones? Brain scanning? It was all over her head, but she couldn't get a word in edgewise because Marc was too excited to slow down, hopping to seemingly unrelated points.

When he was finally done speaking, Avery wasn't sure where she should begin a response. Figuring that the beginning was the best starting point, she said, “I-I think you misunderstood me. The 'shield' and the cause of my strength and speed are the same thing. I just use it to make me move faster or with more force. So, I don't know what hormones have to do with anything. And I'm not sure that I'm comfortable with a brain scanner.

“As for being nervous, I suppose that's a large part of it. It's pretty hard to keep people from finding out if I'm not careful. I can control it, but I'm not all that good at it yet and it takes a good bit of concentration. Especially for touching things. I have to remove it if I want to touch anything, so I have to be careful about touching people because they'll notice that there's no actual contact with skin. Most of the time they don't pay attention to picking up objects though, so that's a little easier.

“Does that answer your questions? I suppose that we could go somewhere and I could show you what my powers are like if you want. That might clear some things up,” she finished, looking at him while she sipped at her Vanilla Coke and waited for his response.
@Piqsy: Yes, this is still open. :D

@Apokalipse: Glad to hear it! :P

Here's the link to the OOC.
Good! :d Thanks for your interest!
Yep. :D
The girl didn't seem to be affected much by Nora and Kaede's insults, seeming to consider their insults unimportant. In fact, she seemed to compliment Nora, which made her even stranger. It was one thing to ignore name-calling, and quite another to compliment the person who was calling you names. Then she turned her gaze on Hotaru, who fidgeted despite herself, and explained the real reason she was there on the rooftop of the school. It was a bit of a strange coincidence that she was waiting for someone on the same rooftop where they were to meet Qubus, so Hotaru wasn't sure how much she bought of that story.

She didn't have time to dwell on it, however, as a girl with pink hair emerged on the stairs. The blue-haired girl seemed to know her, calling her Sakura and asking what had taken her so long. Sakura responded by calling the blue-haired girl Tomoyo and explained that she had forgotten her bag and had had to go back to get it. Before anything else happened, Sakura looked to the girl with black hair in surprise, calling her Nagako. From her and Tomoyo's testimony, Nagako was a transfer student that had just come to the school.

So, now everyone knows each other, Hotaru thought, a bit overwhelmed by just how strange everything that was occurring was. Especially as Nagako began grilling Sakura about if she valued the lives of herself, her friends, and her family. It seemed as though she was also speaking to Hotaru with those questions, and Hotaru couldn't help but find herself curious into what the point of it all was. When it became clear what that point was, Hotaru couldn't keep quiet.

“Isn't the point of becoming a Magic Knight to protect those around you from the evil that Qubus spoke of,” she asked, a tad bit of indignation coloring her voice. “To me it sounds like valuing the lives of those you are close to would be the perfect motivation for becoming a Magic Knight.” So far, it seemed like nothing Nagako had said had many any sense. She gave no explanation for the statements she made, but tried to sound like the group should agree with her anyway. Hotaru wondered if the others thought the same way; they had been pretty quiet apart from Nora and Kaede's initial response. But she didn't think that they were honestly considering what Nagako had said.
We are accepting new applicants again! :D Please make sure that you can commit to the roleplay, however, as it is going to become harder to replace people who drop out as the game goes on. Commit means being able to post at least twice a week if necessary. If it's going a little slower, once a week. Thanks for your consideration!
Sorry it took me so long to post. I've been kind of busy with work and school. It should be winding down now though,as I graduate next week. :P

@Lulu: Hope you feel better! :D
The pause between asking Marc what he had done in kicking the tray and his answer made Avery feel a little guilty about asking in the first place. She hadn't meant to make him uncomfortable, but she hadn't been able to keep from asking that simple question. Just as she was about to tell him that it was okay if he didn't want to tell her, he began explaining. Avery's sense of bewilderment grew with every word that Marc said. It just didn't seem possible that the words he was saying were the words she was hearing. Never in her wildest dreams would she have thought it possible to meet someone who also had, for lack of a better word, powers.

Now that Marc had bared himself like that, leaving himself open to all kinds of terrible reactions, Avery felt like she could do the same. If he was the same as her, there wouldn't be a problem in sharing her own abilities after all. “I-I have... abilities too,” Avery said, still a little hesitant about revealing her secret after so long guarding it. But it was something that she had to do. “I have this... field around my body that protects me, but I can use it to make me stronger and faster.” Having her secret out in the open made her feel like a huge weight had been lifted from her shoulders and set aside. Waiting for his reaction, she hoped that he wouldn't think she was pulling his leg.
I'm waiting on Andion.
