Tael's appearance is strange beyond ordinary explanation, giving weight to her claims of magical heritage. Despite the age she claims to be, she possesses a body similar to that of a child's, with undeveloped proportions indicative of having not yet reached the next stage in sexual development. Her hair and eyes are an otherworldly, violet hue, and her hair is usually kept very long and well-maintained.
Her size and weight are what you would consider normal for a girl between the ages of nine and twelve, and her style of dress accompanies this by being decidedly cute, and stylish, similar to what any other young girl would wear.
She may occasionally be seen wearing abnormal clothes for her age group, but this is often out of necessity, such as when her other clothes are damaged or during harsh or compromising environmental conditions.
Her girly hands show no signs of roughness or wear, indicating one who has not had much experience with machinery or hard work. Instead, she gives the impression of one who was more academically inclined, supported by the often vaguely knowing look present on her face.
Age 36
Gender Female
Race Fae/Human Mix
Role Head of Deployment of Magical Countermeasures Magic Specialist (Field)
Personality As one who claims to be a member of the mythical race of Fairies, it's no real surprise to hear that Tael is most definitely among the strangest individuals currently employed on the Tychon. Despite her strictly monotone and indifferent mannerisms, her behaviour has a strangely "Cat-like" quality to it, embodied by her irritating habit of falling asleep in strange places.
When questioned about this, she claims that she does it in order to "increase my appeal", but anybody even the least bit familiar with her can tell that it is mostly unintentional.
She's prone to mocking others, but almost completely avoids any criticism directed towards herself, showing a nearly comical amount of arrogance for one of such small stature and childlike demeanour. When it comes to her magical talents, she likes to act as if the only reason she provides any assistance at all is because "She feels like it", and not out of any sort of necessity.
At her core, she is in many ways a cruel, but also unfathomably empathetic person. While she prefers to hide behind a blank expression and tone, she feels deeply for any who are experiencing hurt or anguish, and will often do whatever she can to assist them (in her own, indirect manner.)
When it comes to a crisis, she is an extremely level-headed and surprisingly reliable person, which one might not assume from her given how she acts during times of relative peace. She prefers to be alone, but will band up with or stick around others if she either is interested in them, or if there is a general need for her to assist in some way. Bio Hailing from the Astarte Clan, most of Tael's earlier life is not exactly well-known, and her involvement in this campaign would be difficult to explain to those who do not understand her unique heritage.
However she may look, she is most definitely a certified and powerful Magic-user, one whose abilities and connections were enough to land her a ranking position on the Tychon. She has an interest in what lies beyond her simple home city in Atrea, and has likely joined with the crew of the Tychon in order to achieve some, unknown goal. It's worth noting that she is an independent Mage, not affiliated with the Order or the Guild alike.
It's a bit of mystery how a Mage with seemingly little background in the magical community managed to land such a position, or how they managed to become as powerful as she, but this is likely due to some unknown connections between the Astarte Clan and certain magical organizations.
Equipment
A simple, evidently hand-crafted bag of sorts, containing personal items and certain favoured items (A blanket, a periscope, a flask of alcohol, a pack of cigarettes, a lighter, assorted basic snacks and a change of clothes.)
Several books, of no particular worth save a single romantic novel that might assist in miscellaneous romantic affairs.
An ornate, extremely sharp dagger, possessing a four inch blade and accompanying sheathe. Hidden at all times.
Skills
Highly skilled Mage, capable of using a variety of magics and counter-magics with or without the assistance of tomes. Due to her wide knowledge base, multiple varieties of magic are available to her, making her quite versatile.
Has an understanding of romance unlike those of common men, and is able to provide effective romantic advice to all but the most hopeless cases.
Basic understanding of a lot of things, including the application of basic medical techniques, navigation, mathematics, culture, psychology, hand-to-hand combat, military strategy, logistics, diplomacy, astrology, herblore, alchemy, architecture, fishing and puzzle-solving. Basically, she reads a lot, and knows about a lot of random shit.
Optional Favours sweet snacks over salty or cracker-based ones Has secret adult habits that ruin her image as a cute child Tends to tease people who are easily embarrassed or overly serious
(Note: Her appearance is intended to be representative of this image. For those of you who have no issue with stylized appearance references, this may serve as a purer means of internalizing how Charlotte looks.)
Charlotte is a curious and definitively attractive young woman, possessing an amount of flair to her proportions that make her appealing to members of the opposite sex without seeming to go too far overboard. However, she is very lightly muscular as opposed to being particularly thin or large, and her otherwise fair skin has the lightest hint of a tan indicative of living somewhere that commonly experiences sunlight.
She keeps her blonde hair short, and practical, often not styled in any particular fashion but rather left as it is whenever Charlotte wakes from her daily nap. She has startling, grey eyes, which give her an oddly piercing gaze that gives off the impression of being more meaningful than it is.
As noble or strangely fierce as she may look from time to time, she is not especially tall or short, standing up at a height that could be considered relatively average for girls her age. Her weight, too, isn't all that interesting beyond that she seems to maintain at least some modicum of a healthy lifestyle. Somehow.
Her style of dress is most definitely on the "Wizarding" side of things, preferring casual robes in whatever fashion she decides most fit. When forced to disguise herself while in the Muggle world, she dresses minimalisticly, preferring short-sleeved tops and skirts, dresses or shorts, depending on the weather or mood.
She dislikes even a little bit of cold, so she tends to overdress when the winter weather comes in, although she has very little experience with such phenomenon having come from a traditionally hot locale.
Finally, she abhores altering one's appearance with charms or potions, and prefers to stick to whatever natural look she has at any given moment. This means that, more often than not, she will end up looking worse than usual due to problems such as stress, fatigue or lack of effort. It can't be helped.
Age 25
Heritage Pure-blood
House Non-Hogwarts
Personality Lazy, unmotivated and terribly malicious, Charlotte is the very definition of a person that is hard to get along with. She doesn't much care for the needs or wants of others, and prefers to service her own desires rather than go along with whatever those around her have planned. To those around her, it might seem like she's almost incapable of motivating herself to do anything. One might wonder how she has ever gotten anything done, or how she even managed to complete her schooling.
In truth, when she becomes completely devoted to achieving something, she is almost guaranteed to succeed just through sheer force of will and effort. At these times, she will stop at nothing to achieve her goals, thinking that "There's no point in doing things half-way."
Outside of these rare incidents, she is quite a care-free person, simply following whatever whims or wants she happens to be feeling at any given moment. Surprisingly (given her otherwise calm demeanour), she's very easily provoked, and tends to hold grudges for extended periods of time once slighted.
Similar to her approach when motivated towards a goal, she refuses to go half-way with her relationships. Whether it's disliking somebody to the point of hatred, or even becoming as close as lovers with somebody she's just befriended.
Such is her nature.
Familiar Shaman, her specially bred magic raven. Was her Mother's companion first, before being passed on to Charlotte. He is from a particular breed of intelligent, magical Ravens native to Australia. Having been paired with a Wizard for his entire life, he is fully capable of speaking fluently and is often able to offer helpful insight into any given situation, due to his unique perspective.
If you can get over his sense of humour, that is.

History
Charlotte grew up in the lovely, excessively boring country of Australia, where quote, "Nothing happens. Ever." Because of this, she had plenty of time to laze through her early magical education, with no ill effects suffered due to the growing crisis in faraway Britain.
Since a young age, she was paired up with her mother's old Raven named Shaman, who taught her all sorts of things (good and bad). Most importantly, he introduced the concept of Muggles to her, and showed her the ways in which they differed from magical folk. Her parents reinforced these teachings, indicating to her that she should never interact with them unless ab-so-lutely necessary.
However, after being teased tremendously with stories of the strange people and never being able to see them for herself, Charlotte one day decided that she would make the perilous journey down the local street to try and find herself a couple of Muggles to gander at. Shaman warned her against this, but accompanied her anyways, devoted to ensuring that no harm would befall her in his absence.
They left home together and set off on a trek down the sweltering, dirt road, to the nearby Muggle settlement. Upon arriving, she was nearly struck down with awe at the things she saw and heard. The Muggle folk bustled about busily, wearing dress different from any she had ever seen and riding in machines she had only heard spoken of passingly.
In her curiosity, she failed to comprehend the trouble she might encounter by wandering the streets alone, a mere seven year old girl dressed in nothing but a woefully vulnerable child's robe and Witch's hat.
They were on her in minutes, asking drawlingly "Where she'd lost her parents" and "If she was alone". Even little Charlotte could figure trouble when she saw it, so she came close to running off back towards home when one of the Muggle men grabbed her.
For a moment, it seemed like Charlotte was done for. She would be eaten, or beaten, and maybe more after that, by these cruel, thuggish men. Then, in a flurry of black feathers and loud Cawing, Shaman flew in from a nearby post and scared the boys off.
Charlotte didn't waste any time going home after the incident, but she was left traumatized by her close encounter with Muggle-kind. Since that point, she has disliked them by principle, regardless of how much she may have matured mentally since then.
Of course, she was harshly scolded for running off on her own, but her parents wouldn't be so cruel as to punish her after such a harrowing experience.
---
Afterwards, she continued her magical education as normally as most Witches or Wizards from her home country. She studied beneath her parents, who passed on more than just the expected curriculum, but also imparted the knowledge gained through their respective fields.
Her mother was a duellist extraordinaire, with an exceptional win record across the years she was actively participating in Duels. She never did become a Champion, but placed in the finals and semi-finals of several prestigious events. She retired, moving from Britain to Australia in order to raise her daughter alongside her Husband in his family's household.
Her father, on the other hand, is a magical researcher. Studier of both the dark and light arts, he has made no amazing discoveries in his field yet, but could be considered one of the largest authorities in the indigenous arts of the Australian people. Behind the scenes, he is one of the foremost in the study of the Dark Arts as well, and is connected with several shady, underground resources across his country.
There were some incidents during Charlotte's educational period, fights, short little adventures, unique or interesting discoveries, but none of them are relevant to what has brought her to Britain on this date.
Her mother and father have gone on vacation from their Australia home, with their eyes set on several Slavic countries, and her mother suggested that perhaps Charlotte travel to Britain alongside them and help further her career there. Here, she has been able to meet with her mother's side of the family, and see some of the legendary magical sights in what qualifies as one of the largest magical communities in the world.
There's more, however. Her father tells her that there are Dark Wizards connected to some of his associates, living in the shadows of London. Supposedly, they have yet to contact him or his company, and there are worries that there may be a snitch among them. So, Charlotte is also to act as her Father's hand, investigating these "allies" and seeing if they are really so devoted to the cause after all.
If they aren't, it falls upon her to deliver the appropriate compensation for their betrayal. There is no need to describe what this implies, and Charlotte can only hope that she won't end up being dragged into something bothersome.
Wand Eleven-and-a-Quarter Inches, Hemlock, with a core of Dragon Heartstring.
Special Stuff Being from Australia, where there has never really been a major Dark Arts crisis, Charlotte's early access to Dark Arts knowledge gives her an inherent edge over many British Dark Wizards. Her father (and indeed her entire family), is very well established in Australian Dark Arts culture.
She was taught the Dark Arts alongside her traditional magical education, and in comparison to the pathetic collection of remaining Dark Wizards in the western world, she could be said to be in a completely different league.
She's no Voldemort, obviously, just her high Dark Arts affinity and actual education in the field puts her on an imbalanced playing field relative to British practitioners. Importantly, she is capable of preforming what is considered an Illegal curse in the duelling world, the Strangulation Curse, as well as the completely Illegal Unforgivable Curses.
Among them, she possesses the most affinity for Cruciatus, although she is more than capable of preforming the other two if necessary.
Age: 19 Occupation: Time Traveller Personality: Alicia is an adaptable, opportunistic creature with exceptional charisma and literary ability, stemming from a complete and extensive education in a safe learning enviroment. She's no stranger to boredom, and the methods of combating it, but has never once faced actual adversity beyond the simple, mundane troubles of day-to-day life.
Her creative abilities are higher than most, and her devotion to the creation of imaginary worlds has left her proficient in the arts of daydreaming and improvisation. She is, however, a troublesomely free-spirited girl, who insistently puts herself at the forefront of any group or situation. Her inherent strangeness possesses a certain quirky draw to it, which she uses to gather others around her and take charge. She rarely looks before bursting headfirst into danger, often relying on those around her to keep her out of trouble.
Rather than seeking the One True Outcome, she is the sort of person who will look for innumerable possible solutions to the same, simple problem. She likes to do her own thing, move at her own pace, and reject whatever predetermined "Truth" is present in any equation. Given this, it's natural that her ultimate enemy is Mathematics, which she will avoid like the plague wherever applicable.
While she makes a big show of being strong, and never showing any signs of weakness, she is in fact a weak person. She can't handle any excessive amount of stress or emotional strife, and instead decides to ignore it completely rather than dealing with it. She'll run from her problems till the end of the world if she's allowed, and will inevitably break down if she's ever forced to face them directly.
Alicia comes from an indescribably faraway future, an Utopian territory of Earth where all are happy and there is virtually no conflict. Technology rivals the power of gods, and travelling through space and time is like child's play to all. Alicia is from a family of time travellers, so she was destined to join their ranks when she grew older. However, before she could obtain her license, she was required to attend basic education and produce at least one meaningful work before graduating.
She went to school, like any other, but found herself terribly bored by the regularity of it all. She couldn't help but seek more from her life, so she formed the Literature Club, and set about working with her other club members to create a masterpiece.
It was a great success.
But, Alicia would never be happy with just that. No matter how much she did with herself, and no matter how many fictional scenarios she conquered, she simply could not sate her lust for adventure. So, one day, she simply ran away from it all, and was never seen again by the public eye.
