A young boy was playing in a huge backyard near a mansion. He fell through a hole in the ground and saw a monstrous looking bat flying towards him. His father lowered down into the well and helped him out. "Will we need a doctor, sir?" the family butler, (Alfred was the name that appeared in their heads.)
"No, Alfred..he'll be alright. He just fell, and what do I always say, Bruce? We fall so we can learn to pick ourselves up."
They were on some sort of train next, and the boy's father was telling him 'Gotham City has given a lot to our family, Bruce. Never forget to be mindful of that, and care for those less fortunate than the Wayne family."
From what they were seeing, this world was a LOT more technologically advanced than Amestris or any of the other countries.
They saw the boy walking down an alley from a movie theater with his mother and father., a man approached them and brandished a gun and shot the mother and father dead before running off. The boy appeared horrified before he fell to his knees and let tears flow down his cheeks, he appeared to look up through the mirror with a mixture of utter rage and sorrow.
The name "Bruce Wayne" appeared in their heads as the boy was shown as a teenager, violently attacking other kids who made fun of him and his perceived lack of 'real parents'. He was shown as a man undergoing training in multiple ways of unarmed combat, many of them appearing similar to Ed and Al's training with Teacher.
"I know the rage that drives you, that unshakable anger strangling the grief. A vigilante is just a man lost in the scramble for his own gratification. He can be destroyed, or locked up. But if you make yourself more than just a man, if you devote yourself to an ideal, and if they can't stop you, then you become something else entirely." Bruce's teacher was shown telling him.
"What's that?" Bruce asked.
His teacher turned to him and whispered: "A legend."
He was shown undergoing brutal training that was just as unforgiving as Izumi's with the boys. "To manipulate the fears of others, you must become fear, an unstoppable demon in the minds of your opponents.
A man wearing a dark cowl and cape with a dark grey uniform with a bat-symbol on it, and white slits for eyes, was shown dropping in the midst of a large crowd of thugs armed with pipes and shotguns, in Gotham's streets.
"Holy crap! It's the Batman! He's real!" A man said slowly backing away in fear. One of the thugs charged and got his legs swept out from underneath him. Another attempted to attack with a pipe from behind and without even looking, 'Batman' smashed his nose with his elbow. "I'll take him on! You all stay outta my way!" An incredibly large and muscular man wearing a tank top approached with a large plank of wood with a nail in it.
Batman's white slits narrowed as he ducked under a swing and kicked the side of the bruiser's knee, causing bone to protrude in a compound fracture. "GAAARGH!" the thug fell like a sack of potatoes, crying.
One of the others attacked and Batman twisted one of their arms behind their back before kicking them into a dumpster.
