@Grey

It does, no only simply bothered to check.
Network Journal, 1

I was ordered by my mentor to start this thing. I do not know how putting my thought process on the paper can help with the problems she thinks I have. In the end, orders are orders. I’ll update this journal on a weekly basis, describing my previous encounters and, for some reason, my daily life outside the mask. I don’t think this is such a good idea.

Dragoon. I am perfectly sure this is what on everyone’s mind. I took part in the whole takedown, but unfortunately, I was preoccupied with my mentor at the time, taking care of tasks other than the main battle itself. I did watch the recordings, though, and those are interesting, to say at least. It’s uncommon for a heavy-hitter of such caliber to be taken down not by a professional hero or even a team, but by a group of super-powered teen who seem to be somewhere around my age.

However, I find the whole clash troubling. I have seen power - that’s true - but without finesse. I may have refused my past, but some lessons still linger, ingrained into my core. And the basic one of them is that power without a direction or control always ends with a calamity. I hope this is simply me being paranoid again.

I should never let Nucleus read those words.

The latest development was proven to be worthwhile. It seems that after the whole Dragoon fiasco, Lodestar decided to take all affiliated under her wing. I decided to join on this venture, if only to let Nucleus have eyes and ears inside the team. It seems that she is somewhat troubled with that new hero, Swarm. I must admit that I understand how she feels: the girl’s power has a lot of potential, but her motives are not clear yet. I am to keep an eye on her for the time being.

Also, according to Nucleus, “it will good to have you communicate with other teenagers.” I am unsure how to take this.

Alea iacta est. The die is cast. I now have a task of finding and gathering super-powered individuals for the Lodestar’s team. It proved to be quite a challenging task, but I didn’t hone my detective skills for nothing. I safely contacted Guardians-affiliated supers, but finding Swarm was harder. I still found a solution: a simply sign seemed to be effective, just how I predicted.

I don’t know why my mentor stated laughing after I told her about my progress. In the end, the team was complete. I don’t know many of them, despite the occasional team-ups, but I’m sure that the power lies in numbers. And yet, I fill a bit pessimistic about the whole ordeal: we are so different, after all,

P.S. I should order some bug spray later. And holy water.

@Liliya

Does this mean I can allegedly claim to know your secret identity in my "Network Journal"?
I see. I will keep this in mind. I also wanted to ask about other characters' opinion on Network. You see, I'm in the middle of writing his journal.

"Found a bug in my room today. As in, literally bug. Had to dispose of. Getting rusty. Must remember. She has eyes everywhere. Have to keep vigilant. Haven't slept for three days now. Bugs are watching."
If no one minds, I'll have Network being paranoid of virtually anyone on the team to the various degrees.
@RaijinslayerBah! Needless theatrics! Antagonist is the name for our villain! It's short and to the point.
@GreyKnows about Swarm's capabilities. 2 millions of insects per person on this planet. Must create an algorithm. Map regular patrol routes. Check the native species of bugs. Saves energy. More homework to prepare. Good. Keeps mind sharp. Saves energy, too.

Probably the most logical outcome. Most likely what Network did.

In other words, I dig it. He is such a dork that he could do something like this.
@Joshie
I think that Network would be the kind of a guy to just suddenly call everyone one day, giving them the location of his hideout and inviting them to the team. As in, something like this.

A call from a hidden number.

“Hello?”

“It’s Network. I’m with Nucleus. I’m sending the location on your phone. Come there at 0800 sharp. I’ll be waiting.”

And then, he hangs on them and calls another person on his list. No explanation. No questions. Nothing. It's like I said: social skills of a stone.
