You and me both.

I'll write up the general IC intro anyway, just in case.

Basic Plot

An rp based of the lore of Warhammer 40,000, diverging during the Great Crusade.

The Emperor is gone, disappearing into the warp in a confrontation that lost humanity its greatest leader while saving its soul. Due to a combination of genuine 'what will be best' infighting and flaring ambitions, the Imperium fractured into small powers ruled by the Emperor's sons, the Primachs. Having the secrets of their creation revealed to them, the Primachs learned the painstaking process to create heirs of their own, a generation of scions to help rule what was once their father's realm.

The warp has been greatly weakened by the Emperor's last actions, travel through it is safer, while a new generation of human vessels has begun to make limited use of the webway. Such technology is still exceedingly rare.

Players will take on the role of one of the Primach 'dynasties' approximately 50 years after the disappearance of the Emperor, the rp starting with a conclave marking the date, each year, where the Primachs meet under terms of no hostility. Players may also choose to play alien factions, however, the same style is required, rather than a true 'nation rp' the players are instead in control of prominent members of said faction, and act through them.

If there's any interest for this, I'll post up the full fluff into I have, as well as getting to work on an OOC.
@Jbcool
I'm currently writing the regimental commissar, in case anyone had the same idea.

I'll work on a sanctioned psyker character then, rather than have two commissar pcs running around, even if mine was a cadet.

Does this make sense to everyone?

Crystal Clear

There is no regiment cobbled together to form a spearhead, methinks you are mistaking/misreading things, mein freund.

Also, there are any number of composite/mixed regiments in the Guard, if every one of them had an Acolyte to watch over them it would be a vast waste of resources.

I think I may have misinterpreted 'decimated' and all that.

I can think of all sorts of reasons why an acolyte might be assigned to a regiment, either from the Ordo Xenos or the Militarum. Not to say every regiment has one, but that 'ours' could. But, I'm not going to try and force a character you don't want :) Simples.

Now to write a character.
@Tenlock Oh you are free to play a sanctioned psyker in a regiment, but as far as being anything to do with the Inquisition...that is a no-no. This is, as the title suggests, a Guard RP. We have no time for the Inquisition here.

I would have thought a regiment cobbled together to form a spearhead would have been a top priority for the Ordo Militarum. Watchful agents to make sure guard who have already lost the bulk of their regiment don't get any independent ideas.

But, if you are really against the idea, I'll just run with the Commissar character, well, commissar acolyte.
Still room for one more? Would be quite interested in playing a commissar, or assigned inquisitorial acolyte of some description, the latter being a psyker.

Gotta keep an eye on those troublesome guardsmen.
