I didn't read through the whole thread but still wanted to gripe about something that bothers me sometimes in fights.

Glad to have that out of my system.

P.S.
Is it possible to be a half breed of a mythological creature?

Another skill. So they will not all be combat based. Lomen was glad that not all skills were combat based. This meant that he could make better use of his time towards skill based training and self improvement. This information put him into a good mood and seeing as how close he was to the cave he decided to whistle a bit.

The berries were a good snack as well but he would save some for later. It could possibly be used to catch other creatures since it was one of the most abundant food sources. Either way, it was a good day.

Also completely forgot, but do you have any hints on how to get blessings from gods? Personally I think it would be cool to be able to get the blessing of the beast god and either wind god or storm god. That way it could cause cool variations of evolved forms and would be interesting to see in general since people could be ogres, but have extremely different fighting styles based on their subspecies/blessings.

I didn't think too much of it, but I noticed there was no listed exp value for a horned rabbit. Also are their bonuses for Alphas, Subspecies, or Blessed Monsters? It was something that came across when looking at the exp values. If they are all the same, Great. If not I would like to know the approximations.

But mainly I just want to know the value of the horned rabbit for exp.

Food never tasted so good. In all of his memory, this was the most satisfying meal in existence. The brain and heart seemed to be especially tasty for an odd reason and while eating he heard he had learned 'Heavy Strike'. Lomen thought that he was given a skill based on his attacks and decided to try and become more well rounded with skills. With the new horn he could make more pin-point attacks, letting him learn vitals for the monsters he would have to hunt. A good hunt indeed.

Although it was a great moment, it would be sunset soon and Lomen remembered the stories of dangerous beasts that loom in the night. For now it would be best to get back to the cave. It would be a fun night and Lomen decided to tell Grampa Goblin all about his first hunt against a horned rabbit. He still was not sure if it was an alpha or not due to having seen only one rabbit, but he would probably be told by Grampa Goblin based on the horn. All in all, it was a good day, but he would have to start earlier tomorrow if he was to get more abilities and experience. He felt like there was a number that was important, but he would ask about that later. For now, he felt it was time to go home and enjoy the night.

Along the way, he decided that he would pick some berries and see if there were any leaves or tree vines sturdy enough to make rope, netting, or primal clothing out off. It would be good for those cold nights to possibly have more than a loin cloth.

Before I post, what time of the day is it? I want to know if there is enough time for another hunt or if it is close to dark. Timing is key and I don't want to be dealing with any Kings of the Mountain right now.

A charge. Obviously the most dangerous attack the rabbit appeared to use. Although it was dangerous, the fact it was partially blind form the last strike gave Lomen the perfect chance. It was a moment where the blow must be to the final point where the rabbit couldn't fight back as ferociously, the legs. All the rabbit's power seemed to reside in its legs so at least one must be destroyed to possibly kill the rabbit at best or at least injure the rabbit enough so it cannot escape more lethal blows.

With the rabbit's charge, Lomen kept his shield to protect his body, sidestepping into the rabbit's new blind spot thanks to an injured eye and moved a bit forward in a small crescent path again to make sure the rabbit couldn't turn and strike him. He then strikes at the rabbits hind legs, hoping it would be enough to at least prevent escape and possibly be enough to kill the animal. Plus he felt that this rabbit would taste amazing after it was dead and looked forward to the meal.

The strike had effect, that is all that was important. Lomen knew this was his best shot to attack so he dashed in a crescent shaped path in order to prevent the rabbit from dashing straight towards him and went to strike at the rabbits eyes. In order to survive he had to be on the offensive, but he wasn't stupid as he held up the shield in front of his body as he advanced. His full body tingled in excitement, this was a new feeling, a real battle to the death.

Although with the new excitement, he knew that one misstep would be the end for him. This rabbit was sturdy so wounding it and taking away it's ability to fight back was key in Lomen's mind. Even though it sounded like a good plan on paper, in order to pull it off, he would also have to do his best to not get injured by the rabbit. The goal was to make the battle tilt farther and farther to his favor until he had won. Until then, he had to concentrate on the enemy and prevent his own death.
