Prepare for the text drop... Next post, or maybe the one after. :P
Tai Yang

Some time later, Yui would hear a knock on her door, as Tai Yang gently rapped a hand upon the frame.

He kept his voice low. 'No need to be obnoxious, she can hear.' He thought as he spoke. "I am Tai Yang. If now is alright with you, I would enter." And then he stood, patiently by her door. His hands were clasped behind his back, and a light black sleeveless Gi top was around his chest, in addition to the normal garb of his appearance.
Yar! I return. Honestly, I think Tai Yang could teach an entire class on just Meditation*. Also, if you wanted him to be the history teacher, he would have to be the ancient history teacher, as he knows nothing about the past seven centuries compared to the people who are old enough to have been around for several of those centuries. Assistant Gym is fine, though.

*Already got the first three lessons planned. Perhaps he could demonstrate the first to Yui to show what he has to offer?
I'm making absolutely sure I know where Tai Yang stands before posting with him. Also, I is tired, I shall return on the morrow to discuss.
Well, we could spin his meditation/martial arts class that way, but Tai Yang hasn't met most supernatural types, having only been a part of the larger world for a very short time. Aaaand his understanding of human physiology is archaic from like the 13th century.

And yeah, ninja janitor is a cool idea.. Might roll that up.
What kind of teaching position would he be offered?

I presume if asked/he proposed it, he would offer mixed meditation/martial arts courses.

We should totally make a course list. Right now the offered courses would be.. Sex Ed, Cooking, Gym, Meditation/Martial Arts, and Sports. Huh.. I suppose calculus isn't likely to stop a rampaging supernatural.

I should totally make a completely boring normal human professor who is passionate about calculus.
It makes sense that this school would have lots of classes that only get one or two students.

For example, the Ethics of Mind Reading would be an absolutely useless course for most students, but would be vital for those one or two gifted with it.

Tai Yang could take any amount of classes on "Learn how to use Fire Manipulation without killing everyone", but that will not help him. But it'd be a good class for those with fire manipulation, or those with latent abilities for fire manipulation.
Hmm... Perhaps he could be a Adjutant, first year teaching? As in, he teaches one class for first year students, due the fact that he is very learned in battle and meditation/philosophy. But due to his shortcomings in other areas, he takes the other classes alongside the students. I think that would allow us to get the best of both worlds, allowing him to explore and learn to improve himself and introduce himself to the modern world, while also passing on the things he is good at.

Due to his backstory, he was very much a big fish in a small pond, thus he's never experienced the like of fighting espers or the like.

This could really roll as a teacher too, if you wanted him to be, but I'd rather him be a student. If he sounds too powerful or something for a student, we could just roll that the dragon is drawing a lot of his power off to regenerate, so he's currently weaker.

Mmm.. Ah, I was under the impression that the Zoras were good at evolving, as established by the Rito. I also remember the Zora Suit link having an increased vulnerability to cold in TP. However, I understand it's not part of the established mythos nor of the theme you're trying to set, so I wish you luck and shall take my exit.
