I'm using the time to work on my NPC fight. I think it'll clock in at about 1500 words.
After looking at the profiles and seeing players still have natrelmon in the 15 ranges sometimes, I'm tempted to bring back my duo Ice Bunnies named after "gods" from Zoroastrianism.
Happy Holidays. :P
"Ah! I apologize, how silly of me not to notice." Ultra-Dimension bowed a little as Guls commented on his reason for using the sword. "I often forget about the technological devices I use being unique to me, so natural their use has become."

"I have a device for reducing the lethality of my blade. Allow me to show you." Ultra-Dimension raised his left arm, and with his right hand, popped free a panel, the underside of the panel becoming a screen, while the revealed circuitry looked reminiscent of a keyboard. A few buttons were pressed. "If you're interested, I could try and manufacture a version for your blade, if you are willing to entrust it to me."

Towards the end of his statement, a high pitched, keen whistling noise could be heard before, with a resplendent crash, what resembled a somewhat long and thin bomb, almost like a missile, slammed through the roof, making a small circular hole before smashing into the floor, only the rear half above ground level.

Outside, the announcer could be heard yelling, "MY ROOF!?!" For those currently looking out the window at him, he was falling to his knees and clutching his hair in frustration, which luckily kept the microphone out of direct line of fire for his scream of despair.

Ultra-Dimension seemed to pause for a few moments. While his mask was as impassive as ever, one could almost imagine the being inside mulling over the implications of what he had just done. A few more buttons were pressed.

A few moments later, another missile slammed into the grass a few yards from the announcer. This time, the top of the missile, after it landed, opened up, revealing a neatly stacked and bound together pile of cash, and a display with the names of local emergency construction contractors.

"Er... Ahem, as I was saying...." Ultra-Dimension coughed slightly awkwardly before walking over to the missile in the room. He drew his blade dramatically, reacquiring his flair, before stabbing it into the missile longways so that the blade went into it like it was reentering its scabbard.

"Lock Acquired. Activating Super Galaxy Samurai Nebula Rebound System." A dispassionate female AI voice chimed in.

Ultra-Dimension ripped free his blade from the missile, tearing bits of it out, and his blade now had strange segmented devices attached. Almost like scales, or vertebrata in their segmentation, they were attached to the blade by magnetic clamps on the rearward edge of the katana, and could be seen to be able to fit together over the edge like beaks. The scales shifted back and forth experimentally once or twice, before sealing together over the blade, the seams glowing a sizzling neon green. "System Engaged."

It now resembled a practice sword or a sheathed blade more than a normal sword, and it was now very much blunt.

"The system protects the edge, and has a cushioning system in case it hits a target so hard that the blunt force trauma is deforming the flesh to a dangerous degree." Ultra-Dimension politely presented the blade hilt first, as though it still had an edge, to Guls for his inspection, if he so desired.

On one hand, Guls deception seemed to have fooled Ultra-Dimension completely. On the other hand, he had admitted to being a sword aficionado, or at least, close enough, to another sword aficionado.
I think that if there are any NPC vs NPC fights, they should be allowed in to replace one of those two. But that probably opens up one slot at most.
Apologies it took me so long, Guild kept being down. :/
Listening keenly to Gul and David's exchange, another fighter stepped forth. "Hmm.... Guls, if I may have a moment of your time?" Ultra-Dimension strode with a bearing of purpose over to the taller warrior, if you went by eye level. Ultra-Dimension kept his neck mostly stiff, but looked up slightly so that Guls could tell that even through Ultra-Dimension's visor, Ultra-Dimension was looking him in the eye.

"Your bearing reminds me of a certain Green Swordsman I've heard about, who really cleaned up Area 89 during the Belurel Riots. Might you be the same person?" The helmet tilted slightly in question, before Ultra-Dimension extended a hand for a shake. "If so, I'd like to thank you. I would have loved to assist you if I had been on Earth at the time of that crisis."

If Guls showed interest and admitted to being the Green Swordsman, Ultra-Dimension had one more line for him. "However, as I analyzed the footage, I noticed that you seem to be deadlier without the sword than with. As a samurai's sword is his honor and his strength, his sign of loyalty and tool of justice, I'll admit to being puzzled. If my question is not too intrusive, why do you wield the sword?"

"Heh, none save the one's I've already asked that you haven't answered." Drevayne commented with a wave, not paying much attention to the map. He know his way round the empire, he'd walked half of it.

"But I'll say it again cause I wasn't quite clear. You've banded an adventuring crew together, but you haven't stated the adventure. Rightabouts now, you look like a merchant, if you catch my drift, heh."

"Which of these places," Drevayne finally put a glance and a finger to the map, pointing at each city in turn, "Do you intend on finding a fire in need of blades to quench it? Or we just guarding the boat being merchants till we find a job?"
Well, no insult to Fenro, but I hope to fight Chikori in the third round, already got plans. Now I just need plans for David. :P
Bottom left, the green one.

Techniques (a list of fighting techniques at their disposal, use the following technique format for custom techniques)
Name: SUPER GALAXY SAMURAI BLACK HOOOOOOOOLE!
Type: Tech
Description: Pressing the black trigger on his katana causing it go glow black, Ultra-Dimension parries enemy fire, energy blasts, lasers, and ki attacks, and the attacks stick to his blade and are absorbed! The blade keeps getting heavier and heavier as he tries to do this, to Ultra-Dimension's peril if he tries to absorb an attack too big.
Required Power Level: You need to be holding Ultra-Dimension's sword, and have enough strength to keep holding it.

Name: SUPER GALAXY SAMURAI SUPER-NOVA SLAAAAAAAAAASH!
Type: Combination/Tech
Description: Charging his sheath up with power, either by charging it up himself or sheathing his blade after stealing power with Black Hole mode, Ultra-Dimension adopts a sword draw stance, save that he keeps his "drawing" hand, about a foot in front of the hilt. Pressing the red button on the sheath with his other hand, the charged energy explodes, sending the sword into his hand, and he swings with the motion of this explosion, unleashing a devastatingly powerful slash.
Required Power Level: 200 to perform it without stolen energy.

Name: SUPER GALAXY SAMURAI JUSTICE NOVA STAR REVIVAAAAAAAAAL!
Type: Ki/Tech
Description: Sheathing a charged blade (via Black Hole technique) and pressing the white button on the sheath, the energy flows into his suit, repairing it and powering it up, causing it to light up like a Christmas Tree on drugs to alert everyone he's "I HAVE GONE BEYOND THE LIMITS OF MORTALKIND, JUSTICE IS NIGH, EVILDOERS!"
Required Power Level: You've gotta have the suit and sheath.

Personality: Ultra-Dimension is a bit, over the top, to say the least. Phil Shiftly loves to put on a good show, and in the Ultra-Dimension persona, he puts on his best ham. Outside of his Samurai suit, he's a bit more reserved, but not too much. Ultra-Dimension, for all his bragging, knows his limits, and genuinely cares about the things he spouts. Justice, equality, and heart, they matter to him, and he endeavors to put them to the forefront in such a simple manner children can understand, so that maybe adults can too.
History: Phil Shiftly loved Super Sentai style anime as he grew up, and so, he decided to train as a Samurai of Justice!, despite being not the least bit Japanese. Without a master to train him and without being terribly physically talented, he could only progress so far. So he turned to what he was naturally good at, rather than what he was forcing himself to learn. Technology. Taking to the stars and adventuring across the galaxy, Phil discovered unusual energy sources and strange metals as he adventured across the galaxy. Eventually, he was able to produce his masterpiece, the SUPER GALAXY SAMURAI SUIT!

Now in his alter-ego of Ultra-Dimension, he doesn't really care about winning the wish. Nothing he wants for the world can be granted by a simple wish. Instead, he wishes to use the tournament to show children of all ages the POWER OF JUSTICE!
Other: He has a SPAACE! ship.
