Might be a few days before I can reply to everyone, I apologize. Moving 250 miles for an internship this weekend and I start tomorrow, but I'll get to everyone ASAP!

Why must autocorrect ruin things in a way that is not even correct?

You guys with accepted characters are welcome to start working on IC posts if you like, or if you need some help on how to bring your character in on the action then feel free to do some brainstorming on that as well in the OOC
@Gate Keeper Awesome! Well take your time with the CS, looking forward to seeing it. There is quite a bit of lore to get through, so to make your life easier I would just stick to the Dragon Age: Inquisition area of the wiki. It should provide enough background and clicking on the links should fill in enough info for different races/nationalities and such. If you have any questions feel free to PM either of us!
Holy moly, we got a nibble on our line :D

@Gate Keeper if you are interested but don't know much about Dragon Age, I would start with the Dragon Age wikia: dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Inquisition
Hello all, recently my friend @Tuxedo Fox and I got a Dragon Age: Inquisition roleplay up and running. At first there were several people who were interested but unfortunately once we got the OOC up those folks seemed to disappear. So what we are looking for here is anyone who would be interested in giving the roleplay a look. It's always open for more characters, the more the merrier. This is a recruitment thread, we are trying to revive it and get it off the ground. Here is a snip of what the rp is about:

The year is 9:40 Dragon and like most periods in the history of Thedas this too is a tumultuous one. Still reeling from the destruction of not only the Chantry in Kirkwall but the Grand Cleric herself both mages and templars war throughout the lands killing innocent and guilty alike. Circles have been abandoned, oaths have been broken, and blood has been spilt. Through the sea of Chaos the recently appointed Divine Justinia has done her best to push back against the seemingly collapsing age old orders of both Mage and Templars.

Aware of just how much weight her actions carried the brilliant Justinia not only brought back the ancient order of the Inquisition, headed by some of her best and most trusted agents, but she also arranged for a Conclave to take place-a meeting on neutral ground where both Templar, Mage, and Chantry could come together in hopes of finding a peaceful solution to the ever growing animosity between the trio. Perhaps most surprising of all is how she was even able to convince the two groups to meet, no doubt not only was she wise and benevolent but a master manipulator of the game both in and outside of Orlais. Set to take place in just a few days Justinia herself has decided to preside over these peace talks in hopes of a more positive outcome- for one often remembers their place when face to face with the Divine. In these troubling times Justinia's actions not only bring hope to a fearful populace but also fuel the desire for real change.

But our story does not take place here, our tale begins with a lone dwarf shivering in the night leagues away.

Basically, this roleplay is about those members of the Inquisition that were unseen in the game. Those that would do the various "War Table" missions, the little people that make it all possible. That is where our characters come in, whether drafted into the Inquisition at its rebirth or joining it shortly thereafter.

If you think you'd be interested, take a peek at the OOC. We'd love to have you along for the journey.

The occupation of a bard was a deceiving one. To those unknowing, Erika appeared as an entertainer. With her brilliant, ornate Orlesian gown in which she strummed a lute and sang softly for a group of Val Royeaux aristocrats as they danced without a care, she seemed to simply be a part of the evening’s musical entertainment. However, to the trained eye, a spy could be found prying for information.

It was silly, really, how carelessly these Orlesian nobles seemed to let slip their most secret information. An underground shipment of weapons, you say? Templars making deals with lyrium, hm? Or perhaps Erika had simply gotten too good at her job. She never asked why her clients wanted the information they requested, she simply did her job and took her gold at the end of the night.

It would appear that Erika had forgotten the original intention behind her work, the real reason she had left home. For now, all she did was lurk in the shadows to turn Val Royeaux’s top aristocracy against one another. Once upon a time, she had wanted to make a change, do something that would make her parents proud. She feared now that she had lost that desire.

The party wound down, and Erika had the information she needed. Her lute was tucked away in its case and she exited the building as if she were never there. As she turned a corner in an alleyway, her hand found the dagger that swung softly at her hip. Pulling it from the sheath, she turned and pushed a dark figure behind her against a wall.

“Who are you and what do you want?” She demanded.

The hooded figure put its hands up in a non-threatening gesture, and remained calm.

“Erika, put the dagger down.” A familiar voice came from behind a hooded face.

“Leliana? What in Andraste’s name are you doing here?” Erika questioned, releasing the woman and putting her dagger back in its sheath. Erika had not only trained some with Leliana around Val Royeaux, but when she was able to find more honorable work with the Chantry, it was Leliana who gave her the assignments.

“I’m here to offer you a position, Erika.” She said, handing her a piece of paper.

Erika stared down at the piece of paper, which held nothing more than an insignia of which she had never seen before. “What is this?” Her fingers traced the shiny gold-stamped paper as she looked at it.

“Your chance to do something better. Join the Inquisition.”

It had been several months now, and the days of lurking around the shadows of Val Royeaux seemed far away to Erika. In its infancy, the Inquisition was little more than a handful of people, all of various skills, commissioned by the Divine to remain at the ready should things between the Mages and the Templars escalate any further. Now that tensions between the two groups have in fact risen, Justinia has made sure the Inquisition has been steadily growing in the days leading up to the Conclave. That means investigating things of interest that have been neglected due to the war throughout Thedas.

One of these investigations founds its way to Erika’s assignment list, as she now navigates through the soggy forest of the Storm Coast as a soft rain thuds ever so constantly against her hooded robe. Red lyrium. Nasty stuff, it is. Seems like the Inquisition wants to get to the bottom of who’s mining it and for what purpose and have it destroyed before any more of it is used for who the hell knows what.

That’s where the members of the espionage and spy division come in, under the orders of none other than Leliana herself. The point here is to not draw a lot of unwanted attention. Get the information the Inquisition needs about who’s mining the Lyrium and why, and then destroy the stuff without leaving a trace that they were there.

The anticipation of the mission almost made Erika forget about the bone chilling cold that came behind the rain. Almost. A shiver ran down her spine as she continued through the wet forest, moving carefully as she did so. Surely she was almost there… her instructions were to meet another member right about…

Erika emerged from the thick tree line, pushing branches out of her face in order to move into the clearing. Once she didn’t have pine needles poking at her eyes, she could see a dwarf standing with a mace and shield at the ready, eyes trained on her.

“Flint!” She said, reluctantly pulling the hood from her head. “Put down the mace crazy, we’ve got work to do friend.” Erika said with a grin. She reached around her back and drew her longbow, keeping one arrow ready should she need it.

“I don’t suppose you’ve seen any crazy lyrium junky miners around, have ya?” She asked with a raised eyebrow. “No? Good, hopefully we can find that mine and get in and out without much trouble. You know how the boss likes it, nice and tidy.”

They didn’t have much time for pleasantries at the moment, they could share a drink and celebrate a mission gone well later. Now, they needed to move while they had the cover of night to their advantage. Erika headed towards a cave nearby that was, if her information was correct, part of a cave system that would lead them to the lyrium mine without being detected, even with Flint’s less than stealthy approach to things.
Interested in a Bioshock roleplay perhaps? @Rica
I'll try to get a post up today~
"Family, right." Kasai said, scratching the back of her neck a little nervously with one hand as they made their way through the outer-most ring of the city. Family introductions hadn't exactly been discussed, and the topic made Kasai a little uneasy. Their relationship had already been hard enough, even though now they were on to the good bits. Having to pass the family exam wasn't something she thought she would have to deal with yet, but Kasai swallowed the lump in her throat and nodded.

"Sounds like fun. Let's just stop in with them first then." She said as she continued to look around the inner workings of Ba Sing Se. The outer ring bared a resemblance to Republic City's poorer neighborhoods, but she still found plenty to wander at nonetheless. Kasai couldn't help but think of Avani's family. Were they all as intense as she was? If they were, Kasai might not survive this trip. Then again, Avani herself said she didn't know how they would react to them as a couple, so maybe Kasai would get introduced as some sort of traveling companion instead. Not that that was quite how she wanted to be introduced either.

Regardless, they were here and it was happening. Kasai was going to suck it up and put on a smile and handle it the best way she could. It took them a little while to get out of the crowded lower district, but they eventually were let to pass into the middle ring. It seemed like there were a lot of residents from the lower ring who tried to flood the gate when it was opened for Avani and Kasai, but there were guards to make sure they didn't get through. Kasai wondered why it was so pertinent that they couldn't go into the next district, but it seemed very serious.

The walls they entered now held a very nice and quaint feel within. There were merchants on the sides of the brick-lined streets and people bustling around on the sidewalks. It was quite a change from just a few meters back in the outer edge of Ba Sing Se, and an immediate one at that.

"So, this is where you grew up, huh?" Kasai poked Avani. "Not going to run into any crazy ex-girlfriends are we?" She teased with a laugh. "'Cause I didn't plan on getting into any fights today."
I'm still here, by the way. Just didn't think another post for my character was warranted yet so I've been lurking in the shadows. Time skip sounds good to me
