I cannot - for the life of me - manage to manually turn off my PS4 by pressing the button. My damn cat, however, manages to hit it every single she even bypasses the console.

My kids found an old Barbie TV from when I was a kid - you know, the kind that was huge and boxy with a tiny-ass screen - and my daughter said "No, mommy, TV's are flat." Another parenting fail.

My kids don't understand what a (computer) mouse is or how to use it. They keep poking and swiping at my monitor. I have failed as a parent.

I've been doing Dragon Cave forever, so I've given up on that way ages ago. I use this "click site" that you might find useful, as well. If you're one of (or some of) the people that feel that it's cheating to use a click site, then ... Fair enough.

If you wanna make some trades or something, have a look at my scroll.
@Vandy Don't worry 'bout it. I'm pretty used to it by now. I've been roleplaying for... well, more than a decade and most of the people I roleplay with are from across the Atlantic so it happens a lot. I'm in GMT+1 - in Denmark.

I'll go in thinking mode about the calenders and currency, but I'll make my character sheet my first (RP) priority (obviously, life comes first).
@The Mad Hatter I'm pretty sure I said "Kederak, the southern continent" a couple of times in the history section. In any case, once the map is finished it will be much easier.

You did, yes, but I don't see anything that points as to where it is other than it being "southern". Again, it might just be me being blind. But I also meant that you should, perhaps, add it as a Nation? Of course, that is entirely up to you, but I just feel like that would make it easier to find the information than having to search through the History.

With physical drawbacks and such for mixed breeds I honestly haven't given it much thought. I would imagine that they would be fertile though because the Orlvan exist because of multiple generations of mixed breeding. If you want make a mixed character I'll leave it up to you when it comes to physical differences and I'll just make sure they don't seem to ridiculous.

All right. Seems good to me.

As for racism it can be said that many of the other races resent human rule. Humans are seen as assholes who take whatever they want, elves are snooty jerks who think they are better than everyone or are hippies. Dwarves are unintelligent brutes, Orcs are barbarians who only want to kill and enslave people and Orlvan are a bunch of fanatic nutjobs either due to Castus being an Orlvan or Estlam starting in Orderak. (The middle east)

Does that answer your question?

Yes, that answers it perfectly. Thank you very much :)

So... I suppose this world uses the same time system as we do (Year=12 months, Month=30/31 days, Week=7 days, Day=24 hours and so on), that the months and weekdays have the same names and such? I'm only asking because I've seen fantasy worlds where this is not the case and I wanted to make sure...
And on that note, I suppose that they use the same measuring systems, as well? And temperature... There is also the matter of currency...
I guess that unless it's otherwise stated, it's the same, right?
Kederak is the southern continent, think Oriast=Europe and Kederak=Africa.

Oh, all right. Maybe you should add that to the OP, just to avoid future confusion :)

Mixed breeds are possible but they would be faced with pretty heavy racism.

That's good to know, but I meant consequences in a more physical sense than racism. I mean stuff like... Mules. (Nearly) All mules are sterile (with a few, very rare exceptions of Mollies (female mule) turning out to be fertile). The same goes for male Ligers or Tions or whatever the f*ck those things are called (though I think it has to do with what race is which sex). Would/could there be physical consequences of that kind? Or perhaps any advantages?
Also, would it be harder for a couple of differing race to conceive a child? Again, using Mules/Hinnies as an example, it is significantly harder to "make" a Hinny (stallion+jenny (male horse+female donkey)) than it is to make a Mule, because the donkey has a lower amount of chromosomes than the horse.
(Sorry for the small biology lesson >.>)

Magic users can definitely master more than type of magic, in fact Florian Serrer is currently the most powerful Wizard alive and uses all forms of magic.

Great to know and sorry if it already said so in the OP but I was too blind/stupid to find it :)

Non humans living in Oriast are treated differently depending on what kingdom they live in though only humans are nobles across the board. So Raliven treats elves and such pretty well and even allows them to own businesses while Gentland treats them like shit. There are racist people all over the world no matter if they are human, elf, etc...

All right. Human nobles only. Good to know.
So, about the racism... What I meant to ask was how the general outlook on the fact that humans are the ones in "control" is by the other races? And the human race's general view of the other races. Or something along those lines.
Like, does the other races recent the human race as a whole for being the "better" race or something like that? I know there would obviously be diversity in opinions, but I'm asking for more of a stereotype than anything else, really. Like the basic view on Muslims, where I come from, is that they're a bunch of good-for-nothing free-loaders who take advantage of our great welfare and then complain about not getting enough, even though that is far from how all of them are (in fact, only a "few" are like that).

.:EDIT:.
... Sorry for being "that guy". Really, I am.
I'll just drop in to show my interest and ask a few simple questions;

Where, exactly, would Kederak be? Since you mention Elves being the dominant race there, I was just wondering. I don't see it mentioned in any of the Nations (though it may just be me being blind).

What is your stance on the concept of mixed breeds? I know there are Orlvan, but I mean more in the sense of half-breeds. Is cross-species breeding possible? If so, does it have any consequences? And so on...

Magic; is it possible for a Magic-user to use multiple types/brands/kinds of magic? Can someone be proficient in both Healing and Warden magic? Will this affect how and how well they use either of the magic types? Is it easier to "master" magic types that are closer in nature; i.e. Warden and Elemental is easier to "master" together than Enchanting and Healing magic.

You mention that the Human race has "a vast feudal society in which nobles are rulers"; does this mean that the other races are under the same noblemen rulers or do they have their own societal determination of who gets to be in charge? If they do follow the human Kings, what is the general culturally/racially decided view on this? Is it only humans that can be nobles, or are there nobles of other races as well?
Just wanted to let y'all know that I'm still roaming about, ask whether you guys are still here and wish you all a Merry Christmas.

So...

I'm still here. Are you?

And

Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope you get everything you wish for and that the yuletide spirit will bring you serenity and joy!
Hey, guys. I just wanted to let you know, especially @Exit, that I'm still interested in joining this, if I'm allowed to.
I'm not dead, I just sort of got close. I was in an accident... I'm somewhat fine, though. I got away with just a couple of broken ribs, some minor damage to my intestine, a shitload of scratches and a totaled car. At least there was no damage to my spleen, which I actually just got a new one of (or, well, a used one, really) a couple of years ago because of another accident I had as a kid (or teenager, whatever).

So, I'd like to join, if that's cool with everyone. Things might be a bit slow the first couple of months, but I'll try my best to get back into it.
Oh. I've got to hurry up and finish my sheet, it seems. I'll get right on that and I should have it finished and submitted by tonight (GMT+1).
@Exit
Thank you! I'll be a good person and start working on my CS as soon as I can; which means tonight after I tuck my daughter in.
Would you prefer a male or a female character?
@Exit
That's just fine. I'm a patient person. I'll wait however long it takes.
If I do get a spot, Altered Tundra mentioned that you still lack a Waterbender, but also two non-benders; what/which would you prefer that I play? I can do either, if you really "need" a Waterbender, but would rather do a non-bender, if it's all the same to you.
