"Yeah...", Nikolay answered Henry. When Henry began to walk past, he put one arm around the giant, and gave him a short comradely hug before a girl's shriek was heard reverberating through the air. As the bigger man went towards Hailey. She was having one of those episodes again, and the Russian only looked on as he figured that having too many people go to her could only make her anxiety worse.
Nikolay shook his head. "Bloody hell. She is going to have a hard time staying in here if that keeps on happening." Something similar had occurred earlier. That was the second time this day.
Nathaniel Gregorio | The Blitzkrieg
Nath paused his relentless blasts of electromagnetic energy as soon as Oscar told him that something was up with Hailey. Squinting his eyes, he looked on at Hailey to see Henry with her (again). It looked like that a dark mist was gathering under her. He didn't completely understand what was occurring, but that was a secondary concern. Right now, Hailey was as pale as a sheet of paper, looking completely petrified. "What the heck-"
Then it hit him. It was probably his fault, given that he was shooting those electromagnetic beams earlier while having a shattered focus. Overridden with guilt, he got down and covered his eyes. Was he crying? There was only one way to tell.
Finbarr had been a soldier, no, slave of the Ascendancy for the last two years. He found his dream and family ripped away from him... and turned to the perfect killing machine.
And this war within will only end with the Ascendancy's reformation.
"Come on, Flame.", Finbarr urged as Ashton suggested that they take the food shuttle instead of a plain transport. "I'm bloody famished, what with having to walk a lot in this place. I could have gotten us through a port-, actually, I don't know this place, so scratch that. What I'm saying is, this place is as big as the island where my colonist ancestors came from, so I say that we eat while going there. Pleeaaaaaaase?"
Finbarr was slightly taller than either Flame, or Ashton, and was older by a year, but he had this kind of childishness when they were just... well, themselves. It made him sound like a younger brother, in fact, though one should always remember that he was always watching out for everyone else here with his powers of retrocognition. In the end, though, Flame consented, and they all got into the shuttle.
"Look at all that hot stuff...", Finbarr commented as he looked over all of food that were neatly lined up in the racks of the dining shuttle, his grey eyes visibly sparkling with delight due to the prospect of having a hearty meal. By this point, his friends would know him as having a powerful appetite that matched his prowess with the dual plasma blades that he wielded in battle. Of course, he would also be known as their one companion that was never afraid to show how much he loved each one of them. After all, terrible times and the prospect of death and destruction were both powerful catalysts towards forming strong relationships and alliances... just like the pair amongst their ranks. Hell, he had lost count of the times that he had jumped in after sensing the mortal dangers that his friends had almost perished from.
Finbarr picked out some bread, or at least it looked like bread. He called bread "Soft Potatoes", never mind that the only bread that he had ever eaten that were actually made out of potato dough were those baked by his mother back in their subterranean settlement in Titan. Ah, hell. Those were very good and soft to the teeth. Finbarr wondered if he could replicate his mother's baking for his friends sometime. Hmmm. Maybe next time. Either way, he proceeded to take a donut covered in white sweet powder, as well as a bowl of beef stew. After paying for the whole thing, he set down his foodstuffs on the table near the shuttle window, and then waited for the others.
Name: Finbarr Callaghan Age: 17 (appears as 30 when under the effects of Shapeshifting) Physical Description:
Finbarr is 5'8" tall and weighs 65 kilograms. Overall, he has a modest form.
When using shapeshifting to alter his human appearance, he becomes 6'1", but he still weighs the same.
Important items:
- Armor: Standard issue body armor. - Twin energy swords: Two plasma blades that can be turned on and off. Light and easy to carry around, if not having a strange balance of weigh when wielded. - Pictures of family and friends. Believe it or not, he has a Rau've friend. - A diary containing all of his experiences. - Credits: A few thousand worth of money given by the Rau've, in addition to 20 million galactic credits derived from Ashton and Flame's playing of the stock market. - Plasma pistol: Definitely only for self defense.
Short Bio: Finbarr Callaghan was born to a middle income family in an underground city in the Saturnian Moon of Titan. As an only child, he was extremely cherished by his parents, and because of his loving upbringing in a rather friendly environment, Finbarr would grow up to have a heart of utter compassion and a positive outlook in life. And, to be fair, he truly was blessed in the lottery of destiny; he had a family that was quite well off, he attended a private school that was built into a space station orbiting the moon, had true friendship, and did not have any bad experiences early on in life. As such, he would see the universe as a place of opportunity, a realm where there is always a silver lining if one knows where to look. One might say that he is detached from reality, but no one can deny that this kind of thinking is the reason why he was good at what he does. Friends looked to Finbarr for comfort, and he spent quite an amount of his allowance when giving to beggars. All was well, life was good. Finbarr dreamt of going to theater art, and eventually become an actor. After all, his cousin, Connor, was also one, and was already starring in a few movies.
Those dreams would end up becoming wishful thinking, however. Finbarr was kidnapped by unseen agents on his way back home before his fifteenth birthday, and was injected with Kaisoken dust, giving him magical powers. The Ascendancy said that all of this was for betterment of humanity, even as he and his fellow youngsters were forced into a grueling program. Despite everything, however, the temptation to lose his humanity in the depths of horror and torture was ignored. He would help squad mates that hurt themselves, even if it meant a scolding from the higher ups. He would then be forced to fight, and even then, it took a lot of "convincing" with Mind Magic to get him to actually kill anything. It took a while for him to finally accept that he had no choice, and did the missions anyway, even with a heavy heart.
The battle of Proxima Centauri would be his last deployment. He was amongst the first to be captured, jumping out of a breach portal only to be immediately grappled by a Rau've soldier.
When he came to be, he looked around to see the friends that he had made in the camps in prison as well. At first, he expected to be abused yet again, but the Rau've were unexpectedly compassionate... just like himself. It would be reported that all he did was cry tears of relief as soon as the Rau've showed them kindness rather than wrath.
Now that he had been released, Finbarr had found his former dreams an impossibility, to return to his beloved mother and father a paradox. To this end, despite whatever his conscience may say, he will avenge himself, and every other child whose future had been ripped away from them by the Ascendancy.
Spell List:
Breach Portal (Timespace): Finbarr is able to open either two small portals (large enough for someone to put their hand inside), or one person sized portal at any given time. These portals can either lead to visible locations within 100 meters, or to a place that Finbarr is very familiar with. The exception to these principles is that if Finbarr detects that someone he is 'connected' to is in danger via Retrocognition, he will be able to project a breach to their location, even if he is not familiar with it.
Energy Blast (World): Finbarr is capable of projecting beams of energy from his hands, which are powerful enough to hit with the strength of a heavy laser.
Spacetime Lockdown (Timespace): Encapsulates up an entity in a cuttable dimensional pocket space via a beam of energy for 5 seconds. While inside, captured entities are unable to interact with the rest of the universe and vice versa.
Retrocognition (Timespace): Finbarr has a chance of being able to sense when someone he is connected to is in mortal danger. This connection refers to friendship, romance, or familial ties.
Shapeshifting (Change): Finbarr is able to turn to any kind of animal, though this requires practice for each type. Currently, he can be a cat, a lizard, and rat. In addition, he is also able to alter his human appearance to a limited degree. Usually, he uses shapeshifting to hide his true age.
Chronoshift (Timespace): Finbarr is able to shift back into any point he was in within the 10 seconds before casting, reversing injuries that were sustained prior to Chronoshift being used while retaining all memory of what has transpired. Chronoshift is usable in between cooldowns of 2 minutes each.
Character Traits:
Master Swordsman: Finbarr was trained as a master duelist, taking advantage of his small, nimble frame and Timespace Magic to be one of the most dangerous sword wielders amongst the Star Marines. While most individuals that still dare use melee weapons in such an advanced age would be gunned down long before they got close to their targets, Finbarr would not, what with his ability to cross engagement distances in the blink of an eye. As such, he is excellent when dueling with singular foes, though even he has limits, namely the fact that once he portals to a location, his exit point could be intercepted. In addition, he cannot endure damage as much as the likes of Tarak or Narvia; Finbarr is more well suited for settling fights quickly.
Deceptive Acting: For Finbarr, speaking lies are as easy as breathing, and pretending to be someone else is, apparently, part of his baggage. Long skilled in theatrics, he couples this with his Shapeshifting Magic, making him a good pick for infiltrations and undercover missions. Not even lie detection machines could find fault in him; telepathic magic would be required to sniff out his true intentions.
Just as Mephisto's throat expanded from the explosive blast of Maria's ill fated arrow, Astrad formed a floating fist of ice. Glaring at the demon with eyes filled with poignant abhorrence at the demon's defiling presence, he attempted to land a hit on Mephisto, guiding the hand that he had created with his cryokinetic power. The end result went awry, though, as the fist struck at Mephisto's tail, hurting the demon by a very little bit. In other words, his attack was rendered useless as it had barely done anything to injure the hell spawned abomination that was roaring and screaming at them in its draconic rage. Soon or later it was going to breath fire again, he presumed.
Astrad was still determined to harm the foul creature, and to this end, the cold mist from his hands coalesced into a few spears of ice, which he then hurled at the demon. Unfortunately, through a quirk of probability, none found their mark. They all missed and were stuck on the sanctum's structure instead. How sad!
"Whelp.", he said as he found his attacks almost completely ineffectual against the demon. "That sucked."

First thing that happens today is that the four of them get swarmed by a literal horde of HYDRA grunts, a gibbering cavalcade of tentacle heads that want their superior genes for the glory of the... new world order? Whatever it is that those idiots were serving. Either way, this day had just gone from bad luck to bizarre, what with a demon appearing inside the sanctum of a powerful wizard, or something like that.
Now, Astrad was a man that fervently believed in the divine, on the existence of angels and demons and the Lord Almighty, but seeing a demonic entity in the flesh was something else entirely. It looked exactly like what a quick Google Images search of a demon would deliver, and in this case, there was but one course of action: aid the wizard in banishing it back to the hell from whence it came.
"God help me.", Astrad whispered with a quiet wisp of cold air from his lips as he launched a cryokinetic attack against the demonic entity that had dared defile the sanctity of the sanctum with its filthy infernal presence. To this end, he had frozen the demon's feet, which would hopefully allow Strange to lock on it and banish it to the Warp... Hell... wherever. Squidheads and a demon... one could only wonder what's next.
"Hey, come out, you, no need to hide. I'll find you anywhere you go anyway, whether on this Earth or the next..."
Vibe looked around, searching for his prey... target. What was that guy's name again? Mirror Master? That's a rather descriptive name for him; that man used mirrors as portals, and when paired with his now imprisoned girlfriend Top, caused a very annoying rarefaction effect that was worse than vertigo or the ass kicking that they did individually. Fortunately, Top, or the Top of this universe anyway, had been captured a few days before after trying to rob a banks. Banks... why is it always banks?
Why was he doing this? Maybe to impress Gypsy, who has a stainless record of having absolutely no one escape her grasp, and maybe her dad too. Josh was very intimidating. Always has been. Breacher was getting old, though, and by the looks of it, he is going to lose his powers soon, just like every other Viber that got too advanced in the years. Maybe he'll get less scarier.
"Come on, just go out already, and maybe I'll rethink giving you to the Earth 19 people, those are really bad when it comes to your type, but yeah, you don't want to come out, so I'll give you to them, just because she told me to."
There seemed to be no activity whatsoever in that abandoned warehouse, save for Vibe's walking and the occasional scurrying of rats. Whatever happened to that... oh.
There was that man's dead body, lying on the dirty floor in a rather expansive pool of blood with several knives stuck on his back. It was strange, though, as it looked like they were flung at his behind all at once, what with the perfect positioning and the equal depth that they were embedded unto his flesh. Spooky.
"Oh my God, this was NOT what I expected..."
Yes, Vibe was a hunter. Yes, he sought for those that broke the laws of space and time and those that consorted with them, but not once has he killed anyone. Not on purpose.
And now, this man deserves a far more respectable resting place.
Astrad didn't mind if Brunnet Sparks here ignored his very existence; after all, all of their interactions so far had been of hostility, and it be honest, the last thing anyone would want to annoy was a pregnant woman. Seriously though, why was she flying around in the sky while pregnant? Weren't G forces bad for children in the womb?
Either way, he thought about his former mission, and now this one. Apparently they were visiting someone called Doctor Strange. Astrad guessed that this Strange character was a... well, a doctor, and was going to help these women do whatever they wanted. They hadn't really given any specifics to him yet, nor had he asked. Seeing and hearing what Doctor Strange would do seemed to be a better alternative than anything else.
When they had landed in New York City, one of the first things Astrad heard was Maria's complaining about him being heavy. Of course he was heavy for her! He was a guy with totally average height and average weight, and she didn't look particularly imposing when it came to physical form. "Lady, for the record, I'm a guy with less than average height and a totally appropriate weight to match with it. And the last time I had icecream was... last week."
Either way, while Sparky began knocking on the door, Astrad inched a little to Amelia; he found her to be most amicable of the three, and maybe not as pissed. "So.", he fidgeted rather sheepishly. "Sorry bout earlier. I was just being, uh, sure. I hope we can out that unfortunate incident behind us."

Vibe is a… well, a viber; a special kind of metahuman whose power is connected to the vibrations of the multiverse. Just as how speedsters are hooked to the Speed Force, the vibers in turn draw their power from the fabric of space and time itself.
One of the first of his kind, Cisco was born to a Puerto Rican family as the youngest of two brothers. His older brother, Dante, was never close to him, and they always fought. To this end, he preferred to stay and work alone, studying all sorts of things that have to do with biology and all that. He would quickly demonstrate to be a highly intelligent person, and would eventually study in Central City University, where Cisco would eventually gain a PhD in Engineering by the age of 24. However, the year after that, he began to have visions; visions of the present. Touching the belongings of others occasionally had this… effect, wherein he began to see current events, as well as the past. He was having… vibes.
Another year passed without anything happening, other than the visions of the past and present. Because of the subtle nature of his power, no one, not SHIELD, not HYDRA, thought of taking him… until that fateful night, when Vibe was truly born. New York City wasn't exactly the safest city, and after a late night out, Cisco and his friend were assaulted by a hostile metahuman criminal by the name of Top. With his companion disoriented by Top's powers, Cisco channeled the energy of the multiverse by pure instinct, striking Top with a blast of energy.
His unlocking of power was soon noticed by another Viber from Earth 19, Gypsy. Because of a dire need for Vibers to safeguard their locality of the multiverse from universe jumping criminals, Vibe was recruited by her in order to let him understand his abilities better and to control them with far greater precision, like herself and her father, Breacher. It wouldn't long before... hmm, feelings blossomed, and they were together, though their jobs would prevent them from being with each other for too long (plus Josh, I mean, Breacher, is rather scary oh wait nonono- *BLAM*)
As of this moment, Vibe serves as a hunter on Earth 1, hunting down extradimensional criminals and unlawful breachers. Officially, he isn't part of the Collection Agency, but he keeps doing what he does because of... her.

For one, I have always wanted to play Vibe because, well, we vibe. Seeing him in his TV series incarnation is essentially seeing somewhat of a mirror of myself in terms of nerdy stuff.
As for Vibe himself, his current goals is to continue his efforts in catching criminals of both the mundane and temporal nature, ESPECIALLY the ones that screw with space and time. This version of Vibe is more in sync with his 2013 and small screen incarnations, leaning towards the latter. He is by far a rather upright young man that would seem to be unable to take things seriously at first, but would then switch to a no-nonsense attitude once a mission is at hand. Vibe is an absolute nerd, and it seems that nothing could ever change that.
Because of his powers, he would still be able to travel all over the globe without much effort and also interact with pretty much anyone in the RP, granted that there is a good reason for them to.
