Ok, got some bad news. My computer is stuffed, screen isn't working properly. I'll get it to my computer guy asap, and I can keep up with the OOC/PMs with my phone, but I can't write big long updates on it. So WiR: 1861 is having a holiday. Computer will be fixed hopefully next week so I'll postpone the updates until then. Gives Stein the opportunity to set up his WiR.

That sucks, but oh well.

This is the single least sane thing you have said over the course of this entire roleplay. Britain was the last of the Allies to enter the war, and now every single one of the nations that joined before Britain has either exited the war or is about to be evicted from it. You have completely contradicted your earlier hesitation in joining the conflict.

Imagine if almost every Allied power in WWI surrendered except for the United States, and the President of the U.S. defended his decision for continuing involvement in the war on the basis that Montenegro had not yet surrendered. That's the situation you're in right now, and Montenegro is about to fall.

Did China and Japan declare war on the Netherlands while I wasn't looking? It was my understanding that their participation in the conflict was exclusive to Russia.

The quickest way to kill the Eighth Coalition is to stop the war. Once the war's over, so is the Coalition. You fundamentally misunderstand the nature of a coalition; the Eighth is not a permanent military alliance. This war that you've dragged on is the reason for its existence. Once the war is over, it simply ceases to exist.

Like...I couldn't land all my conscripts in North Russia, but I could in Netherlands cause of the short distance in the English channel.

Provided you were travelling from the eastern-most point of England, crossing over to the Netherlands (specifically Flanders) would require traversing about 100km of sea—three times the distance necessary to cross from England to France, and about twenty times the distance to cross from mainland Italy to Sicily.
