Stein, is Canada playable?

That's Transvaal, smarty. Not 'South Africa'

It's still called South Africa. :P

Canada is a dominion, not directly controlled by the British. And South Africa doesn't even exist.

I'm aware of both of those things. It is Canada's dominion status that made me think it would be available to a player.

I asked Stein about South Africa previously. The player currently controlling the Boer states will switch to South Africa after the war.
MagnificentOne said My only guess is that you were given Sweden since they actually have their own foreign policy, and doesn't have Britain holding supreme legislative, judicial, and executive authority above them.

Which only emboldens the question of their colour on the map, and why the equally restricted South Africa is playable.
I may be making edits to my sheet tomorrow.
Nope. Not me.

In fact, forget the canal!
If Canada isn't playable, why is it a separate colour from Britain on the map, and why is South Africa post-Boer War playable? I put Canada on my preferences above Sweden, so if Canada is an option, I'd take it before I would Sweden.

The Boers stopped existing literally two years after 1900, then reformed as South Africa. I highly suggest you simply play South Africa, which is what I set you to.EDIT: Also, we now are nearly at the 20 player mark. So I'll probably close registration after a few more players. Then we play the waiting game and wait for Maxwell to inform us what is going on with Keld.

If he plays as South Africa, would he first play as the Boers until the war is over?
