Henri is a dreamer. A man who pictures something better than Restraint. He's sarcastic and determined. It is believed rebel codes are written in his poems, but so far officials have found nothing. He do is fully aware some of his work isn't published, not without editing or tampering.

Grade School Teacher

Henri has no immediate alliance with the rebellion. Not at least until the Restraint book burning a some seven years ago. He, along with other poets and writers from around the city, watched as their hard work burst into flames. Henri has written three novels and seven books of poetry so far, the final three are influenced heavily by the banned literature he found and had stolen from the vaults and official archives.

She's easily swayed by propaganda and will often be found at public executions and parades, shouting and cheering.

Emilie fears the rebellion. She avoids those involved and has, more than once, stayed silent and chosen to protect someone who consorted in the darkness. Her proactive belief in the system has made her a target of haters within the district.
