— Fort Daelantine —

He found his arms restrained as he attempted to threaten and possibly beat another pair of combatants(although not neccessatrilly in that order). Indrau looked to be preparing to fight free for a moment before reconsidering and grumbling to himself.

"The idiots would deserve it."

The knight squared his shoulders and leaned upon his cane. As the twins began to channel their magic the one on his left, where his sword was sheathed would find it much more difficult than usual to do so.

It was a moment later that the calls to stand down began to sound out. He took a brief glance around and began to walk towards the fort.

"Be wary. If they were this thorough I doubt that this situation is as plain as it seems."

The girl walked on the side of the sidewalk closest to the buildings. Her phone vibrated in her hand. Not the steady vibration but the double beat meaning activity on one of Kuroe's accounts. She ignored it for the moment, not in any right state of mind to deal with anything but the situation at hand. Shizuri would rather be the only girl patroling in the whole district than in her current situation.

This thought was driven from her mind as she rounded one final corner. After a moments worth of standing in mild shock, she ducked back around the corner and scanned up and down the street. Shizuri pulled the marker from her pocket and bared her wrist, writing across it.

Let These Words Ignite

Black mist engulfed her for the briefest moment, stemming from those words and dissapating to leave her transformed into Kuroe, Magical Girl and writer. She rounded the corner, confident with her shoes tapping a cadence on the sidewalk. The girl paused next to a light pole and aimed with the marker before writing a single word.

Cut

She caught the pole with one hand as it fell, sliced clean across the base and wrote again.

I will speak loudest with deeds.
This will be the weapon with which I write my will.

It burned with a cool flame, changing shape into a long and slender blade over ten meters long. Sword in hand she continued the steady walk towards the ensuing battle, slow enough to give her a chance to observe before diving in.

"Mayons perky tits, we're surrounded by idiots!"

The knights face became an expression of barely controlled rage. He voiced his anger with a half shouted blasphemy and it wasn't readily apparent that he'd heard the twins. Indrau dismounted, the pain that must have shot through his leg not even showing on his face as he tore the cane from where it was tied to his saddle.

"Knock off the bullshit and think for one damned second!"

This was bellowed like an order as he grabbed a knight whom he hadn't bothered to learn the name of by the back of his armour and threw him to the ground whilst pointing the cane in a menacing manner towards the closest mercenary.

"And you can take a nice long step back before I beat you senseless with your boots and feed them to you."

It might have been something that the blue haired bitch had said. Ordinary bandits wouldn't exactly stick around once a sizable force showed up and anyone intent on an attacking might not have bothered to talk. This whole situation just looked wrong to him.
Yeah, I don't think I would be totally happy with anything I posted right now.

The Lion Knight shifted uncomfortably in his saddle, wearing a combined expression of displeseaure and boredom. It wasn't as if he didn't look forward to something interesting happening but he had always seemed to miss anything that happened closer to home and didn't require tedious amounts of travel. Riding didn't help any but pride would not let him ride in the back of a cart like an invalid.

He stood on the stirrups, stretching his leg and getting a look at the road ahead. After a moment he eased back down and loosened his blade in its scabbard, exposing several inches of naked steel. At least the journey was at an end, one way or another.

"I would think the we should have come across a patrol by now, even noticed one in the distance."

His voice ran with confidence but Indraus expression became uneasy.
Wish I'd never sold my copy :(
Do you think that laws would have been passed allowing Magical Girls to exist separately from their secret identities (in a legal sense). Like being able to have their own official identification and being able to open bank accounts and such.

Just as another means to protect their real names.

— Her Apartment —

The girl looked up from her tablet screen and tapped the end of the stylus against her jawline. The sun had just reached an angle that let it reach where she lay on the hammock hung diagonally across a corner of her room. It was late enough that she should be starting to think about preparing something to eat.

Even with the expensive computer sitting on the corner of the room she preferred to write by hand. Her first manuscripts had been on physical paper but with that came the inevitable difficult scenario of visiting the post office to send the package.

It had taken two months for her to muster the courage to send her first novel away to a publisher. Nine more copies were sent to nine more publishers before one of her works had eventually gotten published with minimal success and she bought herself this tablet, allowing Shizuri to avoid this unbearable obstacle.

She was famous now. Well.. Magical Girl Kuroe was. If the girl Shizuri had the fame and attention that Kuroe got it might be that she would drop dead on the spot. Today a dozen books had been published in the past two years and Shizuri was living the perfect life of isolation.

"~Fid. Where's my phone. I'm going to order pizza."

The diminutive Fairy looked up from a small pillow at the foot of the hammock. "No. You ordered ramen yesterday and pizza the day before that. Go buy something to make for yourself."

Shizuri sighed and reached into the pocket of her shorts, grabbing a marker. It was swiftly knocked out of her hand by a streak of shadow and fell to the floor. She rolled over onto her stomach and looked down at it with an unhappy expression. She knew exactly what the Fairy was trying to say and there was no point in denying it. Himura Shizuri would be the one to go out, not Kuroe. At least there was a convenience store just around the corner.

"Fine."

She climbed out of the hammock and picked up the marker, returning it to her back pocket. It would take just a few minutes. Nothing at all to worry about.

With a bit of a grimace she slipped into her shoes and left the apartment.
Ugh, so late but I made a push to get it done.
