"I must admit I may have been motivitated by a need to introduce myself. My duties often require me to take to the road so I am typically out of touch."

His posture relaxed slightly with more weight being bourne by the cane. Indrau gave a respectful nod to Sir Ricard before continuing.

"It's often that I can miss meeting new inductees to our order and as such take every chance I get to exchange introductions."

It was strange. She should be just slightly younger than himself but he found himself treating her as someone much younger. Perhaps having such a young captain skewed his perception a bit. With the exception of Tyeathe and Merillia he would be amongst the oldest current members.

"I've been meaning to ask the Captain about events that I might have missed, but she seems to be quite busy at the moment."

Wandering the grounds was also a much better alternative than completing his reports. It would also keep him well away from Fanilly's damnable maids.
No rush, I won't be at my PC until tomorrow anyway.
@harinezumikouken Think we're waiting on a post from you.
<Snipped quote by AtomicNut>I've been following the idea that most "healers" are magical in nature and don't need an infirmary with specialized equipment. Whereas the surgeon will be a guy with a bone saw, a scalpel, various tinctures and ointments; anesthetics. Cabinets full of crap.

Unless magical healing isn't exactly instant. people can still get sick and lost blood can't be magically restored out of thin air. A recovery area like an infirmary would be necessary in any case.

and given that the surgeon is a guy with such implements, why would anyone in their right mind even remotely consider paying a visit to one? Aside from cost concerns. (which, given that our characters are an order of nights, isn't at all an issue)

Every deity is female, every clergyman is female, every prophet-child born when the stars align over the altar of Baphomet every 100 years with the blood-sacrifice of a virgin goat is female. I figured the agenda here was obvious.

Doesn't stop sexist characters from existing, though.

If you don't like the setting established by the GM then maybe this RP isn't for you. Rather than try to change something that everyone here before you seems happy with it might be more productive and mature to have a go at creating your own RP.

Ice, mist, more water, etc. etc.? XD

Pretty much this. It's very much an ability that is only limited in scope by imagination. I'm sure I can make it evolve to something spectacular.

There's also the possibility that instead of water his ability will be based on manipulating volume too which could have a lot of future applications.

Not so much this. It's going to be limited to water and water based things.

Leaning on his cane and making no move to approach closer to the group and their guardian, Indrau regarded them for a moment. After several seconds he strode forward several paces and bowed slightly, enough to be noticeable but not put undue strain on his leg.

"Knight Indrau the Lion, recently returned from an investigation in the north. Whom might I have the honour of addressing?"

He had been around long enough that the veteran knights would know him but given his frequent travels it was entirely possible that he would be entirely unknown to the younger knights. Perhaps it might be time to commission a portrait or something. Regardless, given that he did not recognize the knights in front of him it would be only proper to observe the proper formalities.
I'm interested, character due this evening.

Judging by appearances a nights sleep and time away from any of the constantly multiplying number of maids did little to improve the knights mood. His was a ground floor room, of course. Not actually traveling or expecting to see combat today Indrau wore his 'blues', a long leather coat of identical cut to his usual one with a blue base and white accents with pearl buttons overlaid with silver lions. His sword and armor, while the same ones as the day before, were cleaned and polished. The attire was absent of any trace of gold. It was very likely that he had been awake until the early morning getting ready.

Sword in hand as the weight on his belt tended to add to the pain of his injury, Indrau walked out into the main hall. Thankfully for the sake of his sanity, the knight was just late enough to miss the introduction of the newest of the orders growing cadre of servants.

He headed straight out through the main door and headed towards the practice yard where it might be easier to focus. He paused at the sight of those already present, holding his distance so as to not intrude upon their conversation although it appeared that it was nearing to an end.
