He made a non committed noise that could have meant anything. He had no money, no idea where they were and no idea what to do next. He was almost of a mind to have a run in with the police just to give himself some direction and purpose. In fact...

"These police... are like guards? It isn't as if we've done anything wrong unless they condone the actions of whatever demons we've just fought off. Let us simply wait here for them."

He now notice that Hibiki was quite obviously quite cold. Though was was beginning to feel the effect of using so much magic in such a short period of time he once again reached into himself and bent down to the ground, pouring the heat of Telas into it until an area around the trio radiated a pleasant heat.

Ennis stuck her hands in her pockets and leaned against a car that was still, somehow, upright. It was well past the time to leave before any law enforcement showed up. At this moment all she could rely on was luck and the fact that she hadn't done anything quite as spectacular as the others.

Ben glanced ahead to where Hibiki had landed and then back to the destruction he had caused to the street. At least he had attempted to take care with so many people about. Rather than travel by warren to catch up, which he'd done far too much of recently, he opened himself to Serc again, stepping into the sky to follow an arc that landed him next to Hibiki.

"Is that sort of thing... normal here?"

He'd certainly come across demons before but usually there was some motive behind whatever violence they were delivering.

She tracked the flying monster with the rifle and then lowered the weapon. It was clear that she was quite unnecessary at the moment. There was a lot of very unusual things going on that she wasn't exactly prepared to deal with. Ennis put the rifle down, no matter how this turned out it would be suspicious for her to have such a firearm.
Count me out, I'm drawing a total blank for this.
Still here, brainstorming.

More people seemed to be gathering. He hoped that these fairies weren't the shy type. Their answers could prove to be their only lead to whoever this Dark Lady was. He put out of his mind that these two had pointed this hilltop out to her as being such a vantage point but...

"Was this before the battle? Or before we had shown up down there?"

Such a working of magic should have taken some time. The knights mmight not have been the initial target. Perhaps she had intended to use it to blast though the defenses of the town, giving the orcs and trolls the chance they needed to break in and take the fighting to the streets.

Other parts of his mind churned slowly. That this magic had enough power to still have destructive force left over after coming into contact with Silence was astounding. Many mages would be unable to to draw upon anything while even close to the blade. To come into contact with it should have annihilated the spell totally.
Leaning towards Demons right now, I tend to shy away from too many characters too quickly.
I'm interested in joining this. Is there a faction that is short on players compared to the others?

Ben Adaephon Delat straightened from his work, still cloaked by his illusions. The man wouldn't wake for some time, hours or days even. He would be weak for days from the healing. He wasn't sure why he'd done it, Quick Ben wasn't know for helping strangers out of the blue but simply being in the right place he'd felt compelled, if only to ease the mind of his current companion.

Now he turned his gaze to the sky and summoned Serc, lifting himself into the air until his could see clearly over the tops of buildings. Below him the illusory copy of him broke apart into a cloud of inky black streamers that faded and disappeared. Concentrating fully now he felt his way through the air currents to where the beating of distant wings disturbed it.

Some were already down but a few were left. Enough to make the effort worth it. He took hold of the entire mass of air and hammered it towards the ground as he gave chase. The high mage alighted onto the ground nearby and gestured again with perhaps a slight look of manic glee in his eyes. Streaks of scarlet lightning burst upwards through the street, heaving the ground momentarily before collapsing it inwards and burying the remains of the unfortunate creatures.

Ennis ducked behind the shield thrown up by the rather large... man? Not that it was entirely necessary to protect her but the gesture was appreciated. It gave her a moment to glance around, spotting the decimated military roadblock and its scattered soldiers.

She ran over, heedless of what else might be going on and picked up a rifle, scavenging a pair of extra magazine from the area. Given their poor track record thus far she simply shouldered the weapon, tracking the targets and waiting for an opening.
