Indrau strode into the fight alongside Tyaethe, his footing sure on the sheer surface. One of the first sigils he had put into use had been to give himself greater traction on most surfaces. With his bad leg even something as routine as a walk up a flight up steps could be a dangerous and treacherous endeavour.

Even so, he was unable to muster the leverage and momentum to outright dismember his foes so he employed precision and finesse, striking through tendons at wrists, elbows and hamstrings. Few blows he struck were outright lethal but their victims were no less out of the fight.

Salt remained on the wall, looking out towards the tree line with occasional glances at the interior of the courtyard. She would have liked to help search for what appeared to be a girls missing dog but the furry creatures always seemed wary of the half giant. Truth be told, she wasn’t exactly fond of them either. Now cats were her kind of pet and they simply seemed to regard her as a part of the furniture so long as she didn’t move.

The detective pulled up to the curb outside of the safe house, glancing into the other seat as his quiet passenger. He wasn't sure if she was simply shy, tired from the long journey from Ireland or simply a naturally taciturn person. Even if it was the latter it didn't bother him any. THe most irritating people he had to work with were some of the ones that would never stop talking.

"Here we are at our safehouse-slash-bookstore."

He glanced past her through the passenger side window to the front door of the establishment. His forehead creased into a pained expression.

"And there's our other new member. He can be a little bit overbearing sometimes. If you want we can skip the introductions and move on to your lodgings."

Sylvie, currently using the Polish surname Zima, stepped out of her truck to prepare her cafe for the incoming rush of students fresh from school. As she got behind the counter she could hear the schoolbells in the distance. This town was very nearly perfect in her eyes, Small enough for her to fully experience life in a small town but with enough things going on behind the scenes that she would have no trouble being entertained.

Certainly things weren't as exciting as boarding a French merchant as a pirate or facing down a Prussian cavalry charge but, as they say, the devil was in the details. In this current life she could take her time to experience every small thing to her hearts content. An excellent starting point would be these unnatural occurrences.

On a similar train of thought, she hung a sign up in the front door.

@Max the Wolf This is the second thread I'm subscribed to that you've done this in but this RP has been dead for over a year.

The mage shrugged at the rider without a shred of regret in the motion. "And if it had proceeded to attack some helpless bystanders would you have been able to live with yourself? Hesitation only benefits your enemies. Now we have control of the situation."

He crouched down and laced his long fingers together, studying the animal. "I knew some hounds like you once that served a god." That the god in question held a serious grudge against Ben he left out. "Where is yours, I wonder? Do you seek him even now?"

Ennis delicately sipped from her won glass of wine. She assumed that, like her, some of the others here were much older than they appeared. She followed this with a forkful of pasta while she considered what Klaus had said.

"It sounds like an organization like yours is exactly what we need right now, I would be pleased if you would allow me to join you. On the topic of an office, it shouldn't take much to reach a basic level of functionality. I don't know much about where you are from but if we do most of our conferencing over the internet then you would only really need a single, well appointed meeting room. As far as funding goes..."

She glanced at Sharpton and leaned closer.

"I should be able to find somee individuals who carry far too much ill gotten cash on hand."

Detective Lynch pulled up outside of the arrivals terminal of the Fairstone International Airport, drumming his fingers on the wheel of his borrowed car from the motor pool. This was a busy week for Soulflame. There was the Chinesae gangster and his charge on the run, now working with them. Today Steven Fan Drew the short straw, transporting ex convict Freemont Lundgren to a safe house.

So now Donovan was waiting at the airport for their other new member, on loan from another organization. He pulled up the file on his phone for Abigail Kelly, glancing again at the picture. As far as cars went, an unmarked police car wasn't bad but the push bar on the front and copious number of antenna's still stood out in a line or parked vehicles. He pulled the door open and got out to lean against the side of the car.

The old knight nodded solemnly. He had little doubt in himself of his weapon. The only point of concern was the exact number of orcs they would be facing. With Tiral on one side though and himself on the other they had little to fear from magic and none of the group should have any trouble at all with orcs.

He crept quietly ahead of Tyeathe, grateful for the silence that his mostly leather armour granted him. He would leave the signalling for Tyeathe to do but idly wondered if his craft could make such a thing possible for non magic users.

Indrau glanced back at the other knight and nodded that he was ready.
