I have also heard of the ejection making you shorter. It is by no means permanent. You grow shorter through the day just walking around anyway as the earths gravity slowly compresses your spine and it resets at night. The rapid application of a dozen or so Gs on ejection would have a very similar effect.

by the way, you being a Stephen Coonts fan, you may enjoy Punks War by Ward Carroll.
She nodded, content with how she had done without magic.
Or google docs. Saved my bacon more than once.
A vanilla Visby class is about 10m longth than the Sa'ar 4.5 you recommended to Silverwind. I've bumped that up by another 8m to give an even 80 meters. Here's the sheet. I rather like how the lengthened Visby class looks, the original always looks a little stubby.

|Ship Name: HMCS Gander
|Ship Class: Gander Corvette
|Ship Hull Classification Symbol: K101
|Ship Role: Fast Attack, Anti submarine, Anti Aircraft
|Armament:

  • 16 cell VLS
    + 10 x RIM-174
    + 6 Tomahawk cruise missiles

  • 4 × quad Harpoon launchers

  • 1 x 57mm Bofors

  • 4 × 400 mm torpedo launchers

  • 2 x 20mm Phalanx CIWS

  • 1 x Zodiac RHIBs

|Dimensions: 81m length, 10.4m beam, 4.4m draft(1.4m on foils)
|Speed: 74 knots (137km/h)
|Crew: 45
|Motto: 'Volemus Ala' (With Wings We Fly)
|Other: Built by the Halifax Shipyards but based upon the Swedish Visby Class as a stealth technology testbed for the Royal Canadian Navy. The design was lengthened to add room for larger fuel stores and more interior space. Additional changes were made with the addition of a Phalanx CIWS and the change to more standard weapons. Hydrofoils were added giving it an exceptional top speed.

|Captain's Name: Riley Morrow
+Rank: Lieutenant-commander
+Appearance: Tall, 42 years old with greying hair and green eyes.
+Personality: Harsh would be one word to describe the captain. Not to say he isn't unfriendly, but reactions can quickly be taken to the extremes.
+Bio: A career sailor, he jumped at the chance to command a one of a kind warship. His life before the navy was unremarkable and forgettable. His life after joining the navy was anything but. After an incident aboard a Halifax class destroyer off the coast of Iraq that resulted in a report reading, 'Prone to moments of less than inspired thinking', he was reassigned to an over budget program and sent off on an exchange program to be someone elses problem.

|Name: James Murphy
+Rank: Lieutenant
+Role: Executive officer
+Appearance: Short with short, coal black hair and blue eyes.
+Personality: A little bit on the cautious side, he offests the Cpatains wild nature slightly.
+Bio: The son of an polititian, James always had safe, administrative jobs in the Navy. After a scandal involving an over budget program ruined his fathers career, he was sent to sea aboard the fruit of his fathers mistake and forgotten about.

If you are looking for a small boat, I would recommend something along the lines of this .

Slightly smaller, at the moment I'm working off of an upsized Visby Class.
Kate climbed into the cockpit of her Jaguar, pulling the straps tight. With a last wave out to the ground crew, she closed the canopy and started the engines. Finishing the last of the preparation for the flight, she taxied out to the runway behind the Scotts Corsair. It reminded her of the aircraft she had trained in, the A-6 intruder. She smiled for a second before shuddering at the thought that it had very nearly been what she had taken to the ironically names 'Peace Games'.
Oh damnit, I screwed up. Might have gotten mixed up between Flight of the Indruder and Flight of the Old Dog.
I hadn't really thought it totally through, mostly just a fun idea I was playing with. Guess I'll go with my backup plan, a hydrofoil missile boat.
From an Corsair II to an Intruder? I think someone may be a Dale Brown fan.

Would a Panavia Tornado be out of the question?
Since nothing has kicked off and i never got a reply to my previous post, do you feel stepping in and giving me the go ahead for a character/ship sheet?

Must say that this interests me.I was thinking of playing a modern take on the Q-Ship concept. Similar to the original concept during WWi and WWII, it would have been designed to bait pirates and raiders.
