Today's the first time in a long time that I've felt empty. Not even sad or tired, just empty. This quarantine is getting to me more than I thought.

@Jessica Bunny: You live in America! College is optional (and expensive) and around you is opportunity. I believe you can make it!

Woah . . . whaddi miss? :) What's with the Pythomancers around here? xD

Anyway:

Leotamer said Also, Hanged, I am not entirely sold on your idea though will use it if I need to, would the Fae in your world be vain/ego-driven (maybe not all of them, but a group of them) , and is it possible that one of would adopt my character less to use him, but more so as 1. "Look at me, I adopted an orphan aren't I just the best." and 2. "Look at me, " I adopted a wizard who can do cool things." I don't really know why I have such a pessimistic view of fairies, but for some reason I do.

I'm good with following option one. Fae are good from our perspective, but they aren't necessarily thinking along the same lines as we are.

Shifter_Master said When I get back to my computer I can edit my post, not going to try and edit it on my phone, but the one that Hanged posted up in the accepted section is beyond mt power

Just edit the original post and I'll take it from there :)

Apokalipse said Lovedaia “Lufu” Marden

I like the character (putting aside the fact that any character that likes to make trouble is interesting . . .) but a few questions first:
1. Is this her first year here?
2. Why only choose to study Pythomancy, when she wanted to study magic her whole life? Sure, she sucks at it, but there are plenty of branches and sub-branches she can study.

Apokalipse said I just noticed my pythomantic doesn't have a badass animal...I'll have to fix that(:< Are dragons allowed? Oooh, no, kitsune! Or...or ummmm... a baku. A baku would be badass. But I like dragons, but I feel like that wouldn't be allowed. Idk. SOMEONE HELP ME DX

Sorry, no Kitsune and Baku - reason being is that this isn't the region for it. As for dragons . . . well, in truth, even taming a baby dragon is difficult for graduated students. Dragons are intelligent enough to talk and operate machinery and even write if you're patient. Rather than raising a magical beast, it's as if you're raising a child already.

Leotamer said Well, if I am allowed I plan on my character to have several will-o-wisps (2-4 not certain yet, probably three) as gifts from the Fae who took him in. And I can't have Will-o-wisps for whatever reason, I am thinking about having a pegusus since I image it would be a relatively easy to get magical creature and I like pegusi, blame Hercules.

Pegasus are moderately difficult to tame, but still possible while student (you're going to need to be talented though) 2 Will-o-Wisps are fine, but might I ask what you intend to do with them?

Anyway, it's nice to see you guys in discussion about the RP :) Once we have exactly six character made, I'll start the IC, is that fine?

Delilah smiled as she looked at the file and nodded, "Well, I have some news for this. I can actually make you better for a while. I can't do anything permanent, I'm much better with injuries as apposed to illness." She smiled at her and sat in her rolley chair before rolling over to her, "I can get your red blood cell count up to normal, I'm not sure how long it will last, but we can always deal with that when it comes. I can help with the asthma too for the time being. The neurosis and insomnia I can't do much about though, I don't know enough about the brain yet though I'm trying to learn." Smiling at her she held out a hand, "What do you say, will you let me heal you?"

Meruis looked up at her, studying Delilah. After a moment she nodded. "Thank you," she said. "Even if it's temporary, fixing my health even a little would be a big help."

Yeah, they've probably been in place since the school was founded, right? Woven into the stone and stuff.

Yep. There are 14 in total, seven of them are floating on top of the all the towers.
Leotamer said
I image they are, but are the vision wards warded from magic sense which my character has to a degree. Also, if something is hidden from magical sight, is it like it isn't even there or would the person know it is there but not sure what it is?

On the subject of the wards, the teachers personal wards are based around their living areas and several classrooms. Like Imp said, these Wards follow the latter, and it's difficult to discern exactly how far the wards can see.

On the topic of the Headmaster wards . . . you wouldn't be able to sense them at all. They're located so far away and interconnect with each other in such a way that even if you could sense them (highly unlikely) you wouldn't be able to tell them apart individually.

Melody stops playing on the piano listening to peoples powers and their names. She nods then quietly says "I urm am Melody. I well control water... but i can only properly do it when i 13." She whispers the next bit. "Tommorow..."

Rina took a look at the girl as she gave her introduction. As she finished, Rina noticed her looking a mixture of nervous and sad. "Well Melody, it's really nice to meet you, I hope we can be friends?" said Rina, offering her a smile.

She didn't know the reasons behind her reaction, but she could tell that Melody needed some comfort.

:) Good. It's kind of funny, my character is the type who having surveillance on her. She would know of the teacher wards, and would be keenly aware of the areas they cover, but if she ever found out about these, well... She'd probably have a panic attack, and afterwards would be absolutely sure that the Headmaster was out and about before she did anything outside of her room.

Well . . . let's hope she doesn't find out about that xD (although I kind of want her to . . .)

I'm hoping this doesn't include bathrooms? And, can he access the wards at all times, or does he have to be in a certain place?EDIT: Actually, why don't the teachers know about this? That seems silly. It's a reasonable security measure.

Teachers have their own personal wards, but the Headmaster Wards are the only ones on that level. Also, the wards are as much for the teachers as they are for the students. In any case, the Headmaster has to be at the Central Towers to access them.
. . .
No, it doesn't include the bathrooms :D

Oops delete the wrong age it seems, i was going back a forth between those two ages for a while until I just deiced to start typing and see what my hands came up with, I'll just edit that real quick. And the plan on progression is this; He has reached a level where now he no longer is being taught so much as he is teaching himself, but he is starting to get frustrated with the seeming lack of progression that this is causing. So does he start trying more dangerous experiments, does he stick with the old fashion way or does what is going to happen point him in a third way. That is the general idea anyway

Woah, no need to tell us that. Just show it on the RP :)
Anyway, just edit it and it's accepted.
Shifter_Master said
Well I always love it when I just start typing and when I look at the clock nest it has been two hours. Let me know what you think, opinions, thoughts, comments, issues I'm open to them all

Ooh, this seems nice, but one problem I have is on how you're going to develop his character further, however I'll leave that to you. Another problem is his age; 16 is too young considering the level of proficiency you've placed him in. 18 or above would suite better, otherwise, you'll have to make him a bit less knowledgeable than now.

No, I'm talking about the same character as before, the Ouramancer. Because of the way she was raised, she mainly taught that art to herself (with the spirit of her grandfather as a mentor), and her actual at the Academy were in Pythomancy and Art (and a few other mundane academics). She still took the exams they presented for Ouramancy, but that wasn't why she enrolled at the Academy. The Pythomancy was.Now that she's passed into the advanced years, she does individual research on Ouramantic topics, and continues to study and improve her Pythomantic techniques and knowledge... Is that alright?

Yes, actually. It's in line with what Ouramancers regularly go through.
