Today's the first time in a long time that I've felt empty. Not even sad or tired, just empty. This quarantine is getting to me more than I thought.

@Jessica Bunny: You live in America! College is optional (and expensive) and around you is opportunity. I believe you can make it!

Hey, if anyone is online, how do you determine rank and what rank is Meruin?

Delilah smiled at her an nodded, unsurprised by her display of power, "I look forward to watching you try to climb through the ranks then. Now, you must excuse me though. I wish you luck in your battle tomorrow, I'll be there if you get hurt." And she bowed slightly before leaving her and going for a walk through the woods.

Meruin nodded in acquiescence and closed the door, taking a deep breath. Delilah was mistaken, but that could work out well in the long run. What Meruin was dong wasn't a display of power, it was the building of it; this room was now her workshop, power-source, and hospital all in one. As long as she retained a connection here, her health wouldn't drop below 45% and she would be free to cast weaker spells repeatedly without having to worry about herself.

If she could somehow find a way to make it so her health did not drop below 65% then . . .

The Headmaster chuckled while shaking his head. "Well, I'll leave you two to it then. Try not to cause any trouble on the way, alright?"

Render turned away from the duo and began pacing down the grounds. The truth is, he did have a reason for shoving the two together like that; Render was know far and wide for his intuition and sensitivity to certain things, and for as long as he kept his eyes on those two, and in his opinion, there was no one with more raw talent in the whole Academy than those two when it came to metalworking.

The things Elizabeth could do to metal and the things Veili could make out of them . . . if those two were to somehow get along enough to collaborate, imagine the results, the products, the sheer genius that could be produced!

By the end of it all, Render Wiser was still a very curious child.
Wow, the amount of pictures going on around here :D

Anyway, I have an idea, and I need your opinions on it: Basically, before a major event happens, a series of minor events take place first, but the focus is singular; ex: the minor event is focused on Adam, and includes a certain nosy class rep. and several jealous batch mates - or something to that effect.

The outcome of these tiny events could greatly influence the occurring major event. So, what do you guys think?

Delilah shrugged as she lead her through the halls, "Well the ranking system is pretty simple. It's based on intelligence and performance. You base line rank depends on your entrance exams. You can improve this ranking either by improving your grades or challenging people with a higher ranking to battles to increase your ranking too. You'll increase one rank when ever you win a fight. You use the gauntlet to help initiate them." She explained before continuing, "The top ten students, like me, are in class A and are also on the student council. The first ranked student is Student Council President." By this time they had gotten to her door, "And here's your room. Does that answer your question?"

"Yes. Thank you," said Meruin nodding her head. "I'm going to need to prepare now. I don't want to do any fighting, but I'd prefer if they'd leave me alone so . . ."

Meruin stepped in her room, and at once, several dozen glyph's and circles glowed across the walls, floor and ceiling. She turned to face Delilah. "Normally, I wouldn't be able to do this, but you've fix my health up by a not so insignificant amount. If I had been this well during my exams, I daresay my final grad would have been a 100 on the written and a 90-above on the practical . . ."

The Headmaster nodded then grinned, abandoning all pretense of seriousness. "That's alright then. Anyhow, I know you're rushing enough as it is, so you might as well scoot along. Here, bring Miss Elizabeth with you. She's a part time guard, and has the same authority as one under the right circumstances. She's a known face around here, so she should be able to get you by without much trouble, unless it's too much of a bother for her?"

He added the last part staring at the girl with an expectant glint in his eye. "Besides, being students of the same age, I'm sure you should get along well," he said with a hint of a chuckle in his voice, for not-so-obvious reasons.

Render paid no mind to the guard who began protesting indignantly about what he perceived as rudeness on Veili's part. The Headmaster understood that the teen was blunt and straightforward, with the same disregard for formality that the Headmaster has. Still, there were words to be said.

"Yes indeed, it is a 'get-to-know' kind of day, which is all the more reason for you to not wave those things around. I understand what you're thinking, but it's not up to you to decide how much people can handle. Is it that hard to figure out that there are, in fact, children here? Children that do not come from hard lives?

"Perhaps you are right, and perhaps you are really not hurting anyone, but these restrictions are here for reasons. You were given the privilege of being a student that can come and go sell your products at your leisure, so at the very least, can you follow the rules set in place. Steps must be taken."

Render Wiser looked at Veili, waiting for a response. In terms of how what a person could see and handle; steps had to be taken. It couldn't all happen with everyone at one time. Not everyone was that strong, and until they were, the rules would still apply.
