Chase was in all honesty getting more annoyed with this kid. He talked big and his voice was a pain in the ass to listen to. "Godlike power? What the hell are you talking about kid?"

The Golden Empress stepped down from the air and began walking towards him calmly. The air around her began cracking, and her smile went cold. "Your nowhere near ready to face me kid. Your tough for your age, but Reina was more so, and so was I. I'm annoyed at a weakling like you talking big and pulling powers out of your ass, thinking that somehow it makes you so tough, Hell, give Meruin a few months of preparation, and she'd grind you into dust."

Chase was close to James now, and lifted out an arm towards him. "Come on dog, give your paw, and I'll make sure you don't go rabid again."

Chase just looked at him with a bored eye. "Boy, I am taking it easy on you, so do use your brain a bit and think."

The golden witch turned her body towards him, and suddenly James body was cracking in different places of his arms. "I destroy on a conceptual level. Spells, fantasy, reality, even thought are subject to this.

" That is why I am called 'empress'."

Chase huffed, a little putout by Lizs' observation. "Decay? Of course not! That's such a lowly ability, no excitement or brilliance in it at all!" With a grand swipe of her arm, she grabbed the glowing vat of water as it flew towards her. "Allow me to make the difference more evident!"
The water suddenly cracked apart like glass, with golden light shining in between the cracks. Within nanoseconds, it shattered completely and dissolved into golden sparks.

"Seeing as it makes no difference, I may as well explain how Chase's abilities work," said Reina. "In layman's turns, Chase's main ability is pure, undiluted destruction at a conceptual level. She can destroy quite literally anything, moving far past molecular destruction and even into the very thoughts that gave birth to a concept itself. Her ability is what gave her her reputation as a conqueror and empress."

Chase nodded. "Thank you for the long-winded and informative explanation, mein Rivale'! You know what, since I've had a chance to show off, why don't you pick a fight with that young boy you dragged in here?" she said pointing at Tyler. Her back was completely turned to Liz and James.

Chase stuck her tongue out at James. Reina sighed, Meruin sighed, and the arrow dissolved into golden sparkles.

Chase smile never left her face as the massive punch landed. The water itself began dissolving violently and the damage began spreading like a virus.

Reina shook her head. "She should honestly just end this now. In any case, Meruin, you ought to take note of this: This is Chase, the pinnacle of all combat mages in four dimensions. She may not be fighting seriously, but there are still things you can learn from her."

Meruin nodded, and took out two magic books to literally begin taking down notes.

Meruin and Reina weren't too concerned with him, barring scholarly interest. "And that is another thing about abilities like that. Meruin, take note: skipping steps on the road to power is a stupid thing to do," said Reina pointing to James. "You lose control and destroy yourself and others. Well, if it comes to that, I shall deal with it. At least now though he might have Chases' interest."

And indeed he did. Chase was drying herself off during James' transformation. Afterwards, the Golden Witch turned her heads towards the boy. "Oh? What's that supposed to do? Well then, your partner already gave her own strike, now it's your turn."

The sword impacted on Chase skin, but rushed past her and crashed to the ground below. As for the woman herself, she was brushing the water out of her hair. "Oh my, that was a nice bath. Can you make it a bit hotter though? I'm none to fond of cold water."

Reina raised the brow. "And so what is it that you feel when you use it? Should I care how you feel about your own abilities, when I can care about what it does to others? It is obvious that it is up to them, but you would still take that chance and allow your power to break them? Your still young, and don't know the full extent of how badly a 'what-if' can ruin a person. Now, I suggest that you let loose whatever ability it is that you think you need to control, because at least then you can entertain Chase."

"You give them a glimpse at unimaginable power, then you take it away is what you do. They do not deserve that power, but you can give it to them anyway. You give them the drug that is strength, and give them a peek at a future of power that may never come to pass. It matters not what shortcomings happens to you as a result of this; to the people you touch with your ability, you are a menace," retorted Reina calmly. Meruin, on the other hand, noticed his subtle shift in personality, and the not-so-subtle shift in voice.

Chase was just floatin' an chillin'.

Reina who was levitating Meruin and herself, nodded at Tyler. "Yes, actually. This it the place where Herakles once visited them, and Hera got queen Hippolyta killed." As James touched Liz, Reina frowned. "What a disgusting ability that is."
Meruin for her part was wondering when Lady Chase would get bored and just blow up the whole island.

Chase just floated there, occasionally stretching if things went on to long.
