Today's the first time in a long time that I've felt empty. Not even sad or tired, just empty. This quarantine is getting to me more than I thought.

@Jessica Bunny: You live in America! College is optional (and expensive) and around you is opportunity. I believe you can make it!

Reina cocked her head to the side, slightly curious if Liz was aiming to beat Chase someday. "Well, for one, all elements, spells, whatever, are all just part of a greater whole. All things can be categorized into four parts."

"The Four Aeons Theory," chirped Meruin. Reina nodded. "Exactly; in any case, the highest peak of any practice is to touch upon its Aeon. The four Aeons are: Creation, Void, Destruction and Existence. Water is part of the Creation Aeon. Are you following me so far?" she asked, unwilling to go further if Liz was confused; if she was, she would have to find another way to explain.
Reina smiled blithely as Liz popped the question she was waiting for. She was not as showy as Chase, but she was still her rival, so of course she would like a chance to show of as well. "Ah, well, at my peak abilities, I do the opposite of Chase: I create new concepts or switch existing ones around."

Meruin sat next to Liz. "Don't feel that way. All magics lead to the same source ultimately," said Meruin, parroting what Reina had taught her. "Water magic at its highest form is formidable enough to pose a threat to Lady Chase. Even if she managed to beat Great Queen Undine and Lord Poseidon, it was still a close battle in which either side would have lost."

Chase stared at James hard, as if hoping he would change his mind. When he did not, she sighed in exasperation. "Well, okay, if that's what you want. Perhaps it's for the better, I don't know. But in return, I want you to do something for me . . ."
Chase nodded, but her face turned neutral. "I can, but do I have to? It would be a huge favor to you sure, but . . . is that really what you want? To have to rely on someone else's power to fix your problems?" the golden witch walked in front of James, and though she was a bit shorter than he was, she had a large presence that was magnified by the power of her personality. "I'm not Reina; she's the one that never had problems asking for help. There isn't anything wrong with that, but I've stood on my own before I could even stand, and the only logic I know and the only advice I can give is the same. So again; I can do it, but do you want me to?"

Meruin in the meantime, began walking towards Liz and Tyler, with her Master right beside her. "Actually, there is another way to beat Chase," said Reina. "If you can switch the concepts between different realities, that will mess up her understanding of an object."
Chase looked at James. "Yeah, sure. What do you need, kid?"

Meruin instinctively snapped her head towards the sound of Tylers voice. "Yes?" she said, her face deceptively neutral. Reina giggled; this was going to be fun.
"Correct, essentially," said Chase nodding at James. She then returned her attention to Tyler. "Hm, so you're the boy the awakened her Soul Rune. I'd be careful around Meruin for awhile if I were you. You have no idea just how important that event was. Chances are, Meruin might have intense feelings for you for a few days. It's not unusual for that to happen, if you're wondering. Most mages become attached to whatever triggers their awakening, in this case, it just so happens to be a person."

Reina let Chase explain, while her thoughts focused on finding out who this 'Sol' person was.

In the meantime, Meruin's attention was drawn towards a sulking Liz. She seemed depressed for some reason.
Chase faced Tyler and smiled. "Breaking a concept depends on my understanding on it. I may not look or act like it, but I'm still a mage on par with Reina; that means that I'm as smart as she is, and have done almost as much research into my magic. Now, to answer your question, I can't. Omnipotence is a very complex concept, I mean. when you ask around the question on 'What is Omnipotence?' you get a million different answers, right?"

The Golden Witch clapped her hands, switching the conversation topic. "Now! Who're you, and how do you know my little Meruin? It seems your rather close from the random things you've been saying."

James looked at them. "Go ahead. As long as it doesn't involve dark matter," he said. "That's actually how I got these powers."

Reina and Meruin nodded absentmindedly. "It'll only take a second," they chorused. Reina and Meruin cut a few strands of hair off James, and then hastily slammed it into the purple books they were holding.
The both of them smiled excitedly. When they were back at their respective workshops, the research would begin in earnest!

Chase gave lopsided smile. "Sheesh, you two, have some manners. Anyway, get us out of here already, Reina." The white haired mage shrugged in response. Soon afterwards, everyone on the island found themselves back inside the school.
Chase sighed. "Well . . . I guess that's that for now. I - what are you two doing?"

Meruin and Reina were wearing identical small smiles and both holding purple books. They began walking towards James. "Do you mind if we preform a little experiment?"
Chase frowned, and touched the back of his neck, with or without consent. A golden crack filled the space where the cut was and soon it was replaced with whole flesh. "'Breaking' the concept of wounds is possible too, you know? In any case . . . kid, keep that ability of your under control. It's powerful, but ultimately useless if you can't control it. Well, anyway, you're at a school so you could probably learn how to do that." The Golden Witch sighed and withdrew. "Ah, whatever, spiels like this are Reina's thing!"

"Speaking of which, hey! Kid!" she said to Liz. "You still up for this?"

Meruin floated next to Tyler. Reina floated next to Meruin. The both of them where wearing identical expression; namely, highly curious expressions, like mad scientists.
David began brisk walking towards the lake. he had no way to help in locating the Kyle and Ivy, but the others could. Rather than spend time uselessly worrying about it, he decided he would train like always.
