Locked in a Room

Thomas rolled about in his bed. He didn't want to get up yet, he didn't have work today. Ben can make his own breakfast, he's old enough, Thomas thought to himself. He rolled over on his side, and pulled the covers over himself. Wait a second, he wondered, why's it light in here? I have blackout curtains. Thomas suddenly sat up and opened his eyes, seeing a fully lit room, with other people in similar beds to him. He looked around him, not seeing his kippah, which was usually on his bedside table. However, he had no bedside table now. Thomas looked down, and saw that he was fully clothed. Hoping that this continued for his entire body, he felt his head, where his kippah should be. Under his hands, he felt his suede kippah, attached to his hear with some clips, and let out a sigh of relief. Now I can worry about other issues, he thought to himself.

Thomas got out of his bed and made it. After all, a tidy room makes a tidy mind. Hopefully, James would remember that whilst Thomas was gone. Thomas also hoped that he would get back to his son, and out of this room, that he couldn't see a door out of. What he did see, however, was a man who was dressed just as smart as him, possibly even smarter. @SomewhatAverage He walked over to him, and began to introduce himself, "Hey, you have any idea what's going on?" he asked.

Travelling around Europe/USA

I have an idea for a rp that I think might not be too bad!

It will either be set in Europe or the USA/Canada, depending on what the players want. In the RP, my character's eccentric has just died, and has left him an RV, I'm currently thinking this. Then, with around four other people (friends and/or strangers who responded to an ad), he travels around Europe or the USA/Canada and chaos/friendship/romance/anything else ensues.

What do you all think? Would any of you be interested?

@TheIrishJJ thanks, glad to accept Thomas now. I think we can start soon and cap the membership at 10, if anyone wants to jump in immediately after we start we can frame it as them just waking up in the room late. But I'll begin working on an intro post.

Thomas Holtz

Name: Thomas Holtz
Age: 39
Gender: Male
Appearance:

Thomas stands at about six foot, and is slender. He usually wears smart clothes, and always wears a kippah, and glasses.
Personality: Thomas is quite optimistic, and can be eager to start friendships with people. He loves to have friends, but doesn't like to be the centre of attention, nor does he like being with loads of people at once. He is defensive about his family, his religion, and his choices. Thomas is usually level headed, however, he can lose his temper a bit too easily. He tries to keep it locked away though, as he can make bad decisions when angry. Due to his being opportunistic, he wants to be able to go as far in life as possible. Hopefully, he can become the head of pathology at the hospital he works at.
Strengths:
Intelligent: Thomas is quick to pick things up, and this has led to him being able to know a lot of things, including first aid

Languages: Thomas loves learning languages, and is good at it too. He realsied that this could be good in a hospital, and he now knows Hebrew, French and German, on top of his native English.

Flaws:
Short tempered: Thomas can get angry quickly, and make rash decisions. When angry, he can also begin to get violent, and threaten people.

Religious: Thomas is a moderately devout Orthodox Jew, and is considering becoming more devout. This causes him to refuse to do some things that would be against his religion, which is sometimes a bad thing. This is due to his worry that he won't go to a good place when he dies.

History: James was raised in Michigan in a Jewish family with many brothers and sisters. This has made him a moderately devout Orthodox Jew. He always wanted to be a doctor, and when he finished high school he went to university in the UK to get qualified faster, becoming a pathologist. Whilst there, he met a Jewish girl, and they fell in love. Whilst they were still in university, they got married and had a child, Ben. They aimed to raise him a correct Jewish way. Thomas decided to stay with his wife and child in the UK, and became a dual American-British citizen, like his child. Unfortunately, when Ben was ten, Alice died, and Ben began to be rebellious. This became worse when Thomas was told that his child had made a girl pregnant. This angered his so much that he decided to move back to America, taking up a job in Philadelphia. They have lived there for the past four years.

"Wait, you too?" said Kale, pausing. "It was a trap. Eve, run." Suddenly, Kale and his Eevee set off in a run, heading towards the city.

"What the-" Chris mumbled, realising the turn of events that would make someone thing that they had been lured into a trap. After realising this, Chris ran to catch up with Kale, with Duskull following behind. After a few minutes of running, Chris stopped to catch his breath. He looked around - Kale was nowhere to be seen. Duskull flew up above the trees, but he couldn't see any sign of him either. "I guess we'll have to go on without them," Chris told Duskull. "Skull," Duskull replied.

Chris and Duskull could see the city from where they were, and continued walking towards it. However, it looked much darker than it should be. When they got closer, they realised that there had been a power cut. "There could be injuries!" Chris told Duskull, setting off into a run towards the city, with Duskull alongside him, mostly invisible.

"Ah, I get it," Kale said to the soldier, "You think if we can breed then, we could make a bit of money. I'm listening." Chris was interested in pokemon breeding, especially a pokemon like Eevee and Umbreon, but he assumed that the solider wouldn't want someone superior helping with the breeding, and a civilian wouldn't want a member of the Regime helping out, even if he was a medic. Chris didn't mind though, he had his own pokemon to deal with, and it wasn't like he had an Eevee or an evolution that could be bred.

Since Chris had been walking for so long, his legs were starting to get tired, and he decided to lean against a tree. Even when leaning against the tree, he was still considerably taller than both of the boys. Whilst the boys went to their talk, the pokemon came over, and started using baby doll eyes. Even though he would usually be smarter, he fell for it. He stared at the pokemon, not listening to Kale or the soldier talking to each other. He didn't even notice when the Eevee went and came back - he was too busy admiring Umbreon.

Suddenly, Chris heard the soldier shout out, "Eat this Regime scumbag!" and he looked at him. He noticed that he was holding up the staff that he was holding, and he got ready for an attack. "What!?" he shouted out, "I'm not Regime! Duksull, help me out here!"

"Skull!" Duskull said whilst flying out of the tree that he was in, becoming visible now.

@TheUnknowable @Overlord24 My character still isn't Grimm. Also, I'd like to point out that the Regime wouldn't know about the shiny Duskull. People (in and out of the Regime), probably wouldn't know that he's secretly left the Regime either.

Chris listened to the solider's explanation, "Yes sir I handled them they jumped out at me from nowhere, so I took care of them," he was told. "That's very good," he told the soldier. "By the way, I never got your name," he said, "What is it?" He was annoyed of not knowing this solider's name, even though it was quite obvious that the solider knew his.

"My name's Kale Fields. I live in a trailer park about a mile over there," the boy, Kale, told Chris. This story sounded realistic, some pokemon took a long time to house train. He needn't worry or not he was lying, since he wasn't really a regime medic, and he could also see Duskull out of the corner of his eye. Chris was sure that Duskull would look out for him, and he also knew that anyone would believe he was a rebel if they found out about his shiny pokemon. When the soldier asked Kale to speak alone with him, however, Chris became slightly suspicious.
