Placing two spaces between sentences that run over into a second line causes the to sentences to overlap. Here is an example that shows this happening. "Mythology" and "The" are overlapping. I know that this was more of a "if Ares dies", but I don't think the potential of the Greek gods dying meshes well with Greek Mythology. The Greek gods are called the athanatoi (ἀθάνατοι, 'immortal, deathless') for a reason.They don't overlap for me.

About Me
I'm a roleplayer by night, but by day I'm a software engineer. I have been programming in some capacity since I was eight, and once I discovered programming I simply never stopped writing code. Some of that code I've written was for this very website, and maybe some day I'll add some more. However, most of my work is done in boring corporate land.
I discovered programming in a game called ROBLOX, and coincidentally that is also where I first discovered roleplaying. One day I was exploring the forums, and noticed a roleplaying section. Curious, I took a look and I was instantly hooked. The content was mostly in the Free RP level, with a small amount of Casual tier games, but at the time even that was high quality content to me. Over the years my interest in the game faded, and although I continued programming after ultimately leaving the community, I did not continue roleplaying.
Years later, I gradually started wanting to get back into roleplaying. I began googling around, and after looking at a few different websites I finally decided that the Guild seemed to be the best of them all. I made an account on December 13, 2014, and started jumping into some games; I quickly decided on sticking to mostly High Casual, but eventually moved more towards Advanced as I realized that most of the games I was in were easily at that level anyway. This was right around the time that Mahz was working on rebuilding the website from the ground up, and after chatting with him for a while in the IRC during some site downtime I decided that I wanted to help.
I ultimately didn't contribute too much, but nevertheless I was the first (and so far, only one of two?) non-anonymous users to help Mahz with developing the website. As a reward, after he implemented the trophy system I was awarded the special Benevolent Cyberpunk trophy, which gives me a special userbit that looks like this:

Latest Firefox on win 8.1, for me. It isn't really important, was just pointing it out.
- Can't reproduce the Preview mode messing with native undo. The BBCode editor buttons themselves mess with undo because they don't trigger "InsertText" events. So interleaving manual writing with BBCode buttons will hose the undo system.Just tried without any BBCode, still can't undo.

EDIT: Also, when you highlight text, add a BBCode tag to it (was pleasantly surprised that it automatically wrapped the tags around the selection) and then Ctrl+Z, it highlights the entire post. Completely random and not really worth worrying about, but thought I might as well note it.
EDIT 2: When you preview your post, you lose the ability to undo/redo - the editor seems to forget all previous actions. Again, not very important, but noteworthy.

This is implemented in the big update coming this weekend (including BBCode). All currently ghost-mode users enabled it before the migration to the new site.

I fixed that days ago. New RPs should put the first post under OOC. If they still start as IC, either Mahz hasn't pushed the changes onto the site yet, or something very odd is happening.

Especially since my posts tend to average several thousand words in length and thusly contain quite a few paragraphs each (worst of all is when people write rapid-pace dialogue with double line breaks after each sentence - I have a rather hard time reading those straight since I keep losing my track and skipping over lines). We don't need a thousand fancy formatting options before the most basic things possible are available.
The single like break issue is because of Markdown. When he has finished implementing the BBCode parser, Markdown will be removed. Thus, your single line breaks will be restored.
So again, perhaps you can survive with double line breaks while he finishes implementing?
EDIT: with a bit of googling, it turns out that you can use single line breaks by adding two spaces to the end of the line, then moving to the new line.

Is it really so bad to just use a double line break while we wait? No offense, but I don't think the world will end if you have to write a post with a few empty lines, which you can remove once it has been fixed.

That will return once a BBCode parser has been implemented. Markdown quotes don't remember the name of the person being quoted, BBCode quotes do.
